RAPD (Random Amplification of Polymorphism DNA) | Basics in Hindi

This lecture is about RAPD (Rapid Amplified Polymorphic DNA) Technique, Basic RAPD Principle and Applications in Hindi.
RAPD is a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technique in which a random primer of greater than 10 nucleotides is used as a template to generate DNA fragments which are then separated by gel electrophoresis.
This video has two more related topics: RFLP and AFLP Techniques. Below are the links:

    Ma'am can u pls clear a doubt of mine. Why is it necessary for the 3'end of the primers on both the strands to face each other in RAPD?

  • @rapist_Muhammad
    @rapist_Muhammad4 жыл бұрын

    Good explanation ma'am but I've a doubt. For pcr to work and primers to bind we need ssDNA. When the process starts there should be an end point, but here because the dna is very long and there is no particular marker to stop, process must carry on till the end of the sequence of that genome. In short, I think that the dna must be fragmented first and then run on pcr, but you've not mentioned it. Please clear this.... Good and clear explanation though👏
