Sleep Token are blowing up. They've went from playing dingy clubs a couple of years ago to selling out Wembley Arena earlier this year. Love their style and glad they're now getting recognition.

Take Me Back To Eden is a play on "Ignorance is bliss". There's a lot of context missing because this is the second to last song in a trilogy of albums. He had a relationship that ended and this song is him coping and trying to return to that "ignorance" he had before it spoiled. No one really knows how to get through that kinda stuff until they go through it themselves. "But no one told you where to go...". When he says "We dive through crystal waters, perfect oceans, but no one told me not to breathe, and now the weightlessness recedes" I think that's more of like, our memories of the past the past always seem so perfect. We always cling onto those perfect moments after a bad breakup and him "breathing" is him realizing his reality and he begins to drown again. "I'm a winged insect, you're a funeral pyre" Like a moth to a flame, he was so attracted to something that was killing him. Him biting through wires is him telling himself to disconnect because its keeping him in a waking hell. The rap part is like a "welcome to reality" moment where he begins to heal. The next section is him coming to terms with everything. Just because you want something so bad doesn't mean it'll happen and he's finally fighting back against his own thoughts. Self-sought fury will never bring back the glory of innocence because it will only keep you angry. Through progress, we almost become hostile toward ourselves and say "hey dumbass, you've gone way too far and now your eyes are open. Let's get back to our bliss". and thats the outro. Thats my interpretation and how I connected with this song anyway! Always love the videos, my guys!

Hollywood felt this song on a whole deeper level. I think this song was perfectly summed up with the one bar: "No amount of self-sought fury, will bring back the glory of innocence."

Sleep Token have managed to blend so many genres so effortlessly that they have achieved a genre-less state. You cannot call them any one thing. I am seeing (and hoping) more music (and in a broader sense, all art) heading to this place that cannot be classified/limited to one genre.

The meme concerning this goes as follows: Question: What genre is Sleep Token? Answer: Yes.

For me, there are many sub genres of progressive. Prog rock, prog metal, symphonic metal, etc. This helps classify the time periods for me. Since prog is always looking forward, prog is a genre of music that never dies, just morphs into the next version.

They’re so good, it’s criminal. Off the new album, I highly recommend Ascensionism, Rain and Euclid. My favorite is off the first album, though, which is titled Higher. Enjoy!

Great reaction guys. One thing I love about Sleep Token reactions is the open to interpretation nature of the music. While there is a overarching theme across all songs and albums, they've written everything in a way that people can take away something from every song. This song in particular I love watching reactions to because that fucking dirty breakdown to end shocks people and usually brings the song down a notch for them. However, with how I view the song that ending is the perfect culmination for it. Imagine you're in Eden, whether literal or just the perfect situation for yourself, and you lose that. You beg, plead, rationalize and try everything to get back to it. What's left if you're no longer able to go back to it? Anger. Pure unfiltered rage.

Sleep Token is definitely a journey brothas. They have been on my list for a while and im glad to see them getting more recognition. A few of my favorites by them are Bloodsport and The Apparition.

Oh it paid to stay up until midnight!! I was chilling at the lagoons with the kids yesterday jamming to this song on my JBL charger - low key next to me- not blaring but close to the waterline- Then I hear some tourist on a hot pink float “turn Vessel up yo” - I live in Hawaii I turn it up and some Japanese guy like 30 yards over told me to just start the whole album over once Eden was done- I didn’t know he was over there jammin too! This whole album is low key vibes on the beach with some moments of turn that shot up!

Biggest band of the year is Sleep Token. They just blend genres like no band I've heard before. If you were gonna recommend 1 song for someone who has never heard them before, this is the one to give them the full "Sleep Token experience". At the end of the song, he has a callback to their opening track "Chokehold" when he says "It was no accident". These guys are something special. Great reaction bros!

Oh- and this is the song I MOST want to see live The roller coaster of tones and feelings- low body sways- lighters (yeah I hate phones at concerts) the crowd singing then flow lines and the break. Your x neck zone and then sway then thrash and kick mash with some mud on my chucks- it’s just the best up and down rollercoaster

I look forward to the day Vessel finally does an interview and we all discover he is a psychologist / therapist trained in music. It would explain everything!! Unreal how great this band is and how top tier your review is!! Bravo!!

I'd believe it. One of the things my therapist tells me when I get too wound up in my anxiety and issues it to go take my dog out and stand out there barefoot. She didn't have to tell my hippy-ish/farm kid butt twice. I used to live without shoes whenever I could get away with it. I still try to get away with it when I can. 🤣

I love it! I would love to see Ascensionism and Euclid from this album too. If you ever get the chance to sit down and listen to the whole album, in order, you should. That's a great experience.

Hell yea, I finally decided to give Sleep Token a listen with this video and I’m glad I did. I’m usually weary of new music that gets huge because usually I’m not a fan of it. But every once and awhile I can see why they blew up. This song is great🤘🏼
