we already looked at it a little in our dewalt nail gun range review - kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZWdpytSDgLu5iZs.html It's certainly not in the same category as this though, not for nailing bottom plates.

Used one of these for ages but with the smaller pins at a time when I was installing a lot of rondo stud work. With the magazine putting the tracks down was a breeze. I still have a single shot only gun. Plus being an old fart I still have a .22 shot version. All these guns now are pin fire. The old type used to be propellant driven with no safety system. There was even one that took different strength shot gun shell blanks. Many a smoko was spent shooting at targets pinned on a tree.

I've had this gun for the past 10 years. It's been awesome. Most of the time i just use the single shot as it can be hard to find the collated pins locally, also you get 10 pins in a rack and 10 charges in a strip but quite often you get out of sync with the charges which gets annoying. Also you forgot to mention in the video you still have the 17c charge cost. Great video!

    Yeah fair enough. We mentioned the 17c charge cost. 17c + 30c pin = 47c :)

I used an older model single shot and it was definitely quiet and had less kickback than a nail gun which was surprising

To each his own but I don't consider the magazine a good buy. First, it only holds 10 pins which isn't that big of an advantage. Second, all magazines will jam, no way to get around it. The time it takes to clear a pin jam nullifies the advantage it takes to load a magazine that only holds ten pins. If the magazine held 20 or more pins, then I could justify owning one. Third, I'm not a fan of the rubber spring reset system. It works but the spring will wear out and when it does, it will not reset the piston, leaving the piston partially in the magazine. A piston hanging in the magazine will always end up in a magazine pin jam. Rubber springs are effective but there main advantage to the manufacturer is it makes a fully automatic tool less expensive to manufacture. I see why they exist but if used properly, a pullamatic semiautomatic tool is more reliable.
