Always been into lifting but you've inspired me to start running. Now that has led to me getting my first bow and hoping to go on my first hunt this year. Always wanted to hunt but the military lifestyle made it difficult. Now I'm out and looking forward to it! Thanks for the inspiration Cam!

Just got my first bow in January and let me warn you now…it’s addictive and you will spend WAY more money than your anticipating buying releases, new arrows, etc. What bow you get!?

@@Prim3e I got a Mathews TRX 38. I’ve already switched to 80% mods, CBE trek pro sight and dipped it in Origin Raptor so it’s coming together nice. I’ve been using a back-tension release to help eliminate anticipation and “target panic.” It’s addicting for sure!

Love these videos Cam! keep em coming.
Beautiful day to be alive!☀️ Choosing the right sight tape from experience👌🙂 Great demo ❤️
Ahh to have cam dial your bow in and hand deliver it Joe is a lucky man!
Good stuff Cam! Although few can shoot 90lbs.. I'm having similar dilemna dialing in my setup and was being ignorant to the fact that a few turns back on the limbs could be a win-win! Also you're last video has me eyeing those carni-fours, but I really like the Valkyrie blood eagles too and they are local to us in Oregon!!
Love getting more insight into cams set ups and Rogans for that matter 💪🏻
I smell a lift, run, shoot with Rogan coming up 🤠 Texas style ! 🔥

love the procomp arrows - finally someone speaking about them! 👊👊👊
Thanks for sharing a bit about your arrow specs! What’s your draw length?
That bow packs a punch! Especially with the ProComps. Envious of them. they’re pricey but seem worth it
Please keep making videos like these🙌🏻
The carbon express maximum triads are a great heavy arrow, especially with their insert system it is a 4mm arrows i left the fmj because of their bend problem
Love a longer ATA still have my Hoyt Maxxis 35. Not sure I'll ever let it go. I shoot the best with it. It's like an old friend, can pick right up where you left off 5 yrs prior. Always a good feeling!!
Thanks for the knowledge Cam. Just bought a hat and shirt! Hopeful to be on your podcast one day!
Just ordered the VTM34 yesterday, Kuiu camo lefthand 70lb 30"draw looking forward to getting it dialed in.
I think its very interesting after being into archery for 40 years or so how the subject of heavier poundage bows makes a full circle. When i was in my early twenties i shot a Darton at 72 pounds at 65 percent let off and these days most bows have that 80 percent plus let off. To be honest i shot my 65 percent much better than a new Hoyt i had in 2012. I havent really found one that i like to shoot in some years. Cool to see the long shots...keep up the great shooting.
My main man Cam! Love your videos brother. Lakeview, OR here 🎉
Hey mate, what foam block do you use for the backstop on your balloon target? Trying to build myself a range, thanks! Keep Hammering.
What bow do you shoot cam? Currently rocking the helix turbo I bought last year. Love your videos!
Im so impressed with the shooting and glassing with sunnies on! I gotta practice that as my eyes are getting cooked 🍳
I've missed these videos SOOOO much 🙂
What’s the giant black block shot at? That’s awesome for far away?
Top Nice best work , aqui no Brasil chamamos de show de bola topzera !!!🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷 parabéns!!!
Cam what Binoculars you got there? Been looking to upgrade to an all in one
Good pick on the sight tape
What's the difference between the aluminum vtm vs the carbon rx models? Any chance you could shoot them side by side and talk a bit about the subtle differences?
I bought fmj not knowing how easily they bend, do you still recommend?
Grim Reapers all the way! Loved my results attached to an FMJ. Switching to a lighter Axis and better FOC. Watched em drop as advertised. KEEP HAMMERING.
Hey Cam- do you mind me asking why you turned your bow down a few turns for your Pro Comps? Would they have been under spined, might they fly a bit funny, or do you just find it to be a bit much? Thanks man, great shooting as always
Any day on the range is a good day!
Anyone have any input on the ultra vs the 30? I’ve been back and forth, i’m in Canada.
This is the content I've been waiting for....let's goooooo #keephammering
Does a sunglasses affect at your accuracy is it harder to aim with them or not.
What kind of stabilizer does he use on the front
Love the Ventum. I shoot same bow and it's friggn's beautiful draw cycle, quiet and holds very nice in hand. Question, isn't Joe's DL shorter than yours? and wouldn't that require a new site tape and re-sighting?

Can’t go wrong with either set up brother !

What shoes r u wearing. Love the vids. Bad ass new Hoyt.
I still love my hoyt pro defiant.
is that a spot hogg fast eddy?
I haven't needed a new bow since I bought my Spyder 30 ten years ago.
I'm not sure the draw length, but I'm shooting an RX7 ULTRA at 83.1 lbs draw and 31" and my 544 grain arrows are flying at 289fps, which gives me 97lbs kinetic energy and it's a very accurate set up.

Hoyt is so loud on the release ?
Love the vid Hanes! But could you or someone in the comments tell me what’s the pro n cons of having a heavier arrow?
@someoneyouknow96
Жыл бұрын
Penetration. Basically mass keeps moving through the target once the target is hit. A lighter arrow won’t have the weight to pass through an elk. The heavier arrow will. Elk hunters usually hunt with heavy arrows.
This is all new to me but wanting to learn ❤️❤️🇦🇺🙏💪
The Dud must be jealous 😂 He thought he was Joe's Archery guy.🤣

G'day from Australia. What's your thoughts on an aerodynamic 125gn target tip flying same as less aerodynamic 100gn broadhead? That's my target vs hunting setup

By the way, I receive my vtm34 70lbs blackout with spot hogg and bits in a few hours. 430gn arrows. I'll test it with my fmj dangerous game too
@carzfn8163

More point weight is always ideal. It shifts the balance forward, eliminating inconsistencies on the back end, especially with the wind. Also, a heavier point seems to have better penetration for me. I actually prefer 140gn for my hunting rig, but my tournament bow likes 120 because USA Archery limits draw to 60lbs
Where can I get some camo
It's interesting that Cameron always takes his bow with him to the target. I think most people set it down from where they shot.

It’s buttery smooth. It’s hard to believe it’s a speed bow. I pulled back a 70# and made them double check that it wasn’t a 60. Fairly dead in the hand too.
I love you. Love Joe.: know Jack all about archery… the first part of this was Greek to me
I'd use the heavier FMJ's @ 90# draw weight...My Ventum Pro is set @82#'s with 528 gr. 4mm FMJ's...Absolutely hammers stuff...I'd love to see 90#'s up close!!

I shoot gold tip hunter xt. 300 at almost full length 31 inches but lower poundage 63 lbs they are great target 🎯 idk about hunting haven’t hunted yet but isn’t 500 grains kinda weak ? For heavy poundage? I’m a newbie to this
@funinthefoothills

I meant spine my bad
I’m not convinced these bows are engineered to tolerate the higher poundage’s. I just had the bearings of the top cam on my Ventum 33 Pro (82 lbs) come apart at full draw. It was so dramatic I stopped and slowly let the bow down, all the time waiting for the bow to blow up. Seriously oh shit moment. I’ve shot my RX7 at 70 lbs a lot more with no issues…
... please tell me that means another podcast 🙏 🙌
I wonder how his recurve accuracy is .
whats yalls draw length thx for the vid...
Nobody else mentioning that sick origin Leupold bino harness ??
Expensive arrows but great setup. Why now try Axis instead of FMJ or ProComp... split the difference with a more durable arrow.

@@dannysands9535 thank you, I did find out on my own eventually, but I appreciate you coming through with the hookup!
I once heard bill Winke say shot placement trumps trauma and penetration, but personally I’d take the heavier arrows especially since Mr Hanes is more accurate with the FMJ’s than 99.9% of bowhunters.
There ahould be another camera on the target.. 😊
That flag was a paid actor 9:16 😂
Rogan Hanes 2024. Let’s make it happen people. America 🇺🇸
How do I get some 90 lb limbs?
Holy Smokes... shoot a range session at last light w/ lighted nocks. Just 10 min of flights and shot thoughts. That would be an all timer.
I hate sighting in nows on a windy days. As you said. Every littlle mistake is amplified... and yes i knownhunting is rarely "ideal" everything when your taking that shot. But still.
That is fucking insane how good that is from 125 yards.........
Is Joe the same DL as you?
You need to come back to KZread!
Did Cam switch to carnivore diet is that right? I vaguely remember it for some reason. Rogan talked about how he’s switching to carnivore permanently last week
Man I’d be going 450 gr max and take advantage of that speed increase!
@technicalbowhunting
Жыл бұрын
Problem is the faster your setup the more tuning issues you run into. With heavier poundage you can run a heavier arrow @ preferable speeds around 280 fps that will actually shoot out further due to retained momentum. This means even though your arrow is heavier you may actually be able to touch out to the same yardages as the lighter arrow but have more kenetic energy and more penetration.
@casanovafrankenstein8875
Жыл бұрын
Lmao!
A 540 gr arrow would be considered heavy for most of us but isn't heavy for 90 lbs. That would be similar to shooting 420 grains at 70. That seems to be money for your draw weight.
Wow! Joe's bow shoots flat!
Don’t fix what ain’t broke Cam!!
Love when a bow sounds like a rifle when you shoot it 😂😂 things way to loud
Rogan gets the best of the best only! Custom Hoyt, custom 1 of 1 PSE all set up by Legends in the game.
