From my perspective as a Passive Player, and the way the META has been shaping up, I honestly need to become more proactive with regards to defense and challenging. I often find myself giving too much space, or just giving up pressure in either 1v1 or 2v2. Maybe that might be a video idea you can look into? Definitely asking you over everyone else because no one has a Big Brain like yours.

I tend to do the same due to my regular 2s partner having really bad recoveries. It's hard to find a midway point at times. Typically though good shadow defense will give you an opening you just need to use your space correctly. C1 or below you can typically give more room because they don't use that space well. It's usually an instant throw or uncoordinated dribble. C2 up you have to respect what you give. IE giving them a clean first touch means respecting what comes next. Like he said in this video covering space tends to be the best bet if your teammate gives you the option. The best way to stop high skill players is not letting them be comfortable. Or you can always master the demo meta

If you consider continuing this replay analysis series, i would propose M0nkey M00n next. He is the best 2s player after all. Obviously the previous World Champion. Had the 2s mmr World Record and is more often in the Top 3 there than not, even more often than Zen.

I’m pretty sure Lj got 2630 in 2s at one point, “had” the 2s mmr WR. I hope M0nkey M00n is next too

@COVID_Is_Not_Over_Yet I indeed wrote "had" because he HAD it and does not anymore. Yes LJ broke M0nkey M00ns 2607 record with 2610 at end of the same season.

also at 9:57 despite trying to get the touch while in the air, he stops the move and avoids touching the ball last second, after which he again uses that tiny bit of remaining boost to grab the big boostpad to continue on the offense. i'm only champ rank myself but if i see that ball flying like that, i'm almost always trying to touch it. if he wouldve done it, it wouldn't have been a goal for sure.

not many people know this, or take time to notice but if you look at Zen's field position(s) e.g. where he goes AFTER he's given up the ball, respects his opponent(s), he waits (or cuts if he has the momentum, boost, space ect) but he respects opponents until they are locked into doing something giving them very few choices to score, this is where most of the time Zen intercepts because giving them only a few options is easier to defend and easier to counter as well. i see so many diamonds, champs and what not just rushing, ball chasing, not giving up until they over commit into a lost challenge. This is both really bad from you and for your team mate(s) who are now down a possible defending player.
