Here is rare outtakes of Walt Disney reading a fan letter about Mickey Mouse with his secretary from 1937. There seems to be not much information about this footage which it’s unknown if it was shown publicly or privately. It’s also unknown what this footage was made for clearly there’s outtakes so it could be sourced from a news report, a documentary, or was made for a screening of a short film or a full film in general, who knows. Another thing that’s unknown is the name of the female secretary that is sitting with Walt in this footage, no sources of these outtakes ever mentions her name. This footage can be found on some stock footage sites but the Historic Films Archive upload seems more uncut compared to the other uploads of this footage online. Also this footage has aged well for better or worse given how the Walt Disney Company would later become for obvious reasons and how they would later represent their main mascot Mickey Mouse to the public decades later.
