Hey i just want you to see this comment for when you do season 7. Especifically for Sanji VS Rock Lee, you see many people complain Rock Lee is extremely out of character at the beggining. but according to some people i know who are massive One Piece fans, Sanji is also out of character and seriously flanderized, the thing that irks him is not people insulting food, it's also people DISRESPECTING food AKA throwing away or wasting food which might come from how (Spoilers) Zeff (The chef pirate) literally ate his own foot so Sanji could atleast have something to eat when they were stuck for over two months in an island, also what a surprise they don't talk about that little detail which is kind of AN IMPORTANT MOMENT in Sanji's character. If you take your time to read this, thanks. Edit: The Boomstick characterization thing in my headcannon probably comes from him now *(SPOILERS FROM BILLCORD)* He has a daughter now and he's just acting like the typical father who wants to look funny

You think Death Battle not mentioning Zeff in Sanji's breakdown was bad, because it really was, in Guts vs Dimitri, they held back a lot of traumatic stuff in Dimitri's early origins section. If you played Fire Emblem Three Houses, they never really go into what made The Tragedy of Duscur so terrible, like how at the time of his father's murder, a young Dimitri's discovered confidants and staff at the castle were secretly unalived and replaced with basically magical skintakers who framed the Duscur people to be genocided as a race as brutally for something they never did (yes, it was revealed to also be racially motivated; think the Rosewood Massacre of 1923 and the movie, but in Game of Thrones time) and Dimitri, supposedly still traumatized from his dad's death, still had the gumption to protect as many of Duscur as possible and that Dimitri's goals also included in vindicating the Duscur folk (both dead and living) from a crime they didn't commit, who he also hears the screams of in his fits. That's really important to understand the background of Dimitri and wouldn't have taken them that long to add on to there.

​@@JonathanFrostathan I also realize that with this little information you could have a much better fight start, like Rock Lee not eating but fighting some random filler villain and crashing into the restaurant where Sanji was and while getting up flipping a table and causing food to fall in the ground and thus get wasted and it leads to a big misunderstanding where it starts as a more knocking him out fight and evolves into a fight to the death Doesn't it sound better and while it still might be a bit out of character for one of them at least it respects it much better than the actual fight

@@JAC-W.1756 Or Lee could have started acting up after accidentally taking a sip of alcohol, remember Guy said it takes even a small sip for Lee to go out of control and would be a much better fighter with more in Part One he destroyed an entire building while under the influence and it took Gai and Neji together to finally stabilize him, he causes a ruckus in the restaurant and at some point early on, Sanji figures out it's the alcohol that making him like this, Sanji has proven to be the most perceptive and empathetic Straw Hat of them all. Sanji would fight solely to protect the restaurant and considering how strong Lee is with Eight Gates and the damage he could potentially cause outside, Sanji may reluctantly decide at some point to fight full force, even if it means one of them has to die, especially as Lee's moves get stronger and more deadly as the fight continues. The only thing that makes Sanji berserk is disrespecting women. He's never had someone dislike his cooking except at the start and when he reunited with his d-bag brothers and even then, he was more upset about the situation around it rather than just the food being disrespected itself.

On the Weiss' outfit complaint you bring up. The outfit you show on screen when you say it "looks nothing like the one in RWBY" is Weiss' outfit from the first three volumes of the show. The one in the episode of Death Battle is actually Weiss' outfit from Volume 4. As for the colors, the DB model is actually closer to the drawn art of the outfit from Weiss' promo render as opposed to the greyer-blue present in the actual series. Hopefully this answers your question regarding her outfit.

This season was truly peak outside of that one episode, i look foward to your season 7 ranking, its probably the most mixed season in terms of opinions and the episodes themselfs

Honestly looking back, All Might VS Might Guy is my personal favorite episode of Season 6 and one my favorite episodes in the series. :) While Season 8 is my favorite season, this is a really REALLY Good Season. Consistently great, an amazing debut to the SFM/ Blender team, and it did a lot to animations and analysis which I greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the whole segment on Sasuke VS Hiei. While it has some flaws, it's in my Top 5 Favorite Episodes of Death Battle. Hopefully we get Younger Toguro VS Akaza & the rest of Team Urameshi on Death Battle soon

The season that truly solidified my love for the series, with some of my favorite episodes yet. Great review, and god I cannot wait for the next reviews, these are really fun to listen to (Season 7 is gonna be one hell of a doozy, also, my favorite episode called peak fiction? Peak Fiction).

Genuinely the most underrated DB KZreadr I've seen. The editing, the jokes, and the one bit about Deadpool wanting to be wanted. This was a blast to watch. You've been added to a list of people who are inspiring to start content creation. So with all respect. Can't wait for your next video!!

About Aang VS Edward, it's a early Death Battle (S2-S3) wishlist about a Match-Up that the fandom prefer over Captain Planet, aka Aang's other popular match-up, most likely because the pre-conception that Aang gets stomped. Similar to Sora VS Pit, it was about a popular request for a vocal side from the fandom even tho the connections aren't that deep on hindsight. In summary, they are young guys with elemental powers, training after a mistake done in the past, and both series being renowed as some of the best animation can offer. Also mentioning this because I'm also guilty of asking for that match-up.

Just saying, Weiss vs Mitsuru was an extremely popular and asked for match up idea long before BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle was ever announced. Every video on Death Battle, you see this match up suggested and it's always getting high votes and Mitsuru was the favorite to win, but most people thought Weiss would win because of RWBY since Tifa vs Yang.

agree when i watch weiss vs misuru i thought weiss going to win but to my surprise she lose but in a good way. Compare the othe DB Rwby cast she the most believable and well analyst than Yang vs Tifa(when until this day was BS until these day) and Blake vs Misaka(which is just massacre and not an unfair matching). It ironic that weiss who is the most popular character and a well written character in rwby lose in DB but still make her competent than RT treated her in her own show how the writer in rwby is hate her.

I actually tried out for a few episodes like "Deadpool vs. Deathstroke" and "Tigerzord vs. Epyin", but then Marissa Lenti became casting director and gave so many hoops to jump through. Believe me, I submitted my demo reel to Sound Cadence more than once.

Weiss' death could have been saved if we saw her dying from her own point of view. Lemme redo it. Earlier in the fight Mitsuru slashes out one of Weiss' eyes and when we see Weiss' POV some of her peripheral vision is blacked out and what she can see has dots of translucent red, implying her remaining eye has drops blood frozen onto it. Weiss' hand is in the shot and she tries to struggle back to her feet but right as Myrtenaster breaks she collapses and her eyes slowly close as Mitsuru turns around.

if you play persona 3 there is a remaster coming soon in I believe 130 days so ye its better to wait also love this video you could do a compilation of all of them when you get to the end and maybe do one every 5 seasons for future seasons idk tho

I loved this video. Youve got a very nice editing style and very good edits and a cool voice! My only real complaint was that the deadpool segment kindaaa dragged on a little too long for my liking. Good points bout the db community sprinkled in but i kinda feel like it overshadowed you talking about deadpool vs mask. Though deadpools use being dragged out was probably a commentary on death battles use of him lmao

Ironically, Edward Elric vs Korra would have been a better FMA vs Avatar matchup in my eyes. The two have similar personalities versus the absolute contrast that was Aang and Ed. Still think Ed loses overall, mostly because once the Avatar state for either comes in, he's overpowered. I still stand by if Ed can either survive it or get a kill before the Avatar state is triggered, he has wincons.

I recently watched full metal alchemist and avatar, I hate ed vs aang even more. Aangs characterization throughout the fight was good and was in character until the ending line. Ed however was done dirty, his intelligence in alchemy or his love for his brother and his friends wasn’t showcased at all, his entire personality was “insecure about his height” when that’s only a single aspect of his personality that’s played for occasional laughs in the show. His last line before his death being about his height instead of about his brother is awful characterization

When it comes to this season, I got a couple things to say. Dedede vs Wario might be one of those match ups where the match up itself is kind of stretching the connections but it sure does has some of the best animation potential thanks to there character and personalities, and boy does the episode deliver, it was so fun and I do agree that it does feel like the best representation of a "wrestling" DB(which I should know, I am a wrestling fan after all). When it comes to Weiss vs Mitsuru, not going to lie, never was a fan of that episode but I guess seeing this analysis of the episode here does make me appreciate it a bit more but still not a favorite, especially the death being so lame but I guess RT didn't want there character to get torn apart or something but that is speculation, don't want to be "that guy". Also, YES! F-Zero IS awesome! very underrated and I wished the lore is covered more in KZread... yes, that's all I got to say about Falcon vs Cage, it's just a really good episode with really awesome music and awesome moments. When it comes to Mecha Godzilla vs Dragonzord, I am really glad they used my favorite version of Mecha Godzilla, Kiryu, or Mecha Godzilla 3 but I guess calling it Kiryu is an easier way to differentiate the different versions of Mecha G. And finally, I remember how hyped I was for Ganondorf vs Dracula. Sure, it's probably not my favorite Ganondorf match up (that job goes to Ganondorf vs Maleficent) but I feel like it has a lot of animation potential to be an amazing Halloween episode and it sure did delivered. One last thing, that whole segment with Deadpool was just brilliant (and I like the Krohnen cameo. I wonder if you ever voiced that same character before, nudge nudge WINK WINK....)

SEason six was the first season i remember not watching at all minus two episodes, that being the finale and widowmaker vs black widow and i only watched the later because i DESPISE overwatch and really really wanted to see a ow die in the series, yeah petty i know but thats just how i feel. Honestly i don't know why i actively stopped watching the show around this point maybe it was college maybe i was just in a bad mental space at the time, maybe it was burntout. honestly i can't remember, i really wouldn't watch the show again until the tenth anniversary season. ITs weird because i was a fan of the show since goomba vs koopa but for some reason season 6 and 7 i didn't watch. And still haven't watched most of season 6 and any season 7 at all. So its interesting seeing these episodes i haven't seen get covered.

Despite the abortion that was aang vs ed especially as a Massive fan of both series this season was great

Idk i didn't watch it the videos you mentioned yeet, but the Edgy video is one of my favorites Season 6 is close to being my favorite season (i keep flip floping between it and season 9, season 9 had better peaks and lows (the only DB season I don't find any episode bad... I mean 3 episodes with the score 5 might be concerning but nothing below that) but the middle of season 6 is better for me, however the lasts episodes of season 9 was the mediocre ones while season 6 was pretty good... Fuck it they're tied now (pretty fitting because 9 is a 6 flipping..... WAIT SIXTY-NIN--)

I have some takes about Optimus Prime. People say that he’s out of character and mean but think about it. Firstly, he thought that Amuro was a Decepticon. Do you think Optimus would be nice to a race of robots that’s gotten him killed multiple times? I view myself as a very nice guy and it takes A LOT to get me mad, however if my opp just won’t stop fucking with me and even killed me, I would show no mercy because if I do, it could lead to more suffering to not only me but my loved ones too. Also, Optimus did not know that there was a human inside the gundam. How would he know? I guarantee that he would be hesitant to fight a human but he didn’t know? (I totally did not pause the video right before you said that he didn’t know Amuro was a human)

The problem wasn't that Optimus fought someone who he thought was a Decepticon to the death. The problem was that Optimus blindly charged in battle with no plan (while letting out a stupid "LeT's RoLl!" along the way) and then procceeded to gloat at his opponent. Optimus, if he ever chooses to taunt someone, taunts them after they tried to taunt him. Optimus' taunts are responsive. He does not start conflict unless all other options are exhausted. No one complained that Optimus fought someone to the death in a show called Death Battle. They complained because a character who's consistently portrayed as intelligent, humble and cautious in battle started the fight by acting like an arrogant dumbass. Also, the way you tried to defend Optimus' portrayal is pretty much the same way a lot of people try to say that it's OK for Bayverse Optimus to violently and mercilessly slaughter every single Decepticon in his way all the while screaming one-liners. A lot of those defenses boil down to "well, the average person like you and I would act that way in this situation". The problem is that Optimus Prime is not the average person. He is not me. He is not you. He is Optimus Prime, a character with established backstory, motivation, personality and ideology. When talking about whether an action of his was in- or out-of-character, you can't just generalise and simplify his character to just "nice guy", "military leader" or "action hero". Optimus Prime is a character with an iron will, a heart of gold and a powerful moral compass who's placed in a position where he leads his forces to battle for his ideals but often gets to face the conflict of his need to win the war to come to conflict with his need to stay loyal on the ideals that made him join the war to begin with. Also, "race of robots that killed him"? You do realise that Optimus is part of that race of robots, right?

@@vaggos2003 First off, I wasn’t trying to imply that Optimus should just murder every decepticon he sees, I was implying that everyone has a limit, including Optimus. Even “nice” people have moments of emotional weaknesses. Optimus has even showed that in the show. Secondly, what exactly did Optimus say to taunt Amuro? All he says was basically “you’re not the only robot I’ve fought”. If anything Amuro’s last line “Not bad, I’m just better” was more of a taunt than anything Optimus says. Also, I don’t see how what Optimus did at the start of the fight was dumb. It’s clearly an ambush. Amuro cut his way to what I can only assume is Optimus’ house (idk what they were in, a space station?) and Optimus acted accordingly. I get it doesn’t really show intelligence but it also does not show stupidity. Now it was kind of stupid to shoot the spacecraft that him and Amuro were on but you can also see the strategy behind it as well. Also, I have seen only 2 of Michael Bay’s Transformers verse and I was really young when I saw them so I can’t really say anything about Optimus’ portrayal.

Yes, even nice people have limits. But I also made a point that Optimus is not just a really nice guy. He is a really guy with an iron will and a strong ideological stance who's placed in a position that oftem forces his ideological and military interests to clash. Yes, Optimus Prime has snapped or made questionable or even downright wrong choices but those moments either came down to him pushed at his hardest (and some may be a case of G1's inconsistencies), but most of the time, if Optimus is to ever aggressively shittalk someone or enjoy beating them up it would be specifically Megatron who he has personal beef with, since he 1) killed him, 2) killed his girlfriend, 3) killed his best friend, 4) killed his co-workers and 5) started a four-million-year war. 4/5 of them at the same day. I highly doubt that a single Decepticon trying to sneak attack and murder them would be enough to make Optimus hate the guy on a level that he would go out of his way to happily charge against him or aggressively taunt him. By the way the setup is presented, it seems to imply that the Autobot Ark has just arrived on Earth's orbit right after the 4 million year war on Cybertron, a.k.a. right after 4 million years of the Decepticons trying to murder Prime and his troops with multiple ways. Prime talking about "being in battle for countless of eons" is a taunt or at the very least a gloat on Prime's side, since Prime is going out of his way to tell his opponent how fucked he truly is despite his opponent having shown or said nothing to provoke such a reaction. A way the line could have been fixed would be if Amuro after yaking a good look at Optimus when their blades clashed and comment tauntingly about their size difference (Amuro is kind of a shittalking brat at times) and have Optimus say a slightly altered version of the line as a comeback not a gloat. Something like this: -Huh, guess they are making you smaller now. That will be easy. -Oh ho ho ho ho, do not underestimate me, Decepticon. I've been in battle for countless of eons. Not only that would be more in-character for both, but it would also lead better into Amuro's last line right before his death and it could even tie with the conclusion's final argument about size not mattering in this debate. As for the ambush, it coild be argued to make sense given the rest of the setup, but it gets ruined by Optimus' forced "Let's roll.". Optimus shouldn't be going "yay, fight time" during what he believed was an assassination attempt against him and his troops. I never criticised Optimus shooting behind Gundam, so I'm not sure why you defended that sequence. I'd argue that the rest of Optimus' portrayal outside of his mostly bad dialog, his undersold reaction at the Ark getting blown up and him standing over the Gundam's remains being framed as a way too heroically cool moment is fine, at least for the context of a Death Battle. He was definitely portrayed as someone with great experience in battle who fought for countless of eons with great determination and force of will and his "Not today." and "No!" were his most in-character dialog (even if both of these lines can be easily not be heard amongst the explosions and the banger track), even if I said just a simple "No!" feels like an underreaction from someone like Optimus after he just witnessed his troops and friends getting possibly killed off. The more I think of it, the more I feel that Optimus vs Gundam is a bit of a similar case with how RaccoonBro-VA described Aang vs Ed, an episode that came out too early. Season 5 came in a weird transition period for the show where the characters in the rundown and the animations were starting to be presented in consistently more interesting and faithfull ways but there were still some early Death-Battle-isms in the writing, such as cases of flanderization. It really feels that had the episode come out after thecsecond half of season 8, we could have a legitimately touching and well-written ending to the fight that stayed true to both characters. Maybe we could have gotten the rewrite DigitalTy suggested in their ranking. Who knows. Like, I once saw a Reddit post saying "name one Death Battle episode that is great aside from one major flaw" and that episode was used as the example picture, which in a way explains why Optimus' treatment sticks out like a sore thumb when everything else in the episode was treated competently at worst. I have heard that apparently some Gundam fans said that Amuro was not treated that well in the episode either, but as someone who was introduced to Mobike Suit Gundam with that episode, I can't really say I agree to that. Maybe a future rewatch will change that, maybe not. As for the inclusion of the in my opinion pretty weak Bayverse Orime defenses in my argument, it wasn't about something you brought up, it was just me giving an example of people generalising Optimus' character when discussing controversial portrayals of his and I brought up that example so as to explain my argument better.

I remember when they had the different Mega Man”s talk in the subtitles, before they removed it. Mega Man X was my favorite, as he just made different references to Street Fighter, Dragon Ball, JoJo & Sonic, plus when I got possessed he started to rant about Death Battle being bias because since his data god damage as he started to lose his mind. While the others constantly tried to stop him since they got scared about that they would get copyrighted.
