The worst irony is that the yogurt is VEGAN but the antelope died from that person throwing it away.

There needs to be a rule of no outside food or they must be brought in reusable containers so that there’s no trash produced. No plastic wrappers, no single use water bottles with caps, no single use plastic straws, etc. If you don’t like the rules, you don’t care about animals, so go somewhere else.

So sad. This upsets me terribly and makes me furious. I sure wish they could be held accountable.

Generally kids eat those. Tbh a toddler probably chucked it and it went over before the parents could react. What’s the parent supposed to do at that point? Climb the enclosure? It really sucks this happened. But there’s more reasons this could have happened other than neglect or maliciousness. To prevent something like this they’d need to make a rule that people can’t walk around and eat snacks at the zoo. They would have to go to a designated eating area.

Kids throw stuff, and sadly sometkmes us moms may not notice. i can only hope this was a tragic accident and that the child tossed it when the mother wasn't looking and that this was not intentionally done. One could hope anyway.

No cameras at the zoo and no one is stepping forward doing the right thing! Not much of an investigation unless authorities find someone who actually filmed it. But where do they start? That’s the problem as I see it. All they got right now is that it was a vegetarian, or the son or daughter of a vegetarian.
