The interesting thing about Priya and her training is despite all her physical training she has a naivety when it comes to people. According to her, her parents did try to train her to be distrustful towards others but instead, and likely because of their training, she enjoys being around people who seem to like her and quickly trusts them. Would make for a character study.

This has always been something I've noted, Priya doesn't really have much social game, her training was only good for challenges, but you need to be able to survive the vote too. I'll always defend Millie in their duo because she was the common sense of the pair. A lot of the social strategy came from Millie, and typically social game is what gets you through the majority of the game.

I feel like Axel's moments in Season 2, away from just being a couple with Ripper, set her up to be such a good character. How she's learning to be more socially aware, the fact she does have an artistic and sensitive side, and the fact that there's a scene that implies she might not be able to read. There's a lot of good Axel crumbs, but they're mostly canceled out by Ripper.

It's so nice to see someone that agrees! Her trying to be a good teammate was kinda hinted in season 1, when she made her team (although some questionable) breakfast, it was nice to see tha expand. She only fell off after starting to date Ripper, which on itself wasn't bad, but all they were doing afterwards was Bridgetting and Geoffing (it was *slightly* funny in the Owen episode though)

As much as it broke my heart seeing Nichelle get eliminated the way she did, her reliance on Hollywood's approval of her is a powerful tragic flaw that I think makes sense for her. It just should have been set up better. Maybe imply earlier that she's lying about not caring Hollywood anymore, have her intensity on the competitive side of things be so prominent that it starts really worrying her teammates and either Damien (who's implied to be her friend), Emma (who already helped her out once before in boosting her confidence and could easily do so again) or Priya (the team captain who would, of course, want to be sure her teammates are all on top of their game) trying to figure out what's wrong, something like that.

It actually cute when Ripper tries to win Axel heart unlike Dave & Sky.

You made this video before all of season 2 leaked online but my God did Julia pull off some of the most incredible and shocking plays I've ever seen in that later half of the season. She was one of the most unstoppable Total Drama character I've ever seen, using a combination of immunity and manipulation to dictate who got eliminated. She was already such a great character but that second half of the season made her even more amazing, it was some really great writing and some really great drama.

Some of the new plots and subplots regarding the interactions formed among the contestants in the second season of TDIR (conflicts, friendships, alliances, attractions and relantioships) are: - Julia being the main antagonist again in the season. - The evil duo alliance of Julia and MK. - The romantic relantioships between Axel and Ripper & Caleb and Priya. - The Hockey bros friendship dynamic of Raj and Wayne. - Millie's friendships with Damien and Priya. - Zee getting involved in the subplot of romantic relantioship with Caleb and Priya. - The romantic relantioship of Bowie and Raj. - The minor conflicts of Julia with Nichelle and Damien. - The rivarly between Julia and Priya. - Chase and Emma finally broken up for good regarding their toxicity in their complicated relantioship. - Scary Girl trying to be the normal girl to be intergrated with the cast in interns outfit. This is the third time that I've start bindging and watching the whole season 2 of TDIR 2024 from now on.

Maybe when the next episodes air, we’ll finally get to see more character development in these competitors.

Axel in Season 2 is a mixed bag. I felt the show did a lot to flesh her out, showing she was this competent badass but also had a unexpected sensitive side and getting a little bit more social awareness which I found charming. Issue is the Ripper romance really drags her down like...agh, why him?

Honestly this shows how good the cast is, going into the season I remember no one had high expectations for this cast but they were better than we ever expected, they are actually likable and a little more realistic that PI

I hope Damien wins this season. He is imo the funniest character in this cast next to Zee. He also shows to have some skill with having a challenge immunity win and performing pretty good in challenges. But I really want to know what could possibly happen with his immunity idol.

i can totally see raj or wayne getting to the finale and maybe even winning. Im leaning more towards Raj as hes had more time to shine this season but i can totally see hik getting either voted off or getting another injury's causing him to leave as a way to develop Wayne more. My current guess is Wayne. My guess for the finale is probably Wayne, Julia and Damien, with Wayne winning overall (im biased)

The finale needed to be a three person finale because we had a 13 episode season with 16 characters, if it were 13-14 then we’d have had a 2 person finale, but this is just how it has to be

"The villain" I think is only technically true if you say Al didn't win, which he absolutely did in some countries. Mike was a finalist in All-Stars, where Mal was the antagonist, but Mal was killed before he won. Duncan was a finalist in Action, where he wasn't the main antagonist, but he had antagonistic tendencies. And Lightning was a finalist in Revenge, where he wasn't the main antagonist until after Scott left. I'd personally be more interested in Damien/Raj vs MK as the final 2.

@@RasmusVJS That's true, but Alejandro winning was stupid and I like to pretend it didn't happen. But since it technically did, you could argue about Julia still winning. Alejandro also did have a brutal defeat that season, and didn't keep the prize. I don't count Mal as a winner since he died before Mike or Zoey could win. Duncan had lots of drama to keep up with and wasn't really a main antagonist (Justin then Courtney) and I don't really count Lightning as a villian. He was funny but didn't really seem too antagonistic to me. Flushing Zoey was purely strategic which is not technically villiany.

Yeah I like the cast this season, even though there a few characters I don't like (Millie, Scary Girl, Chase). Also not surprised Bowie was taken out in the second season, he still did a lot of villainous actions beforehand and if it wasn't for Raj, he would have fully committed to cheating and more of a villain. Maybe if they had Julia's plan mentioned in a confessional for taking out Nichelle or having some of the other campers explaining why Bowie had to go would have made it better.

Yeah, I found that decision weird too. He's like, one of the nicest characters that have manipulative tendencies, but for some reason everyone was on his throat specifically. I feel like we could have had maybe a couple more episodes with him this season.

I agree. The producers forcibly eliminated Bowie, anticipating the merge, and nerfed him into losing to Damien. Unfortunately, already in the first episode of the second season it was clear that the producers would have given space to other characters: in the first episode everyone hates Bowie, but no one Julia who is even worse

I don’t think it’s controversial for you to say Scary Girl isn’t your thing. While she’s a fan favorite but she gets hate because people are not really liking her gimmick which is a curse thing for TD characters and I really hated when fans say “she gose to PI” which means they don’t think she can have potential. I really like the idea of her being normal which seems to be a funny idea but sadly because she’s “unimportant” but you can do more with her. Gen 4 if you ask me is genuinely a great cast maybe surpass Gen 1 because I’ve never seen the amount of praise each character gets

The 2 seemed to dislike each other in there first season. At least Scott and Courtney ending up together wasnt as odd as non of the 2 showed a dislike to one another beforehand. Even Duncan and Gwen as they still had a friendship rather then a small dislike where they just tolerant one another

3:06 Yeah, I admit she is combined version of Shawn and Eva, and I just wished she had more arc than just having an arc that makes Ripper better of a character(which worked for like about the first four episodes before they got more season two's Bridgette and Geoff).

5:02 This guy was the goat of the first season, I don't too much with the second season considering he didn't do a lot, but I think he is a good low S or high A tier.

1:40 Yeah I do admit that what Cody had that Millie didn't have was the fact that he was likable enough to not receive a vote until the final four, while Millie just straight up just got carried into the finale, and Millie did the same thing in the second season but thankfully got the perfect placement she deserved in it this time.

Ugh I love Julia. I’m never one to root for the villain of a show but my god she is just so fun to watch, and I love the way that even though she’s manipulative she still has the skill and athleticism to win immunity fair and square. Plus they nailed the toxic influencer trope with her. 10/10 character

Emma is by far my favourite, her plot may have always centered around Chase, but they managed to make a flesh out character with dynamic reactions and personality shifts based on that repeated premise.

Chase is so underrated man. He was well written, funny and hot. He's a great representation of modern teens and douchy youtubers and just youtubers in general since even the good ones strugle with their intros. You can describe him with multiple words since he's full of personality, so much so that he has a great dynamic with anyone no matter who he interacts with. Yes he's a bad person but that doesn't make him a bad character. And his pants man, those gorgeous crispy yellow pants are worth diamonds

7:18 She is the Izzy version of Gwen, but I have to put her in B or C tier as she has the shortest screentime compared to her fellow castmates, I think I am going to say I liker overall in the first season as she was really funny, but won't go to A because she doesn't stand out to ther other 12 reboot characters and she was nothing in the second season due to her early elimination.

for me its: S:Julia; Bowie( king and queen of the reboot, no questions asked) A:Pryia; Wayne; Raj; MK;( all top notch characters, loved the screentime for MK in season 2.what keeps Pryia from S tier for me is that shes kind of a cliche character) B:Scary Girl; Damien( love scary girl, wish she had more screen time in both seasons. damien is average) C:Zee; Caleb;Nichelle;Axel;Emma( Caleb, nichelle and axel are average characters, dragged gown by their poor performance in season 1. Zee is very annoying to me, but not as much as people in D, and Emma is terrible but not as terrible as Chase, so thats why shes one tier up) D:Millie;Ripper;Chase( bottom of the barrel here, Ripper is probably my most hated character in the entire franchise, and his romance out of the blue did nothing for me, though its admittedly better than "farts are funny". Chase is an all around terrible human being in every single one of his appearences. Only mellowed down somewhat because Emma is also a terrible human being. Finally Millie backstabbing Pryia throughout the entire first season and still making it to the finale just annoys me. If she had got her just desserts i feel i would like her character more.)

Priya has been a mixed character for me. She has an amazing voice performance. She’s funny. And late season 2 Priya is great. But I wasn’t a big fan of the screen time in season 2 and her Caleb arc. She is very mixed on me because I don’t know whether to love her or not. That being said my favorite reboot character is Bowie. Julia is close behind.
