He is definitely flexing but not without a message. I don’t think Ren ever chooses words just for the sake of more words. That being said he definitely also has a sense of humour and can have fun with music without always getting super deep. Losing It (retake) is a great example of that. Anyway The Hunger is fire 🔥 so thanks for reacting to it 🕳️ 🐇

Thanks for the reaction, there is so much word play in this song along with the flow changes and rhyme schemes. I still finding stuff i missed after several months of listening to this song..... Like " Belter like a welter weight (your strongest rhyme ranks just above light weight) helter-skelter (describes how you feel hearing Ren; disorder and confusion) need Alka-Seltzer Alpha, Beta, Delta ( you need some meds for your stomach [Alpha, Beta, Delta = ABD=abdomen] after you hear him)... crazy lyrics

I love how in this section he manages to keep the weed metaphor going. You smoke your weed from a bowl, and you grind up weed. Hell, you could argue the idea continues when he mentions bubbles later on, though I feel that's less likely. I get the feeling Ren's not a bong guy. "And my style is homegrown like growing cali weed Don't need no personal trainer, I got trainers on my feet (Ay!) You know I got the soul in my bowl when I eat You know I'm staying grounded when I grind up my beef"

He’s showing what he can do with this. I don’t think you need to look to much into it, other than looking at the actual words. That’s why he always pins them. It’s just very good. I definitely prefer that it’s not just spouting words which have no link for the sake of making a song. If we don’t always know the link straight away, I feel challenged to find one. REN’s music isn’t easy listening. ‘I teach over beats’ he’s educating us/me. Don’t ignore the fact that you/we don’t know. Find out.

This was the most underwhlemed and, this underwhelming reaction. Sorry. The song is about the song, and the ability it is exhibiting, the influences that brought it about, the motives etc. Dude, that youe jaw didn't drop at a few of the bars.... "Kiddie with a black heart in a car by Primark, jamming Django Reinhart, living like a rock star refine rap to a fine art, making my mark like Frankie Sinatra... The flow and dynamics and the melody he infuses the whole sang with. As a musician, I see him fusing what can make rap great with what makesusic great and ifs ......well, fucking great. The way he paints puctures and weaves in metafor and multiple meanings....dude, it is SO spphisticated.. It seems like you heard a different song than you played.

Yeah, this has to be my least favorite reaction of the 20+ other reactions I've seen. You pinned it: underwhelmed & underwhelming. No hate to the person reacting...it just added absolutely nothing for me personally. I watch reactions to see people express the excitement that I felt the first time I heard any given song. I absolutely don't mind lyric and technical breakdowns, so it's not even that. I adore Knox & others like him who really break it all down to the nth degree. The difference, I think, is that 1. Knox catches so much so quickly & yeah, he pauses a lot & goes off on rants, but they add something & to me, and he catches SO MUCH in between pauses that is totally just brushed over here. 2. This reaction spent a lot of time pausing every few seconds only to blandly restate what Ren said, struggling to put meaning behind some of it, not once touching on the double entendres, the brilliance of some of the lyrics, the technical difficulty & insanity of the one-take, no break vid. I see him getting some hate that he doesn't really deserve because I think a few people misunderstood some of the things he said as meaning that Ren used a bunch of filler, which I don't think he actually said, so again, no hate from me. Just a critique of the reaction in that it felt like less of a reaction or even a breakdown and more of a bland, extremely vague commentary that, for me, added nothing beyond a surface level. IMO, if you're gonna pause it so often, you really should be able to break it down on a much deeper level and provide an actual reaction along with the breakdown. So, yeah, this is a thumbs down for me personally, but not with malice or insult...just I personally walked away with nothing that I didn't come in with and was left feeling like there was no sense of wonder that I've seen from even industry tycoons and prominent figures in the hip-hop/rap/music scene. This song got more love from a guy who literally came into the reaction saying that nothing could impress him because he has produced beats for artists like Tech 9 & has been backstage with artists that are common household names. I'm more befuddled by the lack of reaction to meaningful here than anything.

The hell are you talking about? Where ever have I said anything but how much this guy is incredibly skilled, and how contrary to what you’re saying, his faster flows actually means something then how a lot of people do when they’re wrapping quickly. I don’t have to like every stylistic choice of his while also at the same time saying that he’s incredibly skilled. I think that’s the part you’re not understanding.
