I've definitely seen formations just like this in my ranked games. It's cool that you can classify and generalize their concepts

When I saw Virge made a video I knew it was gonna be good and it didn’t disappoint. Great content

Great vid, its so nice to see these concepts formalized into actual formations. Sort of a nitpick - I'm not sure how common these terms are yet but they don't really flow off the tongue as a group, especially in a quick comms setting. I think something like these would be easier to remember, and quicker to comm if a team wanted to try and push up in a specific formation: - Split (great name already) - Stack (rolls off better than layering, but still clear meaning) - Cover (The "2" doesn't feel necessary since there's no "Cover 1" or "Cover 3" to differentiate from like with football, and quicker to say) - Another option - "Safe" - to stick with 3 s's, but still makes sense with the formation just my 2 cents, but again great vid!

What Virge Calls split in this video I Call Cover 1 (in certain circumstances). Cover 3 also exists but is typically just used to close out games at the end when that team has comfortable lead and just need to waste time.

@@vastbigbubba people use pretty much nothing but split even in SSL solo q... gotta be higher MMR for that or simply scrims with teams for that and mainly improve ur mechanics, decisionmaking speed and adaptiveness in solo q

Your team wont always be on the same page, but you can play these positions in solo que and they end up being naturally good positions in a lot of scenarios :D

Player pool is too small for physical formations. There is only three objectives at any one given moment, also way easily surmised also rendering fixed formations useless.

Great take. Tell the seasoned RLCS coach that he's wrong and you're right instead. That makes a lot of sense. What's the point of subbing to his channel or watching his videos if you're just gonna immediately be close minded and say "nah this doesn't work"... what is that mindset?

for some reason u are toalking about fixed formations... thats exactly the point... they arent fixed u are rotating through those formations at all times... like all Top RLCS Teams for atleast the past year if not two years have done... its the best option to play RIGHT NOW... the mta will keep evolving and new and "better ways" will be found out eventually
