I like how we all agree that spirits is no7 water-air-balance are no6,5,4 and fire-earth-change are no 3,2,1 My ranking would be 7. Spirits 6. Balance 5. Water 4. Air (Those 3 are rlly close) 3. Change 2. & 1. Fire and Earth. I alway change between those two (no pun intended)

3:27 That is SUCH a shame! I would’ve given anything to learn more about Kuvira (DAMN YOU NICKELODEON!) we do learn a bit more about Kuvira’s origins in the ‘Ruins of the Empire’ sequel comic & it does make it a little easier to understand how Kuvira ended up how she did but an episode dedicated to her would’ve been phenomenal & we really missed out 😔

Yeah it’s a shame, I think the comic adopted the ideas that they originally planned to be in the episode, but yeah I wish we got the episode included instead of the clip show. A lot of the cast talk about Kuvira as this relatable villain and I just don’t see it, and potentially it’s because they had information that was planned to be in the cut episode. I wholeheartedly disagree with this ranking. imo it should be: 7: Korra season 2: spirits 6: Korra season 1: air 5: Atla season 1: water 4: Korra season 4: Balance 3: Korra season 3: Change 2: Atla season 3: Fire 1: Atla season 2: Earth Overall earth just beats fire and is the best book, from episode 6 to episode 20 it hooks the viewer, never letting go. the only downside of season 2 is the one or 2 episodes at the start that feel a bit sluggish (Secret tunnel and avatar day) season 3 of atla doesnt do that, the headband, painted lady, the runnaway and nightmares and daydreams all do not progress the story in any way. Ontop of that, season 2 has the best story and episodes in the series. The crossroads of destiny is peak storytelling, it is unexpected the whole way through. the tales of ba sing se is the best filler episode ever made. appas lost days is one of the most satisfying episodes after leaving the viewers starving for appa content. and on top of all that, season 2 is the season where iroh gets to shine the most! hence the best season of almost any franchise I've ever seen

Bro came out with the wholeheartedly 😂 I agree season 2 is fantastic (and honestly I might rank it above Korra S3 on a different day) but I still prefer S3 ATLA. Sure S2 has the best filler episodes and also less filler. But I think the fact that S3 has less story based episodes isn’t a bad thing. These guys are children and it’s nice to have episodes reminding us of that. I also think it’s nice to get quiet episodes before a big story moment, a calm before the storm like with nightmares and daydreams and ember island. I think they are both phenomenal seasons and the main reason I ranked S3 above is because I find the conclusion and ending very satisfying, I have watched so many shows which are great where the ending sucks but this ending works for me and that makes me choose it over S2

Imo balance is the best season of Korra. I think it has the best story out of the 4 seasons by far. Kuvira is also easily my favorite villain in the show. It’s obvious to us the viewers that she’s evil and even some people in the show but she’s actually very similar to real life dictators. My only major complaint with the season is Kuvira 100% should’ve died. She’s literally the avatar equivalent of Hitler💀. Also all the parallels they tried to do between her and Korra were super weak

While I like Korra's personal story in S4, I just really don't like Kuvira. Like you mention I understand why people within the avatar world would side with Kuvira but in our world people also say shes relatable which I don't get because she is so obviously evil which just makes me lose any connection with her, and yeah the parallels with Korra were weak. Maybe if they didn't cut her backstory episode I'd like her more but she just doesn't work for me. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts

I think season 3 of Korra can compete with ATLA but after rewatching them all again recently I think season 1 ATLA is better than 1,2,4 of Korra

I really like avatar but I’m not a fan of Anng not wanting to kill the fire lord. It comes out of almost nowhere. If it had been mentioned from the start of the show that Anng didn’t want to kill the fire lord he wanted to find another way around the problem and a good amount of the episodes focused on that that would be fine but that’s not what happens. Anng not wanting to kill The fire lord isn’t brought up until the series finale and it feels so stupid. It just makes Anng look like the biggest dumbass. Anng saying that he has never killed Anyone is so laughably untrue. Energy bending also sucks since that also comes out of completely nowhere and was not mentioned at all until the finale. I’m also not at fan of everything with Tophs parents. it’s never concluded in anyway and we’re only ever told about how apparently Tophs parents didn’t love her but we’re never shown that. In fact that doesn’t even make sense. They sent guys to go and bring her back to them. If they didn’t care about her, why would they do that? I really like avatar but is absolutely not perfect and I feel like a lot of people treat it like it is

I agree about the energy bending, the lion turtle really should have been set up. But I completely disagree about Aang not killing. From early in the show we learn Aang is a vegetarian, that he doesn't like violence, that the air nomads never had a military and that he doesn't kill. Aang was a pacifist throughout the whole show and only used violence if he had to. Sure maybe they could have addressed the firelord killing sooner, like what was he planning to do on the day of the black sun but maybe he just thought he could win without killing during the eclipse. And also a large part of Aangs story was that he was avoiding his responsibility, he knew everyone wanted him to kill the firelord and he was avoiding thinking about it until it was too late. That all works for me but yeah the energy bending could have been handled better. And the toph parents story is under developed but it never feels too important and it doesn't ruin the show. That’s fair I was really close between ATLA S2 and Korra S3 and honestly I think I might swap them around if I rank them now, I don’t think Korra S2 is bad but it’s definitely the weakest. Thanks for watching
