@@dimazfantasy5252 Yea from an objective standpoint it's a great film - cinematography, lighting, acting, plot, and a variety of horror elements for the genre that didn't rely solely on jump scares.. But still, it did drag on and detract from the fact it's primarily a horror movie. I'd rather go to an hour long horror film that really knows how to manipulate your heartrate, rather than a 2 hour long, half horror half drama film, but again that's my personal preference for the genre.

I just love the fact that they pulled a mcu for paranormal films it was a ride

Annabelle Comes Home was more than “alright”. It gave us a look into Ed and Lorraine’s daughter Judy’s life, it shed light on many of their cases and the artifact room, and I loved Ed and Lorraine’s cameo. The first Annabelle is alright (for me lol)

Saying it wasn't meant to be a horror movie is A) objectively false as is evident through the marketing campaign and B) is not an excuse to justify the movies sluggish nature as a watered down detective drama. The only good parts of that movie are the carry-over characters from the other conjuring films (Ed and Lorraine) which means that C3 brought absolutely nothing to the table

I'm sorry, but Annabelle is up there with Halloween Ends for my least favourite horror movies. It was just nothing. The only eventful part of the movie is where the lady jumps out the window. The rest of the film is just completely empty. The doll does absolutely nothing and it was overall just a waste of time. I don't really care that it was based off the real events. I just wanted a movie that felt like The Conjuring in terms of suspense and fear, but this was a total let down. Also.....they didn't even explain how she ended up in the store at the end

I accidentally watched Annabelle creation before the original so it’s very obvious to me that the origins don’t match up but Annabelle creation is by far the best Annabelle movie and it has the best origin imo

I think it was cool and fun how crazy Annabelle Comes Home got. It may not be as grounded in reality as some of the others, but I love the insanity, intensity, and suspense of it, and I do remember watching it in theaters and being scared. The same can kinda be said for the recent Nun 2 as well
