Ren explained on his twitch stream the entire thing was recorded live, and only had 1 cut (towards the end when the camera shows the back of the wheelchair). The Mic was hidden and disguised as a lapel to begin. When they did the only cut with the back of the wheelchair they hid the microphone inside of his neck tie. They had to move it because Ren takes off his jacket at one point and for the water scene they needed to protect the mic more so they hid it in his neck tie with plastic water protection.

He said that he was trying to blur the lines between music and film. THAT he did. This amazing MASTERPIECE hit 1 MILLION VIEWS in just 3 days. I would highly recommend Lost All Faith. It's one of his best.

This shit was crazy. No unpacking bars or complex rhyme schemes, just fantastic musicianship, cinematography and story telling. He could do a Broadway play with all his money game schemes.

My sibling was a career professional ballerina and choreographer, she's now a worldwide examiner for royal academy of dance and the thought it had some really interesting techniques to somehow manage this with the music live and lyrics and emotions and intensity with such precise timing. There's a reason few ballet concerts have live musicians/ orchestra, the music is slightly variable and the skill level required increases exponentially. And to conduct and participate in the 15 days of the actual Money Game ARG with that insane ending was beyond anything I've ever seen. Plays out the Seven deadly sins we researched and riddled through in that massive trial of collective action. Fucking good art

I've been waiting for this!!!! Congrats on dropping your (awesome) songs! It's all live (including the piano player who has a headphone to hear Ren as he travels across the room) and one take up until shortly before the water drop. They only had a few days in the space and could only do the water drop take *once*. You should absolutely check out 1 and 2, though, just so you get all the references :) It also has an allusion to Violet's Tale.

Ren is unbelievable, he is far the best artist I've ever encountered. I've bee. Listening to rap since 1979. He has changed the entire music industry by himself. There is nobody like him in History and there will never be anyone that even compares to him.

Ren is something very special. He deserves all the success he is getting and he is more interested in inspiring change in the world. A beautiful human being and a creative genius.

His album charted at number 1! Amazing when you consider he's not signed to a label & didn't do any promotion or gigs. It all came from his KZread profile & guys like you spreading the word.

Great reaction! 😊 You should definitely do MG1 and 2 and then watch this one again after bc you'll realise a few more things after watching the 1st that Ren has snuck into this one. Like the relevance of the mirror, the sacks, the rain and his last words.Worth it. If you do react to them just make sure you watch the lyric video for MG2 not the live as it's more impactful and complete. The live misses some verses.

Theatrically, I love how he delivers the poetic verse about humans not surviving without this story and then, sits back into his chair, as if he's accepted it. Ren is pure story line gold. It is absolutely impressive.

That's what is so great about Ren, he inspires us to try harder, to think, and to breathe. The bar is rising in the underground because of it. Although it will take a little while for the rest of us to figure out how to put our own twist on the things Ren is doing so that we aren't just copying. Because of the nature of Ren's message and how it speaks to those of a higher aspiration, we know the last thing we want to do is, simply to bite his style and techniques. We all understand that we have to absorb them and reconfigure them so that we create something new.

That rain at the end means SO much more when you've seen the first two. ❤

There's clearly a cut when he takes the bag off his head. There could also easily be a cut when a camera spins after the piano intro.

​@@TjMoon91According to Ren and the Videographer Sam, the only cut was the wheelchair due to the rain. Theres a behind the scenes video coming out within the next couple weeks that's 40 mins long so I'm sure that'll touch on different takes and where they had to start from each time!

@@TjMoon91 In the money game 3 livestream he said '1 cut and all the audio is live' and when asked how many takes he said 'for the end scene about 9 or 10 and for the start scene about 17 or 18' but he said he doesnt know the exact amount. (Taken from the money game 3 livestream which u can watch on his second channel RenMakesStuff, the song starts at 44:40) he watched it again on a different stream and went into detail on the mics used (dont remember exactly the make). He said both the pianist (named Charlie) and him had the best lavalier mic on the market, there were microphones all around the warehouse and a mic on the camera. Then through MANY hours of mixing combined them all to make as high quality audio as possible.

I'd watch literally every single Ren reaction vid you'd do. You have a great way of catching all the details and highlighting them and with his music being so nuanced. Yeah. I'd love it.

There was only one cut in this video and that was when they panned around the back of the wheel chair. This 1st part of the video required around 8 takes before they got the perfect shot from start to finish. I watched the twitch stream of Ren & the interview with Knox Hill; plus the interview with Knox & Samuel, Ren's videographer. Sam said they placed the cut when they panned around the wheel chair because they needed to set up the string quartet properly because the ending needed to be a true one take. Sam explained that the rain machine they constructed would soke Ren & the set, Ren laughed saying he only had one suit and once everything was wet they were done. In fact they ended up paying the violinist on the left extra money because she had to replace her bow, it got wet and was ruined. They rehearsed the ending with the strings & gun monolog approximately 18 times, before feeling comfortable enough to actually shoot the final scene, making that a genuine ONE SHOT & ONE TAKE ..

For the rain scene, they also had to move the expensive mic from Ren’s lapel into the knot of his tie (in a waterproof case).

This video had one cut, where the camera pans behind the wheelchair, so they could move thr lacv mic from his jacket to his tie and cover it so the rain didn’t affect it. Rens whole message is that we need to unify as a species, quit putting wealth before each other. We have billion aires sitting on mountains of wealth, when children in countries are starving to death of dying from diseases that cost pennies to vaccinate against. Ren wants world harmony. You cant react to this with out listening to Money Game 1&2 dude, there are "Easter eggs" so to speak in this one that will make sense. Yes, it is live. I like Crypt but alot of his channel is reacting to this stuff I feel like he should have done his homework so he could pick up on this stuff and do it justice instead of basically just saying its good the whole video. I guess its not supposed to be a review its a reaction I just feel like he added very little of substance you know? As a casual enjoyer of Ren even I picked up on way more stuff than he did. It breaks my heart a little that Crypt could'nt appreciate the rain thing or subtle uses of the OG money games chorus and such.

You really should have watched the first 2 parts of this first, but now you’re gonna have to watch them and rewatch this one. It all ties together very well.

There are levels of creativity in the world, or rather levels within context of some type of work or art. I am very good at Excel, data modelling and analysis. I suck at trying to rap anything. Hell I spent 5 years with a speech therapist to learn how to pronounce S instead of TH. Love your reaction Crypt; and you are a much better musician than me.
