I just hate that they’ve removed all agency from him. All his actions revolve around Egwene and being bossed around by Moiraine. He didn’t even get his ending battle scene

“That woman doesn’t care about being a Wisdom, that’s not the woman I love” It is such a powerful line. It shows how much he is willing to sacrifice for the joy of the ones he loves.

I really love Rand, he has such an amazing character arc, in both a good and bad way. I hoped the show would highlight the struggle he was going through from the start instead of hiding him so much....and yeah, i wanted to see him going acrobatic on Bayle Domon's boat lol

Speechless. I know I always say this but in less than 4 minutes you are able to capture the life of a character (in this case, Rand) in a unbelievable way 👏👏 Perfect as usual, keep it up ;)

Thank you for sharing this. Ever since joining Twitter I've felt very much alone in my appreciation for Rand. It's very heart warming to know there are indeed others who feel as I do about such a loving man/character.

He’s been my friend since the day i met him on the quarry road when i was 12 and he will be til the day i die. The wool headed sheepherder, the Car’a’carn, He Who Comes with the Dawn, the Dragon Reborn. Lots of people love Rand Al’Thor. ;-)

You are not alone. Someone may dislike or like characters. But one thing is certain: his arc is outstanding. Complex, with a range of emotion and epicness that is unbelievable

See I find it interesting cause when most ppl are asked who their favorite character is, rarely is it Rand. Just like a lot of characters in the book don't see, a lot of fans apparently don't see, how much he sacrifices and puts himself through( yes I know some characters see, but A LOT dont). Always fighting for others even when it seems like he is only doing "what he wants"(which sometimes makes it seem like selfish choice). He is really just doing the only thing he knows to do, to protect EVERYONE!

I don't know, going from polls and comments through the years i've read the books, Rand often comes up on top or second to Mat when it comes to favorite characters/story arc. The girls seem to be more divisive characters, with Perrin often being a fan favorite for the first half of the books but kinda falling off in the second half.

@@llamaface4171 Maybe show influenced? But still Nynaeve is also a very popular book character, so maybe just depends on the posts/sites. When i see posts asking about Nynaeve the replies are often "she is very annoying, thus i hate her" or "she is very annoying, still i love her" not much in between (i'm in the second group)😄 Egwene is often the one that i see the most negative reactions about, even though many agree she has a great story arc.

I was shook when he said "tell them I died here" at the end, that was such a sad, and unnecessary part in the finale.

@@KostyaDolbilov I think he means what hints has the show given that justify Moiraine being sure it's him? In the show there are pretty much no prophecies, him being a channeler and being born on Dragonmount aren't really evidence of it in that context. Machin shin also seem to just play on a person deepest fears, it's not a proof. I've seen some non book readers thinking he is wrong and it's really Nynaeve cause she is clearly stronger.

But I think it will get attention in the next seasons when Rand will do what he did in the books. And we didn’t saw a true level of Rand’s power yet so some people can be disappointed that Nynaeve is stronger then him. So we will see what next seasons will show us

All the season focusing in other characters and it sucked. The moment they focus on Rand it becomes great.

This series is very very weak, stupid and bad for me... I am drop it and will never return to. After this illogical and funny trash, I even started reading books to find the truth, and have already read 4 and they are much, much better. But your video based on series is cool)

the diversity was always there in the books, no need to shove it in, in an awful ways in the first season and thus change the story. I hate when script writers think up shit without fully examining the source books.

Since when was trying to appeal to a multicultural audience a bad thing? You realise in the past, there was literally a censorship gear towards straight and white people right, ensure a character is mostly white and always straight. So stop crying when a media is more diverse than an all white cast.

We never see black, Asian or ethnic characters being replaced by white characters so why is it acceptable the other way around? It’s not. Why is Rand, THE DRAGON REBORN, THE MOST POWERFUL CHANNELER TO WALK THE PLANET, the most stubborn of the 3 young men from the Two Rivers, one of the most skilled swordsmen in thr world, at leasr in the books because he trained under Lan, but in the show, why is Rand completely FREAKING USELESS???!I havent watched the show because, lets be honest, its fucking dogshit. Not even as an adaptation, but just as a television show, its awful. Now you ask, how can i judge the show if i havent watched it? Because i have watched scene by scene breakdown reviews, and agreed with their assessments. Something i noticed in the scene by scene breakdown reviews, is thet the writers, cant even follow their own rules whem it comes to the show. Like the msgic system. Example. Logsin, a man who has been gentled, can somehow still see the weaves of Sa'Din. But Rand. An ACTOVE channeler, cannot see these weaves?!? Which... now, i read these books omce a year, every year, for the past 11 years. And, at least in the source material, we dont know that rand can see weaves of the one power, because he doesnt encounter a man who cam channel eluntil the very end of the first book, and when we get to that point Rand doesnt underwtand ANYTHING that is happening around him. He believes he is battling the Dark One, snd hes the Dradon Reborn, so the weaves he is seeing, he believes tk be the dark ones power. And he is wieling the one power. And something else to mention here, you cannot see the weave being woven. You can sense when another channeler(this isnfor men only) embraces the one power. A male channeler cannot feel the fact that another man CAN channel until thst man embraces the source, OR undergoes a test, similiar to how Taim teaches Rand the test for finding channlers. So. Men who can channel dont k ow that another man can chennel unless he is currently channeling, or at least holding the power. And they cannot see a weave until it is woven. Once youbhave been gentled, that ability is gone. Becuae yku have been cut off from the source. Its not like being shielded, where being shielded youncan still sense the power, you just cant reqch it. Once youre gentled, you cant sense the power, see the power. Nothing. Its gone. For good. So. A gentl4d man can see weaves. But a man who CAN channel, knows he can channel cant see them? And this camt be put down to ignorance either. Rand would see the weaves, even if he didnt understand WHAT he was seeing, he would STILL SEE IT. Somethig. Else. Idk if this is mentioned i. THe show, but in the books, men cam sense when a woman embraces the power, but a woman doesnt knkw when a man has embraced the power. Now I'm nsure because this tv show is centering itself around "Man weak. WOMAN STRONG" that the woman will he able to tell when a man embraces the power. But they shouldnt be. YET ANOTHET REASON that the drsgon rebirn is such a danger to the world. Brcuae in the books, THE WHOLE REASON THE DRAGON BEING REBORN IS A DANGER IS BECAUSE ITS A MAN!! MEN WHO CHANNEL GO INSANE!!! The fact that the TV dhow made the prophecy of the drsgon include women as a potential drsgon tskes away the danger of the dragon completely. Because if the drsgon is reborn as a woman, no harm done. A eoman drsgon has zero potential to "either break the world kr save the world" unlrss by some WILD happenstance a woman dragon were found by the shadow IMMEDIATELY. For the dragon reborn to be a danger to the world it HAS TO BE A MAN. Brcause like i said. Male channelers go insane. And a woman cannot tell that a man can channel until he does it. A male channeler could steut around the white tower, well okay not the white tower, but Tar Valon, embracing the power and have not a cate in the world. Hell he could even channel a few weaves as well as long as they were broad acale weaves and not like.. a fireball. But he could definitely walk into tar valon and weave a complex and powerful weave that like chamged the weather. And a weave like that would take IMMENSE amounts of the one power. And since the women wouldnt hace felt a single drop of Saidar beimg wovenz they would know it was Saidin. And they would knoe that a man had judt channled in the city and they would know he would have to be INSANELU powerful to pull of a weave like that. Or, even worse, there was more than one channeler! While the men cant link, they could pull of a trick like Taims where the men makr a shield by eaxh individual man creating a shueld in a specific spot, and the man next tl him fills the spot beaide it. Anyways. The point all mu ramblings is trying tk make is this: tbey absolutely BUTCHERED the source material, b ut thats not why its a terrible TV show. The TV show is awful because the writing is fuckin, dogshit snd they cant follow their own rules that they made. This Rafe Judkins guy is a fuckin joke. For some fucking reason, hese people all decided thst the wheel of time, the most diverse fantasy book series i have ever seen, except Brandom Sandersons Stormlight Srchive. Was diverse enough, eas progressove enough, easnt liberal enough and do they had to butcher a beloved IP all in the name of their own shitty agenda. Tbis TV show is just trying to oush the message thst men are weak and useless amd arent needed! Like when Rand was rushing to go save Egwene from the Suldam. Because he cares about her. But thwt would makr Egwene look like a weak woman. They wouldnt even allow Egwene to be saved by Nymaeve and Elaine!! The image of a woman being saved in any way makes them look inferior. So instead they decide to break their own rules so thst Egwene can save herself. And these writers dont understand, that didnt make Egwene look steong and capable. It made the show make no fucking sense. .

The "Wheel of Woke" is a horrible show. Absolute garbage, great books, horrible TV adaptation.
