Range time. Zeroing The Swampfox Optics Justice Red Dot.

Finally got to put a zero on my Swampfox Optics Justice Red Dot. I recently sent off the slide from my Glock 19X to AMF Defense for an optic cut and some slide serration goodness.
I’m using the RMR 10 yard zero target from Arma Dynamics. It’s a good tool to get a solid zero in your red dot. It took me more rounds than I wanted to spend (I kept throwing rounds), but I got it where I wanted it. I zeroed my optic at 10 yards, and confirmed the zero at 25. Keep in mind that different ammo will provide a different result in accuracy. Once you’re done target shooting always get a solid zero with your duty/carry ammo. In my case Federal 124 gr. HST. I had to make a slight adjustment for my carry ammo.
The Justice Red Dot from Swampfox Optics is a solid rig. Coming at $260 (discounts for Law Enforcement and Military) it’s an awesome piece for a great price. It exceeds all of my expectations for be EDC optic. It’s backed up by Night Fision’s Costa Ludus night sights.
The holster I’m using today is my X1 Ally from TXC Holsters. It’s a flexible sidecar appendix rig that offers superb concealment and comfort.

    Thanks for the video, very helpful. How far did you have to turn it to bring it up to zero from that initial group you shot? Since it does not have clicks, I am looking to get a sense for how far a quarter turn or half a turn takes it?

    I honestly don’t remember. Even though it doesn’t have clicks, it’s not hard to index the MOA markers.

    @@TheMicLoop ah that makes sense thank you. I did not see the index markers initially but just had a look and I agree, they are fairly clear and easy to index. I am estimating half a turn (roughly 12-13 MOA markers) for 4.5 inches at 25 yards but unfortunately the tool they sent with the dot does not have a small enough flat head to allow for turning the dial, so I had to go home and adjust there. Will see if my estimate is accurate when I go back to the range again next week.

    Honestly, the clock is just a goochie feature. Totally not necessary. However, I have under good authority that Swampfox is working on clicking MOA adjustments.

    Friend, which one is better? Justice or Sentinel?

  • @TheMicLoop

    @TheMicLoop

    Depends on the application. Sentinel is smaller and fits the RMSC footprint. Meant for smaller frame pistols the Justice is their larger window optic on an RMR footprint. Both have varying operational features as well.

    Can you co-witness at all the the Costa Lotus sights?

  • @TheMicLoop

    The Costa Ludus sights are meant to be co-witness sights. Night Fision explains this. They’re tall enough to be back up sights.

    So I have the Liberty in my 19. I love it. Shot with it a ton. I got the Justice last month. I love it just like the Liberty, but it has a bigger window. This, I feel, gives it an advantage. Both are awesome optics at a great value.
