    I would rather Haskins play against the Dolphins than the giants tbh. I feel that, unless he has mentally grasped most of the offense, he shouldn't be playing. I do believe that we will see haskins play this season, but I rather it be later than sooner. Trent Williams......you bring up a solid point about him possibly letting the team down. Regardless of his feelings towards the medical staff and/or the front office, at least play for your teammates, for the fans, screw everyone else. Jordan Reed needs to retire, his health isn't worth risking, especially for a team that looks to be rebuilding soon, he was a solid player, but he needs to call it a career. Lastly, I appreciate your Redskins content, I like how you keep a "glass half full" point of view on the team, your not pessimistic like a vast majority of fans , nor or you full of it like the folks currently running the team. That's something to be commended for, especially during a period where the skins leave nothing for us fans to be proud of. Keep up the great work, I'm not the biggest sports fan outside of football but keep doing what you doing dude. HTTR

    I appreciate the kind words...it's not easy trying to stay focused on things with this franchise mucking things up around every corner sometimes it seems, and to be honest often times I stay away from the microphone when I'm highly pissed. Also, if you are looking for something to be proud of, it's not much, but the drafting the team has done since reworking the scouting department in 2017 has been excellent...obviously before that timeframe is in constant question but on that note, the future looks bright if we can get the coaching on the same level eventually.

    HTTR® Another reason to fire Bruce. Promote Smith to GM, let him run the draft, acquire free agents, and find us a new coach. Needs to be done sooner than later. No guarantee this will turn franchise around, especially with Snyder around, but would give us a much better chance.

    It’s true. KZread has changed a lot from back in the day, more importantly the answer to your question. Now you and me go back so u might understand the method to the madness. Let jay put colt in. At this point he’s already we’re 0-3 looking at another division game. We lose this then it’s truly over. At this point Haskins doesn’t need thrown to the lions when we potentially may not have 2 starting offensive linemen. And mainly I don’t trust gruden with Haskins.

    Good for you, stick with the Braves. Grew up in Washington area, but no team at time so went and cheered for Orioles who were closest team. When you are a fan of a team forever, and you are a true fan, you just don’t abandon that team. Since the Nats are in national league tho, I do root for them in that league and since my O’s stink now I must say Go Nats! But if they don’t win, good luck to your Braves. I must admit I do have a small affection for them since I watched so many games on TBS back in the day. Will never forget that Sid Bream play at the plate against the a Pirates in the playoffs. One of the best games I ever saw.

    The TBS days were golden...I grew up with the same type of respect for the O's. The Ripken's were among my favorite baseball families so I had a soft spot for them as a local team. Never my favorite, but I checked the box scores in the paper daily. That Sid Bream play was perhaps the biggest moment of my Braves fanhood...well that and watching Mark Wohlers close out the series a few years later. Sidenote: I met Wohlers while he was in Richmond, his wife is cousins with my best friend. My favorite meet and greet from those days was either Ronnie Gant or Chipper...Richmond was a happening spot for young talent in those days.

    HTTR® very cool side note. I bet Richmond was a happening place. Especially since the Braves had more than a decade of dominance and it was done mostly with home grown players. And Bobby Cox was a great manager, he knew how to meld all that young talent and make it great. Reminded me a lot of Weaver. Both amongst the best ever and also I think they are number one and two in getting ejected. Lol.

    Gonna be honest bro, there are not so many good memories on my end. Two things stick out from this decade though. In 2011 Antrel Rolle said the Giants would beat us 99 out of 100 times...we went on to sweep them that year, of course, they won the SB. In 2012 RGIII came back in the 4th quarter against them on Monday Night Football and beat em in his first MNF game. That game was the third we won in a row (ended up winning 7 and making playoffs after starting 3-6)...it also marked the last time we won at home on MNF and the only time we have since the early 2000s. And no I'm not bullshitting about that last stat either, smh.

  • @sam21skin

    No one here has a clue how ready Haskins is. What we do know is that the offensive line is constantly changing. We know that there is absolutely no running game. We know the defense is going to give up a lot of points. That means that whomever plays quarterback on Sunday will face heavy pressure (giants lead division in sacks), beat a defense that isn’t scared of the run, and most likely will have to play from behind. That is a regrettable task for ANY quarterback. One argument I hear a lot is, “what does it matter if the team stinks, the season is lost, just let him see what he can do.” -Fair. There’s no reason to prohibit him from playing this season But be smart about when you play him. Don’t rush into the decision because the team isn’t winning. Wait until the matchup is most favorable. And in the meantime try to win the divisional games. Keenum is the best chance at a victory this week.

  • @capsfan3940
    @capsfan39404 жыл бұрын

    I know a lot of people want Haskins in this week and might happy Keenum is in a boot. But this is bad news. If Daniel Jones after a great preseason and 1st start lights up Redskins defense and Haskins struggles it will set Haskins back and hurt his confidence especially considering the opponent. And we Redskins fans will never hear the end of it from both Giants fans and the national media. Keenum was no doubt terrible Monday, but QB’s should get more than one bad start before a benching. This is the problem with fans, they overreact to one game all the time, bad or good. I am not for sitting Haskins all season. He needs to play and get experience, especially since we are most likely out of it this season. I would suggest somewhere between the Miami game and the week after the bye. He obviously has talent and I can’t wait to see what he may do. But be smart, we all saw this preseason that Jones is ahead of Haskins at this point. I don’t know about all the other Redskins fans out there. But I am tired of being embarrassed and seeing this franchise do everything wrong and hearing media and fans of other teams keep reminding me of it. Let’s not ruin this guy. Because once he starts playing, he needs to play every game. We can’t be calling for his head, like we are with Keenum after he has a game with 5 turnovers.

    I'm always worried about rookies, especially QBs, worried that fellow-fans will expect too much too fast from them. Of course, there's always that chance that he takes off the moment he gets his opportunity and doesn't look back as well. But, as normal in the NFL, he'll more than likely find moments of failure and if the fanbase turns on him then, his confidence will be destroyed. I honestly think this team needs a spark to get going, but a spark on the offensive side of the ball may not be enough to fix the failures in the coaching room. Gruden and company need to step their "A" game up...they've got a lot to prove and at this point, I'm not so sure we should want this coaching staff with their hands on our future guy.

  • @sam21skin

    As a Spurs fan I’ve been down this road with Kawhi Leonard. He blamed the training staff but it was never really the training staff, he just wanted to get out of the organization. Even our most beloved stars have a right to play for who they want, contracts apparently don’t mean anything anymore. Can’t bother getting upset that Trent just doesn’t want to deal with DC/Snyder and his antics.

Kyler Murray only played one year in college as well and he started day one. The baseball talk was just in passing since they just clinched...in the future, those conversations will be in their own video although I will say that most podcasts talk about all types of things from food to music to different sports, just sayin.
