So, that whole 'peeing outside of the litterbox' probably wasn't from spite. She was likely overwhelmed, unconfident, and scared. Cats that feel those ways tend to exhibit inappropriate territorial behaviors. I'm glad you got her a place to live that was more suitable for her needs.

Yess I agree. For someone who works with animals so much im surprised she thinks that behaviour is "just regular evil cat behaviour". Because a lot of destructive behaviour cats do is actually out of fear or aggression. Including the hiding

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. Animals are not able to be 'mean'. She might have had trouble with her bladder, kidneys or maybe "just" behavioural problems because of bad environment and lack of socialisation with other animals. A cat behaviourist would tell her that.

My cat got diagnosed with a severe heart murmur and we think she's been having strokes, ive had her since I was 17 and being 30 now that means Roxie was with me during the most important hurdles and stepping stones of life, I also have a dog as well as a full time job meaning I can't be home with her as she ages and faces health problems and my dog seemed to be starting to stress her out and noticed Roxies condition worsening, it was a devastating decision to make but me and my Mom decided Roxie should live out the last of her life with Mom as Mom is retired and lives alone in her quiet peaceful home. I go over 1 minimum times a week to clean (my Mom is disabled) so I will still see Rox very often but it's that I can't shake the feeling that I abandoned her while she's sick and probably wants her owner more than ever It's only been 3 days since so I'm hoping as time goes on I'll be able to better come to terms with it

I had a similar situation happen with me, except I was the one receiving the cat. My step brother had a cat that was being abused by his kids who were toddlers. They were throwing toys at her, pulling on her tail, all the usual toddler shenanigans. And their mother, his ex, didn't really do much to stop them. It got to the point she started lashing out at them in self defense and she scratched the toddlers quite a few times. When she bit the younger one who hadn't even learned to walk yet, the ex wanted to have the cat euthanized. My step brother and step mother wasn't having it, since she gave the cat to my step brother as a Christmas gift as a kitten (she's 6 years old). So my step mother called me and asked if I could take her in since I live by myself and my other cats. I wasn't sure at first since she was really aggressive towards literally everybody. But I did agree to at least foster her for a bit and see if I could calm her down; if not, then I would find someone who could take care of her. It took a crap ton of scratches and a couple of bites, but now she's an absolute sweetheart. She still hisses and strikes me once in a while, but I chalk that up to her being a sassy one. I also think she might have some PTSD from the kids, but I'm able to handle these episodes very well.

@@Monika-mb6jh Not always. My niece and nephew were never like that with their cat when they were babies. It's because my sister made it clear to them that hurting the cat was not going to be tolerated. If she caught them being mean to the cat, she either swatted their hands or put them into timeout. The cat was put down last year because she was a really old cat. My sister had her since we were little kids, so it was hard for the both of us. But they have a new cat, and they are old enough to know how to treat cats well. Even when they came to visit me, they were always gentle around my cats. It ultimately depends on how much freedom parents give their kids regarding how they behave. My step brothers ex is one of those individuals who think her kids are perfect angels when they aren't. While my sister is the parent who won't tolerate bad behavior from the kids. She can get defensive if other people say bad things about the kids, but she doesn't shelter them either.

i know i am weird, but i am a woman who was born with absolutely zero mothering emotions toward human offspring, and an extreme amount of doting gaga devoted admiration for cats. if i had to choose between a kitten and a human baby in a blizzard i would go with the cat every time. realistically, that's not going to happen, and i have excellent protective instincts where children are concerned, you can't hurt or threaten a child around me, i become fierce and will intervene and call the cops, of course. i still can't understand why anyone would want a human child, though the little urchins adore me foe some reason. my neighbor leaves her 5 year old son's toys out on the ground and i told her we have black widow spiders here, and she did nothing. i found the biggest black widow i have ever seen in one of his favorite toys. i like to think most moms would have listened to me about deadly spiders.

I had a similar cat like this one once, white fur with ice blue eyes, though he had a much shorter coat. I'll never forget him. My parents went to a shelter and were looking for a female kitten, but after seeing him, they decided on him since he matched our dog (white lab) and he seemed to like them. I remember first seeing him on Christmas, and how he was so scared of his new environment he hid behind the couch for almost a month coming out only to use the litter box and eat. Eventually he started warming up, and overtime he became my best buddy. He would always hang at my feet or in my lap while I was on my computer and for some reason I still look back fondly at his bad habit of chewing up any plastic items he could find. He was extremely personable and I can only remember him hissing two times, and once it was at a string toy. Me and him were so close that he learned to open doors just so he could be with his people. When he died of stomach cancer, the same thing that killed my dog only a few months later, it broke me. I miss you buddy, and I look forward to our meeting again.

I had a white cat when I was young. She looked exactly like her mother (who belonged to my aunt). Same build, pure white coat, pink skin, and green eyes with a hint of gold. Mother cat had perfect hearing. Her daughter was born completely deaf. Eye color and albinism doesn't necessarily tell you if the cat will be deaf. The white coat tells you it's possible. From there, you just have to pay close attention and experiment to find out how that genetic coin flip went.

My roommate used to have an albino cat. Absolutely gorgeous but an absolute Chad as well. When he would go outside, he would never leave the yard and would throw down with any neighborhood cats that got too close to the yard. Little dude was all action and no posturing whatsoever. He would just go straight for a cat without any warning. He even tried going after a raccoon that got too close to the yard one night. Thankfully, I was able to grab him.

The first sister, Luna was very social and didn’t mind sitting with the dogs, but her sister Lilo would always get chased or barked at by the dogs. She would spend all day hiding and only come out when I was home as we had built a strong bond. Loud noises and sudden movements scared her. When I moved out and took the cats with me I noticed Lilo open up a lot more with other people and she is much happier!

She was born with a genetic mutation and the claws on her front paws couldn't retract. She was suffering. She refused to climb up on anything, and she wouldn't use a cat playhouse or most toys. Her claws would get caught in the carpet, her bed, towels from the bathroom, the shower curtain, and once I found her dragging around her scrunch toy due to it being caught on her claw. She even struggled to cover her poop because no matter what litter we tried it just seemed to hurt her. No matter how much or little we clipped them, it was painful for her, and we visited three different vets before deciding to help her using laser declawing. She now climbs, jumps, plays tug of war, speeds through the house, and never do I find her dragging anything around the house or fussing. She's thriving! I simply refused to force my cat to suffer because of random folks on the internet who are obsessed with the issue of declawing and don't actually consider the individual animals needs. I consulted professionals. You can go on and call me evil. But my cat is pain free and healthy and happy, and that's what I care about. To make it clear, I don't think declawing cats normally is great, but if the cat has health problems relating to the issue you absolutely should not turn a blind eye to it. I apologize for my rudeness but truly I feel it needs to be said that there are exceptions to nearly every rule.

@@ticklemebreathless1394 I'm pretty sure this person is talking about declawing cats for no reason or/and over small things that don't really do anything like damaging items. Not your situation. Lots of people declaw HEALTHY cats for no reason. Declawing a healthy cat causes many problems. Your situation isn't what they're talking about.

1:18 - THANK YOU! I had a pure white cat with blue eyes (short hair) growing up. We called him "Notme" (after the family circus ghost). I know he could hear and people said I was lying. "Ok, explain how he'd run from a completely different room when we ran the can opener?" "Easy, vibrations!" "ok, then how did he know to come in from outside when we called his name and he was no where in sight?" "You just couldn't see him" *hand flailing* "but he'd come from the other side of the house!!!" That cat could hear and I still miss him. He was absolutely the sweetest cat.

After struggling for years to brush my cat, I finally got the Eqigroomer after seeing how well it worked on your videos. Baghura, who has always avidly abhorred being brushed, but has to be to keep away the evil matts, literally just sits there when I use the Eqigroomer on him.

Willow J Wolfe I must get an Eqigroomer. I have two cats, one long hair who hates brushing but gets matted very easily. This sounds like something I could at least try..

It breaks my heart that you had to rehome her. But I can see that it was best for everyone, and she appears to be thriving. She’s such a beautiful cat. Even tho she doesn’t like all of the groom, I can tell how much she loves you.

We had a cat that looked very similar to yours. She had beautiful blue eyes and pink nose, lips and paw pads. When she sat in front of the storm door, she sparkled and glowed. Mollie could hear as well. She had one black hair on her fore head and her skin, when wet was black and white spotted. She was exceptionally pretty and very sweet natured.

What a beauty! I’m glad you got to give some love to Matcha again. I don’t know if I could give her up after 7 years.

I have a cat that was born without eyes. Watching you trim Macha's bach hairs reminded me of mine's absolute disdain for anything touching below her tail. She's super sweet and affectionate until it comes to absolutely any grooming of her behind. Her hisses are these super soft barely audible puffs of air but she makes up for it with a loud warning growl.

Such a truly gorgeous kitty! Thinking back, I don't think I can remember any of the cats you've groomed not liking the blow-dryer. Most of them have looked like they enjoyed it :)

"All I have to do is wave a bag of Temptations" Gee, my cats also pass the same hearing test. Heck, they can also hear me take down one of their favorite toys as well. Makes me wonder how good their hearing really is.
