Neither is Rashee Rice most likely. If we beat the Chiefs, I won't say that we will become the team to beat, but it will mean that the gap over how superior they are to the rest of the AFC will have closed just a bit. You still have to get past them in the playoffs in order to pass them, and I know this truth very well.

TWO years ago the Chiefs had 2 new receivers (Juju and MVS) in an Andy Reid offense with Mahomes as QB and no real film for defenses to study until around mid-season... Mahomes went 5000 and 41 on the way to his 2nd League and SB MVP... Now 2 years later they have 2 new receivers in an Andy Reid offense with Mahomes as QB and no real film... If the defenses play deep, Kelce will feast and Pacheco will have a lighter box to run in... If they play up it goes over the top... Even with the defensive losses this year, this is still one of the best defenses in the Mahomes era... So, I can see another 5000 and 50 on the way to a 3 Pete... Just My Humble Opinion based on stats and facts...

@@jefeseason4990 TWO years ago Tyreek Hill left and the offense changed from fast and explosive and going over the top regularly, to Mahomes dunking and dunking and taking what he got... Big difference and a whole different look... But we got speed back and the long ball will be more prominent... Those are noticeable changes in the offense... And 2 years ago when Hill left and the long ball went with him, opposing teams took half the season to start figuring it out... It will be the same this year... With different skill sets you have to play a different type of game, AKA as a different / new offensive scheme... So spin all you want, but the offense changed with the loss of speed 2 years ago and it will change with the addition of speed this year... Andy Reid is known for adapting his offense to his players strengths, new players means changes, any way you look at it...

That is going to help your offense but you can take the full offseason, there is no gameplan for Lamar/Henry backfield combined with Zay Flowers , Likely/ Andrews. It’s not enough defenders on the field to account for everything on any given play

That's a good matchup

The expectations for this opener are a bit far fetched, the conclusion of a few ragtag preseason games will not necessarily reflect midseason form.

It's been clear for years now that Mahomes is Jackson's kryptonite. There's only two QBs who have beaten Mahomes in the playoffs, and only one of them is still actively playing. And statistically speaking, it's very rarely happened that a QB who loses his first SB appearance returns to the Super Bowl. That's only happened three times in all of NFL history.

The NFL is doing this to troll the Ravens, AGAIN! The league has hated us since Modell screwed over the Dawg Pound in 1995, and they'd love to see us watch the Chiefs raise the banner that could have been ours. Not to mention this game will be played on the Anniversary of when we got skunked by Peyton Manning in 2013 because Peter Angelos and ESPN wouldn't let us open at home since the Orioles were playing the Yankees on National TV that night as well. Did I mention that Taylor Swift will probably be the master of ceremonies before the game? If we win this game, the Chiefs will still be the team to beat, but the gap of where we are compared to them will have closed just a bit. Not by much though, we still have to get past them in the playoffs just like we had to get past New England in 2012. Not to mention in that season we had a weaker roster than 2011 as is the case this year. Chiefs Kingdom, if you think this will be a homecoming game, GET READY! BECAUSE WE WANT ALL THE FREAKING SMOKE!

You are right. Mahomes plays different in the playoffs, he takes more risks in the playoffs. Mahomes will not run the ball much. During the regular season, or go on 4th down regularly.

As a Chiefs fan it’s annoying to have a critical AFC game to start the season. Luckily, it’s the Ravens! Lamar is massively overrated as a passer, DC gone, OL decimated in FA. This is a team poised to take a step back. Lamar tried to play real QB in the AFCCG and played one of the worst games I’ve seen by an ‘elite’ QB in the game that matters. Stone, Queen, etc. plus the DC that’s a ton of change! Mahomes was playing right with the lead. Left a ton of plays on the field not willing to take chances. Your QB throws INTs into triple coverage in the endzone….

@mason Lamar is overrated as a passer. He tried to prove something in that game and it blew up in his face. For them to succeed he has to run and pass off of that. He played a real defense and couldn’t hang. If not for an uncalled tripping on Jones he’d of taken a safety. Justin Reid dropped an easy INT too. He’s bad in the games that truly matter!

Then when he really started to pop off in the league, he had another public incident involving violence on his son and recorded threats to his baby mama. And the Chiefs still gave him a huge contract extension. As long as you can run and catch, the Chiefs will find a way to get you paid. It doesn't really matter what you do off the field. Even the coach's sons, can have legal battle after legal battle, and still get NFL checks from the Chiefs. And this is coming from a guy who is born into the Philadelphia eagles fandom and love for Andy Reid. But facts are facts. As long as rice can run and catch, chiefs gonna make it work.

Except the local authorities & the NFL investigated the second incident & found those claims to be unfounded. So yes, the Chiefs signed him to a new contract. The woman even admitted on tape not ONLY did Hill NOT break his son's arm, the woman admitted she set him up in college too. But yeah sure, keep perpetuating false narratives, by all means!
