aka the greater manchester echo where its printed now
I’m a Londoner but my favourite places and people in the UK are in Merseyside.
Great place Liverpool in the 60
the bus that the people were getting off was either a Metro-Scania single-decker or its double-deck cousin, the Metopolitan and, as for the following scene with buses turning, that was filmed at Towerlands Street, no longer open to traffic.
Anyone remember Johnny Linus a sea going character who loomed large in the sea-faring community in Liverpool and New York In earlier days
For a friend, anyone have a photograph of the late Joseph Joey Piggott, passed away over 60 years ago, was a bus conductor for a while thank you 🙏🏻
Whether the faces are dark or not it makes no difference..!!
Not many dark faces back then. All very different now of course.
