Whitney was simply too beautiful. How incredible is it that the most incredible voice of all was contained within the most beautiful singer of all and yet she was always so humble about her beauty and never needed to emphasize it or shake her booty to call attention to it. Stunning woman on so many levels.

I believe the thing about Whitney is that she was very mature at a really young age. Her professionalism, down to her eloquence... that's why there was no need for her to show off any of her talents and wonderful character and yes, tremendous beauty

@@Meme-go9ts ....she is one of the ultimate manifestations of the baby boomer generation....we all knew we were not only representing ourselves...but the whole black race...and we carried ourselves accordingly.....there is no other way we wanted to be portrayed but at our best....she knew she had the world watching her...and she did not want to blow it....and she was so blessed to be able to do it...at the highest and deepest level....

Yes that was none other than Kirk Douglas honoring Whitney and early in the clip yes that’s right she is standing next to the great Lauren “Casablanca” Bacall. People just don’t realize how GREAT Whitney Houston was/is when they foolishly say anyone is as good or better. They have NO idea!

I know right?! She had it so good before she married him. Success at the highest degree. Awards, music, movies, money, people loved her, incredible talent and beauty. Everything and all under the age of 30. She was shining like crazy. That marriage should have never happened. I wish she married a successful and confident black man. Like Denzel Washington or someone like that. It's crazy how her marriage dimmed all of this light. Damn, some men ain't shit to have to lose all of it like this?

leon mack leon mack I Agree it was. Before Bobby she had this"GLOW" and it seemed like when she was with Bobby it was dimmed I guess to accommodate or share her light with him. A more confident and successful man in his own right with his own religious convictions would have been better for her as he would have let her shine and not try to take away her light.

He was at the HEIGHT of his solo career just around the same time when she burst onto the pop music scene! Just imagine all of the GREAT things they could've accomplished as a MARRIED TEAM?!! Gosh, we know what they did by themselves! Now just imagine what they could've done TOGETHER!! When they drifted APART during their careers, that was the WORST mistake for BOTH of them!!
