I am very amazed how Former Senator Trillanes analyzes the political situation in the country. Realizing what is happening now, he was dead right about almost all of the issues. Kudos to him. I would vote for him.

Objective inquiries and objective responses

Duterte is still the principal of Diokno. The Duterte pushed him to double the salaries and pensions of MUP and obeyed without thinking and he was rewarded the BSP job because of that. Diokno even boasted in Malacanang that the mandated contribution of MUP to their salaries and pension is game changing. Now, he is sacrificing the loyalty of the military to BBM by taking away from MUP the benefits that Diokno himself implemented as DBM Secretary of Duterte. He is also responsible for deficit spending beyond its limit and the result is trillion of foreign debts to be paid by present & future generations of Filipino taxpayers.

Bakit kasi ang military at kapulisan at retired personel ,hindi lang nila alam na puro loan na ang manga sundalo kulang pa nga lalo na ngayon 66 na ako sinong tatangap ng trabaho para sa akin ,buong buhay ko inilaan ko ang buhay ko sa military ,hindi ko na enjoy ang kabataan ko ,56 ang edad ko at 34 yrs in the svc saka noon ang liit ng sweldo nmin pero minahal parin nmin ang serbisyo ,noong araw na nasa jolo ako sa loob ng isang taon 15 day mo lang makakasama ang pamilya mo 24 hrs ang duty nmin mahirap dina lang ako magkwento tunkol sa naranasan ko sa jolo noong araw halos 10 yrs ako naasign sa jolo mahirap napakahirap nawala na lang ang takot ko nasanay na ako sa gulo pero no choise iniisip ko parin ang pagaaral ng manga anak ko ,tapos ngayon babawasan niyo pensyon namin magisip naman kayo , preseden t marcos huag kang pumayag masisira ka sa manga uniform personel.

Bawasan ng kalahati ang sahod ng mga politiko,....kaya marami ang nag interes dyan kz nga ang laki ng kita.....ng makinabang ang mga mas maraming mamayan be blessed

Unfunded Liabilities: so ur saying that majority of the funds allocated to the pension of the retirees were borrowed by the government and not from the revenues generated by govt in the forrm of taxes? Remember only 1% of annual appropriation goes to the pension of the retirees.

No! There is such thing, British military contributes 0% in pension scheme, and it is noncontributory. their pension is fully shouldered by the public purse. the rationale behind is because of their sacrifice they provided for the country.

There's a need to create the Office of the Pensioners and Retirees Affairs (OPRA) under the Office of the President. This will solve the bloated budget of the AFP.

How is it possible that Sec Diokno did not seem to have consultations with military and uniformed personnel and retired AFP? It's not good news! My father was Air Force and I met a lot of his military friends. He would be turning in his grave knowing what's happening with regard to pension reform discussions!

Future beneficiaries from the pension system should start paying premiums just like other government workers [as in the case of GSI] and private sector workers [Social Security System]. That’s how pension systems work and financed anywhere in the world.

It's the duty of the state to provide funds for its pensioners and retirees. Monthly deductions for new entrants is ok but not the stopping of the Indexation and revising the pensionable age since it's mandated by law based on the Republic Acts and Presidential Decrees.
