You mentioned 100 to 150 years, may be , as many can not identify due to many factors like not.much to compare and confirm with development in the infirmation technology. BUT MERE 50 YEARS IS TOO.MUCH FOR SO CALLED STYLE AND FASHION TO COMPLETE A CIRCLE. We have no record of what our grand parents wore some 75 years back., so 150 years means for a child today of 10 years, the photos show almost 10 generations back. Ancient is a relative term.People got married at less than 15 and had average 6 kids before the age by which a girl becomes a mother today.

Forget formal dress pattern even KIMONA YOU CAN SEE WORN TODAY IN Japan,but that is not todays dresses! In another few years, sarees may be seen only in festival season,and indications are already there in most cities today.How to wear saree is a subject on youtube many young girls of 35 watch. And I am more Indian than what you think. Average Bengali girl did not wear a Jean's till 1980s nor they wore salary kameez as a regular dress today.Even schools had SAREES as uniforms or. Pyjama kurta. Today short skirts are worn as school uniform and T.SHIRTS AND JEENS IS THE NATIONAL DRESS INFORMAL NOW A DAYS FOR BOTH GENDERS.
