I was born in 1944 and have seen many fashion trends come and go and come again. Diana’s dress was ridiculous looking. It looked as if it had been designed by someone who hated her.

Diana was so shy and beautiful She could have worn a dress from Walmart and the people would still have adored her. She loved the people and I think she looked as lovely as Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth did all those years ago. God Bless the Queen. To this day, she's beautiful Everytime she Is presented anywhere. I actually liked Diana’s dress, it wasnt horrendous , just for today kind of weird to look at. I loved the subtle sparkles Megan’s was kind of basic to me

I liked her dress, but she kept wearing other dresses to other events that had the same wide neckline. Because she kept wearing the same silhouette, it kind of “cheapened” it and made it more “everyday”.

- I liked it too and watched her wedding on TV and loved the contrast of the rather pared-down dress with the glam tiara. Princess Anne’s neckline was known, in those days, as a ‘funnel neckline’ not a turtleneck.

Except she will be queen. Right now, she is referred to as Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge. When Charles ascends the throne, she will be referred to as Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales Once William ascends, she will be Her Majesty The Queen. Gogo Right Yes that’s right. For some reason it doesn’t work that way. I believe it works that the Queen’s husband will not be referred to as King but a King’s wife will be Queen (consort). I think it’s an old rule but it’s still in place as that’s just how it’s always been.

I loved it. I have never seen another wedding dress anywhere I liked more.

Both of Princess Ann's wedding dresses were a statement piece. She wanted to wear the traditional military suit but because she is a woman had to wear a dress. If you look closely at the neckline of the first dress, it has a pearl epaulet design just like those worn on military uniforms. The neckline is just as high as the military uniform collar.

Her dress was ultra 70s. I was a child at the time and so many wedding dresses of the period had high necks, mediaeval influence and an almost sculptural quality

@@theoriginalsuzycat Yes. I like mediaeval fashion and that is exactly what Anne's dress reflected. I think it was lovely and it fit her body. It definitely stands out from all the other's because it resembled something from so far back. I could envision her with the tall pointed hat and long scarf draped from the tip, like you see in mediaeval and gothic portraits. She should have worn the head gear too. If you are going to make people talk, then go all out and really give them something to talk about.

I’ve seen the queen and Diana’s wedding dress.The queens dress was amazing,the intricate work was purely a work of art.

I love Princess Anne’s first wedding dress. Such a cool 70’s interpretation of Tudor style. And Dianas is epic. It’s insane to me you put it at the bottom of the list. It was inspired by many things but mostly by Marie Antoinettes chemise a la reine. So beautiful.

She was not an angel. She had affairs with 3 married men and caused their wives a lot of grief. She also humiliated her sons by giving an interview and writing a book about the affairs she and Charles were having. She even publicly told the story that her marriage was over on the day Harry was born because Charles had wanted a girl, and was disappointed that he got another son and was disappointed that Harry had red hair which is a Spencer family trait. Those are horrible things for your children to know. Diana loved stirring up drama.

Princess Diana's wedding dress was beautiful for that era,st Paul's cathedral was chosen because it could hold more people then Westminster Abbey,so Diana's dress needed to be lavish and memorable, and when I watched the wedding it was beautiful, I'm glad I got to see the dress twice and now over 40years later we get the chance to see it again at Kensington palace.👸❤️❤️

I think I'm one of the few people who actually liked Camilla's dress. I thought it was classy, and I especially loved the hat. IMHO Kate's dress was flawless - lady-like, but modern.

I liked Camilla's dress and it has to be borne in mind that Camilla wasn't a young woman and so it would have to be a totally different style compared to the others who were all young. Her outfit was perfect for her and very elegant. Of all the Royal weddings I enjoyed Prince Charles and Camilla's the most because their relationship has stood the test of time and they deserved to be together after all they had been through in their previous marriages. Camilla has become one of my favourite Royals.

I thought Camilla looked amazing & was an appropriate choice. Diana's was unfortunately so creased it totally ruined the look, I also remember thinking that her hair hadn't been done. Meghan's was simple but just didn't fit properly. My favourites Catherine & Sarah F (l know controversial!!)

Diana's & Kate's dresses were the best and these two princess always have elegance. Their beauty is out of the world.

Diana was a lovely young woman whose attractiveness was overpowered by too much dress. She was drowning in ruffles & puffiness & seas of fabric. The dress wore her.

Princess Diana's wedding dress was STUNNING in the time period it was from..her dress was so beautiful that it made countless headlines & it most definitely was gawked over by the public.

Catherine's dress was definitely the best! The lace is so regal and romantic, and Kate's the epitome of the modern princess bride. Now Princess Eugenie is a close second followed by Princess Margaret and Queen Elizabeth.

I think the best are Kate’s dress and Eugenie’s dress. I definitely love them! 😍

Princess Anne’s dress was also nice.

Crown Princess Mary of Denmark, her dress was absolutely stunning. Her bouquet paid homage to her native Australia.

Agree, Grace Kelly's wedding dress was/is up there with the best, better than Queen Elizabeth's, better than Kate's. What Meghan wore suited her perfectly, her wedding dress would not have suited Kate because they have different shoulders. The breast part on Kate's dress wasn't very flattering either.

The Queens looked like what you would expect a Princess and future Queen to wear. A lot of jewels and lace. The skirt was not puffy it was full, but sleek. My mother was married in the 50's and that was how her dress was; fitted at the body and the skirt hanging down heavy and sleek made of satin and trimmed in lace. The veil was the train and the headdress was a tiara made of fabric and flowers instead of metal and stones. I think the 40's and 50's had very flattering styles. Women wore a lot of suites but of a very feminine, tailored design. The later 50's started bringing in the gathered skirts; but my mother never wore that. She always wore the A-line and what we call the pencil skirts, with fitted blouses. I do not think Megan's was ugly, I just did not think if fit her body well. It looked big on her and there was a lack of embellishment. And the fact that she was divorced kind of made the white dress a joke. Camilla dressed very appropriately (and to express that I am not prejudiced against Megan with my comments, I really do not like Camilla). Camilla is divorced and her dress did not make a mockery of wedding tradition. The color was flattering to her and I disagree about the hat, I thought it was lovely. She did not don a tiara, which I though was tasteful, so the hat drew attention and it looked lovely with her hair style. She also kept her jewelry minimal, as did Megan. That was tasteful. But isn't it amazing how much clothing is part of our culture? We can not help ourselves, we always make judgement on what people wear.

Who else knew that Kate’s dress would be number 1

Catherine's dress will always be my favourite, but I love the Queen's dress too

Sarah looked more beautiful than Kate. Sarah's dress outclassed Kates copy cat grace kelly dress.. too much lace....

I loved Princess Margaret, Princess Ann, Sarah Ferguson’s and Kate Middleton wedding dresses !

Kate's dress was designed by a girl who attended the same school as me, not in my year, but still I feel proud, as it was lovely!

Princess catharine Authentic beauty!

I love the wedding dress of Duchess Kate... very elegant..no ruffles or whatsoever.. simple and yet lovely

Everyone is entitle to their own opinion. I think each bride picked a dress that made them feel special on their wedding day. Both Diana and Kate are truly bless with beauty and sincerity, the wins the hearts of the British people.

pentirah5 I'm aware of that, I just feel bad Diana married a man who didn't cherish her. I don't hate Prince Charles or Camilla though.

Kate’s dress was gorgeous but Princess Diana’s wasn’t the worst! Princess Diana’s dress was beautiful and unique

I have to say, my favorite was Princess Eugenie's. The lace and sleeves were simple but elegant, and the neckline was to die for. And I loved the pop of color given by her tiara.

Love Catherine dress, truly majestic appearance and she made the dress look so stunning ❤❤❤

I wasn't impressed by Meghan's dress at first, but its grown on me and I appreciate her simplicity. The dress reminds me of Audrey Hepburn, Givenchy's muse. I think she looked radiant and angelic. But there's no denying, her reception dress, now that's a dress!

maeflower522 - I completely agree. When I first saw it, I didn't think it was ugly, but I thought "that's it?" I guess when I first saw it I was expecting it to blow me away with style and trendiness. But the more I look at it, the more I like it. The fact that it was so simple makes it look all the more elegant. I think it will stand the test of time very well.

Same here. But her reception gown, though beautiful, showed too much skin for a royal wedding dress. It would have been seen as crude to them. Kinda like gow we see to much cleavage as vulgar.

I bet that tiara on Margaret's head was heavy. I wonder if she got a headache from it, or if it made her neck hurt? I wonder if she had to be careful not to turn her head too quickly? Metal and stones are heavy. I know heavily beaded gowns are heavy to wear. You feel the weight pull you down. I expect Elizabeth II's dress was heavy.

Diana's dress had a message! She was going to be a " fairy tale" princess, so the dress was designed to show that! It was a humorous approach to Diana's transformation. It was the best!!!

I always knew from the beginning of the video that Kate's dress is the best from all 😍

Oh I loved Anne’s wedding gown the sleeves were awesome!!!

I still miss Princess Diana even after all these years. She was a sweetheart and I still weep for her. She was the most beautiful bride.

My favorite was Kate's dress.

Each dress matches with time and respective bride, so they are all beautiful!

Hated Markles dress. It didn't fit her right. Kate's dress was absolutely beautiful and timeless.

Diana's dress was in the 80's and magnificent in its day. Katherine dress was stunning. The only nice thing I can say about Megan's dress was the veil was lovely.

Meghan Markle's dress never made it to the finish line. Not quite fitted correctly and plain as a tablecloth. A little tweeking and she may have passed. Diana's looked too big on her. Kate....perfection.

Eileen Phillips Let me guess, tighter fit, a bit more skin, lace? It wad beautiful. The structre, the cut, the minimalism that gave it a timeless look. Don't compare it to overly glammed dresses.

Fergie’s dress is pretty nice for an 80s wedding.

Kate was class pure class

I loved HRH Catherine's and HRH Princess Diana's, which was a gown right off the pages of a Barbara Cortland romance novel!

Kate’s was my favourite, hands-down.

Princess Diana's dress was certainly the most memorable. They're all nice, no point in having them in some sort of competition.

I think it's really important to keep in mind that Diana's dress was the height of fashion in the eighties. It unfortunately was wrinkled, supposedly due to not fixing it after she rode to the ceremony IIRC. It is fair to say that the dress did not age well. I don't blame anyone for not imitating it today. But back in the eighties, it was every bride's dream.

Diana’s wore the most beautiful dress...the most glamorous woman of all time..,no one can come close to her

Diana’s and Sarah’s dresses are very much of their time but nonetheless anyone who has seen them in person will tell you that they are stunning. Princess Anne’s wedding dress is fantastic. It has incredible embroidery on the silk train which doesn’t show up in photos but it is very fitting for a real Princess. My favourites are: 1. The Duchess of Cambridge. 2. Princess Eugenie of York. 3. Princess Anne 4. The Queen (then Princess Elizabeth). 5. Lady Diana Spencer. 6. Sarah Ferguson. 7. Princess Margaret. 8. Queen Victoria. 9. Lady Sarah Armstrong-Jones (Princess Margaret’s daughter). 10. Princess Alexandra of Kent and her sister-in-Katherine Worsley.
