Ravel's World
Музыка
A universe in each room, and a forest for his imagination... Journey with us outside Paris to uncover Maurice Ravel’s endlessly creative, boundless world. We travelled to Ravel's home in Montfort l'Amaury, about 40 km southwest of Paris, a unique gem that conveys his sense of humour and love of all things small.

On ne se lasse jamais de revenir à Ravel. Ravel c’est l’éternelle poésie de l’enfance. Ravel est peut-être le plus merveilleux compositeur de tous les temps de toutes les cultures.
Maurice Ravel. One of the few people I would travel back in time to invite to dinner.

Concise, entertaining, illustrative.
I can hear some of Ravel's piano music echoed from the bird sculpture. An absolute time-travel experience!

They refused to accept the fact this man has a house in this world, as if he’s not from another world.
After Debussy, Ravel's my favorite composer.
Sweet, while cutting of the ending of Jeux d'eau is a tiny bit dissapointing well done overall.
I saw a house in France with a plaque on it saying Maurice Ravel lived here, but it wasn't this house. It was in a small town, or village, and it looked a bit like an old style English house in the Shakespeare country. I can't remember where it was, but I'm pretty sure it was north of Paris and there was a sheltered market square type building nearby, also made of wood.
What is the name of the piece playing at 1:30? I’ve yet to hear it...

Can't see the tr a ndlation behind the dubtitles
Good documentary, but your rendition of Miroirs V. sounded kinda rushed.
At 6:02, what piece is she playing?

Yes, la vallée, but she can’t actually play it
Each room is not its own universe....the metaphor is an exaggeration. Does each room contain galaxies? No. Does it contain planets and moons? No. Does it contain comets and asteroids, and meteors? No.
