I've voted Lagaan and believe me its better. But Rang De Basanti is also amazing so I'm ok with that

Praveen Tiwary no brother lagaan is not overdramatised what you think is dramatised is just the epicness of the movie.

The background in ur vdo at 9:56 to 10:00 scene where the politician is seen ordering open fire is an adaptation of Jalliawalah Bagh massacre (I believe because it reminded me of that) in 1919 when Gen. Dyer ordered open fire on an unarmed gathering, and the place had only 1 entry/exit point. I think, you might like to read about it. It was one of the many events that really inspired Bhagat Singh to fight for freedom.

The music in the background is a Sikh prayer.

It is also a concept in Hinduism.... Time moves in a circle (where the term incarnation came) in this movie Bhagat Singh, shukhdev are old Hero at present these college students are with different looks

Trust me when I say this...Lagaan would have been a better choice hands down! It is an Oscar nominated film which is still being taught in many film schools all over the world including NYFA. It is a must watch

Lagan would have been more enthusiastic ... although this movie plays a role of its own but Lagaan is sports drama during British era and it would take your breaths away ... I still think u should review this movie next .

The story of the revolutionaries is told beautifully in "The Legend of Bhagat Singh" starring Ajay Devgan. Definitely recommend if you want to learn more about their stories.

My guess is that you found the first half slow or less interesting because of cultural difference. Indians can relate to the first half very well there is a lot of comedy in the first half.
