What? I didn’t know if I was even allowed going to be a part of the opening til much later. I didnt care while on vacation. Unlike most other people actually seeking specific cards, I didn’t know what I was gunna like or not. Not gunna lie, I actually like this set. Even if it wasnt sponsored. I’d probably still like it likely still hold a case like I have for RA01. That’s my personal opinion on the set, some will like it some won’t. After counting there’s at least 33 cards I like and I’d like them boosted to Luxury rare status. Unlike most folks seeking reprints on diviners, thrusts, and trident Dragions, (i could use more thrusts tho). Is it as good as rc1 in card pool? Likely not. Is the structure better, yes. It hit odds are a bit too high. Opening feel is better. Pricing is higher. That is a fair point it is higher. However if RA01 started at the same price, and then RA02 higher price there likely be less outcry. But that data can be used in a way that favours the consumer less. If another product that comes out that is almost as good as collection 1 then price point could just start off higher. So it standardizes the pricing structure, becomes less of a factor to critique for the future. There’s so much I could talk about it on the set in a podcast setting.

I'm a little disappointed in the card list, but that platinum secret rare update does look incredible. Probably the best looking luxury rarity to me now.

The ultis from this set are way higher effort than the last one. The textures are pretty nice this time around.

As someone from Europe who pulled a lot of RA01, I'm a bit disappointed to see the card quality still being so uncontrolled for the higher rarities. i know it's not easy to prevent, mass production and all, but still. It's a luxury set, would be nice if they put some extra levels of quality control in. In RA01, the name of card prints on ultimates was a bit shifted to the top part of the 'name bar'. seems to be the same as shown at 8:35 in the video. Also a big thing was that, for european boxes at least, secrets and quarter century rares were a bit weird in their foiling quality. some cards like shaddoll schism, pot of extrav and code talker inverted, as well as some effect veilers, had next to no foiling on the quarter versions, while others had massive amounts of foil, which was a huge disappointment. it made getting extra copies off the secondary market such a hassle if you wanted the copies to match each other (it's probably just an ocd thing but it bugs me idk). Hopefully it won't be a repeat of that. Great range of cards in the set and as a collector and player I'd love to pick some of these up.

​@@MSTTVDiviner, the bystial monsters, Trident Dragion (Fuck the tin reprint. It's literally too late) and probably forget some other good cards to put into that set. Reduce the stupid insanely large set that will be this year's megatins and shove 1-2 chase card into rarity collection instead. I bought 3 displays of RA01 and wanted to buy more but need cash for some of the higher end singles. RA02 is at best 1 display if even that. Rest will be singles. And if the high end cards are too expensive I'm just skipping the set entirely.

I was with you guys til Tom said " its slightly better". Honestly not a horrible set like people have been complaining, but no way is it better than RC1. That was Komoney talking throuh Tom.

Let me give you some context on “slightly better” and why I said it. I was not addressing the card pool, the card pool collection 1 clearly is the winner. But the other factors 1. 9 card packs pull ratios were better. 2. The numbers of hit per box was higher 4-5 QCr, 5 Plat, 6-7 CR, 6-7 Ult, which made it nearly hit every pack. 3. Platinum Secrets were addressed! It’s something I wholeheartedly recommended (if you followed my twitter highlighting OcG vs TCG, since most people) These factors make the pulling experience slightly better. I’ve pulled more “Ice Barriers and Dogmatika Punishments” than I can count taking up luxury rare slots, at least when we pull 1 lux secret you could get lucky and get a second chance OR have more odds of getting a hit. These pack does seem to go easy mode on pull ratios.

I still bought a box just to open and see what I can get especially with the new Platinum secrets which are so much more awesome! One thing I really liked about the video is that you went in blind and not knowing the list, something that I may try to do from on. Love the content guys!

So did they actually get texturing on the PCR/PUR this time? Because the EU videos look absolutely stunning, they look like the OCG version. But in all the NA opening videos you can barely tell. Idk if y'all just hold cards up to the light badly or what.

i picked up the exosisters and i like blue eyes/kaiba cards this set has a few cards i want regardless of rarity especially magnifica for exosister core since i only managed to get one

Those are bad sets, this one is fine it’s mid It has accesscode, the planets, droll, and ultimate slayer those were all expensive before this set Also it’s an all holo set. No commons and rares for bulk. I’m probably not going to buy sealed but I really don’t buy any sealed. The last sealed that I bought was RA01 and before that the last sealed was mp22 so I really stay away from sealed. Keep crying about it

Thank god man, right after rarity collection 1 set list came out, I sold about 75 percent of my cards. I saw there this was going and boy did I make the right choice. Konami absolutely tanked everyone’s binder and did their loyal players from the beginning so dirty with these sets. It’s disgusting.

I hate that they changed PSR because it was my favorite rarity for RA01 and no one wanted the PSR so I was able to get playsets of everything real cheap but this time no one is going to want to trade them to me now cause they're low key the best rarity😅

The initial issue with PSRs in RAO1 was that they were different from how they were printed in the OCG. RAO2 fixed this issue, tbh once the market got saturated with PSRs from RAO1 people started valuing those more than the regular secrets… PSR is a great rarity in both sets though!

RA01 was like a 9/10, this is a 4/10 at best. More cards per pack, but since its more expensive than RA01 and has significantly worse cards you're paying more money for more crap. Tons of time wizard reprints missing, cards that came off the banlist like Protos and Colossus, punishment dragon needs a reprint and they just made new lightsworns, kashtiras, tears, bystials, lubellion, branded fusion, literally who asked for exosister reprints lmao. I cancelled my preorder as soon as this set was released, and I bought like 5 boxes of RA01.

Dunno why people are complaining about this set, it has some good reprints that are going to make staples a lot more afforable.
