My 4 year old daughter Loves this song. And she loves Rancid... She got her first rancid shirt for her bday last week and loves it. Wore it to the dentist today with her "Mohawk hair" (did the best I could). She told everyone she seen about the shirt. She was so proud, I'm sure no one had a clue who rancid was. Man, I love that kid!

😂😂 it's an awesome feeling watching your kids fall in love with the same music you did at their age! When my son was 8 and in the 2nd grade I had a parent teacher conference with his teacher and his principle and councillor was waiting for me there as well. They were concerned with some "rhymes" he was teaching to the other kids. They were Misfits lyrics 🤣🤣

My good friend died today, and I'm playing this song loud in his honor. He was a huge fan of Rancid. RIP Brother.

The lyrics also imply the boyfriend is too obsessed with himself and seeing his name on the marquee to care about Ruby. Could be a metaphor for WWE being so into its own branding that it’s too scared to push anybody new that would become a bigger star than the brand.

I was one of/maybe possibly the only black girl in my little suburban town that loved punk music. All my family were telling me I should like typical "black" music like hip-hop and R&B. I won't lie a pretend I knew what the song meant when I was a goofy kid. But ruby soho, defined me in the music and aesthetic I loved.
