Music video as art. This is one of the most gorgeous video productions I have ever seen. And the song itself... dear God does it hit. I've was at Rammstein in Hamburg, Germany on 15th of June 2022. It was INSANE. They played this song. It was a god like experience.... words cannot describe what this concert was like.

@@sophiecooper1824 I had my father with me. He is not a hardcore Rammstein fan but he likes their music. So he HAD to see them. I bought tickets for 20202 but the concert got delayed due to corona. He needed a few days to process what happend. And since I was in Hannover 2019 at the Europe Stadium Tour, I had already seen it all. I didn't take my smartphone out, I didnt take any videos or photos. I just experienced the moment and I was physically done after like 15 songs :D It was a piece of heaven on earth that will never leave my soul.

I sometimes wonder how incredibly stupid we were brought up. Children are allowed to watch in film and television how other people are shot, but here, slaughtered, but at birth everyone gets crazy. Taking life is celebrated, giving life is censored and just don't look.

geht mir auch so. Und vor allem aus so vielen unterschiedlichen Gründen. Aus Freude wegen diesem Video-Kunstwerk. Aus Trauer wegen der letzten Szene dieser Story. Und wahrscheinlich auch noch aus mehreren anderen Gründen, die man nicht defeinieren kann.

This music video is so beautiful and seing this live last week was a different experience. No pyro , no fireworks just Tills voice and the instruments . I was in the front row so i could see that this song seems to very important to Till , he put so much heart into his performance. I'll never forget that.

Great reaction, finally someone paid attention to the war scene, showing soldiers who used to be kids and putting the kids in same place... really heartbreaking moment, almost as hard as the scene with farmer losing his daughter. The scene with farmer is so touching - first he sees the destiny, and then in horror he realizes that she's come not for him, but for his daughter 😐 aargh. And the visuals are so extraordinary - just like the whole song.

Read the end titles. These kids playing are named as "Young Rammsteins".

I want to thank you for being one of the very few male reactor that didn't look shocked or horrified when they show the scenes of the women giving birth. I was already expecting to see a look of disgust or some comment on how they shouldn't show that. So thank you very much for being a mature adult

Yeah, the latest album is a masterpiece. So many absolutely fantastic songs there. While Rammstein still has their trademark silly songs like Dicke Titten, they also have a much more mature sound than usual. This song really exemplifies that. Some other highlights from the album are Adieu and Lugen. Those two and Zeit are just magical, but the whole album is great.

The dark creature is probably not "The Death". These three are the NORNEN. In the middle ages the are the personification of time. They stand for the past (Urd), the presence (Verdani) und the Future (Skuld).

@@OldSkuleNerd thats only my Interpretation. The Nornen also were called the destiny women. Their names stand for fate, "the becoming" and blame (ans everything the will come). I Think its not compltely wrong to say that these creatures represent Death.

This song brought me to cry. I like the way you explained it. Yes Rammstein is normaly much more then just a song in a Video. As a german guy i can tell you that this is an simple one. According to the Plato and Goethe (Faust) references they are most probably the Moirai or the Parcae and not the Nornes, but that might be like splitting hairs..

U hit the nail on the head when U said the beauty of Rammstein is that we all interpret different things from their songs and videos.... This is a beautiful song.... This is one of their best albums imo....

I think it is also interesting that the scene of childbirth is twice, when Till sings "so beautiful" and "the perfect moment". The moments you have with the people you love, that is what is most important in life.

I mean I was wowed by the song and video before. But your reaction is my new wow. The most insightful and inspiring. Wise.

I looooove that entire album. Just snagged it today. But been watching their teasers and music videos over the past few. This one hurt my feels. Edit: My take on this was; with the soldiers "We are as babes in the arms of time" regardless of how we've grown. And they are returned to the sands of time, whether or not you want to. With the farmers; The woman knew it was her time and she went peacefully- unlike the soldiers in conflict who very much wished to survive. Like you said, Time waits for no Man. Was a great video.

As a father of two doughters 3 and 6 this hit me hard in the "sick girl go in to deaths arms scene". Masterpeice!

Rammstein are like therapists for me: "Deutschland", because I'm german, "Mein Herz brennt" (reflexes my childhood), "Angst" (paralyzed me all my life), "Zeit" (pondering about it since my childhood). That's the reason I always listend to music all my life (classical music) and studied philosophy and theology to find answers to so many questions. Listening to Rammstein I feel freed Fram all the tight shackles to breath ...

That was a philosophical reaction. Wow! Like you reactions. If you ever come to Germany, let's discuss these issues further over a drink. ;)

See that is how I approach every Rammstein song I don’t want to see the English subtitles I want to hear it in German feel the emotion, experience what they created as it was…. Then after I go look at the lyrics translate… but for me I always want my first time to be just as they made it

My interpretation was, that the Kenobis were actually the babys. They and their mothers were blindfolded, because they dont 'know each others in the 'after/before life' they are just souls.

Such a beautiful summary. I lost my husband 16 months ago and he's still with me in my mind 💔

Another thing that came to my the babies being put back in to the mother to be born again on earth and also coming back in a sense they died on earth and are now being born in the other world and their birth or rebirth on earth is them already starting to die because as soon as your born your dying..your dying to live or as Rammstein put it "Wir sterben weiter bis wir leben" "We keep dying until we live" because in a sense what we perceive as dying is us actually being born again into the other world that's why the girl in the end seems happy when she dies because she knows that her death here means her being born over there..if that makes any Sense? This is art at its finest..a true Masterpiece!!

My interpretation and thought was time goes on like a continuous cycle and those rare occasions when we are truly happy of course we want time to stop. The showing of the sand and hourglass ⌛ time keeps going and them showing the scenes reversing to me meant a desire to go back in time either to the moment of birth and start our lives over or to before we're even born saying no i don't even want to be born i want to go back before i was even conscious of my own existence and mortality. Them being blindfolded to me was no one knows whats going to happen in the future we don't know what kind of lives these babies are going to have.

I think, The 3 Ghosts are the Ghosts of the Time.... After, present and before.... Or Yesterday, today and Tomorrow 😈🤘🏼

These "creatures" are the three nordic/germanic goddess the"Nornen", they stay for the Past - Presence - Future.

They've done beautiful music and images many times. But everything I've seen and heard from this album has been exquisite. Some of the older fans aren't happy with the direction I guess; some people just don't like change. But sometimes change is good. This is incredibly great. So was the reaction! 8:20 I'm sorry, but that's natural! In Germany, no one would censor the birth of a child and say that it is not suitable for children! Even in documentaries during the day or early evening one would not censor this. We are much more open and carefree in Germany and I think also in many European countries. But we also have nudist beaches and playgrounds right next to each other. ;-)

I'm American and I find birth to be the most beautiful event in life... the moment of a life's journey beginning which is part of the Songs lyrics right? BUT since the start of the country certain images or subjects have always been considered "immoral" and those are in the eyes of the beholder... so I would rather give people the option of if they want to see it TO GO TO THE ORIGINAL (PLUS IT GIVES RAMMSTEIN ANOTHER VIEW OF THE ORIGINAL AND THAT IS A GOOD THING!!!) Very good reaction as always. But, as always, we have to do a little work on American prudery. Censoring the birth of a child but having the largest porn industry in the world. This discrepancy is astounding. I don't understand how our American friends can survive at the doctor's naked, like God created them.
