I disagree. Almost everything she said was calling him a bad person. But he isnt. It's just the drama focused American shows that portray him that way. Even then, if you pay attention to the American shows, you can tell that they dramatize everything. Just watch the British shows where Ramsey has more control over production. He's only a dick to those that deserve it. Hell's kitchen being one of the harshest. All the contestants on Hells kitchen are real cooks and chefs. They work in the industry and should already know better. He yells because they make rookie mistakes, often times potentially lethal mistakes like serving raw chicken. People go to a restaurant expecting professionally prepared food

I do find it amusing that Gordon says "I'm a culinary innovator" while his signature dish, the Beef Wellington, is NOT his creation. At least Julia's whole thing was not she was a creator, she was a more an emissary, bringing French cuisine to the non-French markets. No one breaks it down better than you. ❤️ BTW, Charcuterie is a French term for a branch of cooking devoted to meat products, such as bacon, ham, sausage, terrines, galantines, ballotines, pâtés, and confit, primarily from pork. Most usually, presented in restaurants on a board. Yum. An amuse Boucher is literally a bite size appetizer. Bouillabaisse is a fish stew. Julia won that one hands down. She was a badass.

There's a movie called Julie and Julia (2009) where a woman spends an extended period of time to create a every single one of Julia Childs's recipes (524) from her book. Julia Childs joined the OSS (Office of Strategic Services) for the United States during WW2, after finding out she was too tall (at 6'2") to enlist with the WAC (women's army corps) or the Navy's WAVES. Ultimately she was asked to solve a problem of curious sharks setting off underwater explosives, and her solution was ”experimenting with cooking various concoctions" as shark repellents.

Ameteur cooks ( celebrities) challenged to pick a dish and go head to head with Gordon making a version. Gets voted on blindly to derermine a winner. Think beat Bobby Flay but there is only 1 contestant. They choose the dish ahead of time. Gordon is not told what they'll prepare until filming starts. But no doubt the ingedients prepared for the show ahead of time so Gordon has a chance.
