Silvanus Clarke and that is ok brotha. When you here about this mans life and the things he was doing that the media doesn’t talk about it let’s you know he was a genuine person. I don’t have to know good people to feel like I “know” good people. It’s something that’s there and you can appreciate.

I’m still struggling with this. Watching Randy break down brings it all flooding back again. The sadness, the feeling of loss, the hurt for his family, all of it. I met Kobe, both my wife and I 14 years ago. He was the ambassador of cool and treated us like we were old friends. He signed nine autographs for us and then let us call a friend of ours for him to say hello to. I cant even begin to tell you what a great guy he was. Miss him terribly...

Kobe was one of the last great players that TRULY had the heart of a champion and who wanted to win more than anything.. He didn't go hopping to the next super team when times got tough and his team had bad seasons.. When he lost he came back more determined and more focused than ever.. Kobe was not only the fiercest competitor to possibly ever play the game of basketball,he was also loyal to his franchise who took the chance on him, invested and who believed in him.. To me that makes him top 3 of all time! I'll say the other players in recent memory who had that competitive spirit and loyalty were Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Dirk Nowintski. It's sad but I don't think they make players like Kobe Bean Bryant anymore.. Rest easy Mamba thanks for the memories and epic battles you've allowed me to witness! ☄💜☄💛☄💜☄💛☄ - Spurs fan

Kobe's lasting legacy is that his message transcends basketball. It's not to say that he was bigger than the game, because basketball was the vehicle for his gospel of excellence, which starts with belief in yourself. From there, it's a matter of developing a tireless work ethic that moves you ever closer to your dreams and full potential. Eventually the realization kicks in that dreams and milestones can be achieved along the way, but full potential is found in the journey, a journey that never ends, because your potential is limitless. Kobe embodied that with every breath he took as a living testament to what is possible. Yeah, it's alright to get emotional about that, because it goes very deep and says something about the essence of who and what we are and why we're here. If that doesn't touch you in some way right now, I hope some day it will.

Kobe did it with more ease and grace against more athletic and skillfull players. Kobe can go it alone and still will his team to victory. Remember the multiple iconic games against Toronto, New York, Dallas and the game winner against LeBron's Cleveland in '06 I think. Kobe definitely was the most revered and feared player in the league ever. He was the most unstoppable offensive juggernaut the world had ever seen. La Mamba Negra was a killer in offense and struck deadlier in defense. Kobe reigned supreme in the most skilled and athletic era in the Nba. He took all challengers and never for once took a back seat. He was transcendent. He was legendary. He was the ultimate competitor and the Greatest player of all time!

You can actually find clips of multiple analyst saying it was lebrons league since 06. Kobe and jordan are the the goats and then you can have argument about the rest. Moss is right about the politics no one on tv actually believed lebron was better then kobe that's why you always heard players saying kobe was the best they ever played against.
