Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

Welcome to Ewetopia Farms, where we document our daily sheep farming journey! In today's vlog, we focus on making necessary adjustments to our barn to ensure optimal conditions for our sheep. Thank you Lynn & Arnie for another great video!!! Remember you both are great people and farmers. The sheep are proof of this. They are all happy and healthy. About the rude and nasty comment let it go, these type of people don’t have anything better to do so they complain and try to make others feel bad. Any livestock whether it’s sheep, cows, pigs, horses, goats, etc. get sick at times and it’s hard but some recover and some don’t. You try your best to keep them all alive and healthy and it shows on how well the sheep are doing now. Ewetopia Fatms is a fantastic sheep farm and the sheep are very happy and healthy. And they have 2 fantastic people that look after them on a daily basis. Keep up the good work Lynn & Arnie. God bless you both with good health, positive vibes, and lots of love from a Ewetopia Farms Fan from the US. 🐑❤️🐏 🧑‍🌾❤👩‍🌾.

    Good morning Arnie and Lynn. Aww. Those are the cutest little sweaters. Perfect should you need one and so thoughtful. The boys are looking good. They started talking thinking hey grain is coming. 😂😂. The girls are pretty pregnant. I want to say my mouth fell open at the audacity of such a cruel statement. That is as far from the truth that it can get. That person must be defective in the brain. You guys always warm my heart with the treatment of all your animals. Sending a bandaid for that tear at your heart and it is filled with hugs. The rams were being little stinkers. You have to laugh. Goes to show boys are mischievous 😂😂😂. Alexander is a GREAT name for him. He is such a happy boy. Lambert is so handsome. The curtains sure help with temperature control. Arnie I love your sense of humor and I absolutely believe you have the best interests of your animals and your farm. And Lynn is such a sweetheart that the idea of such snide remarks is naughty. I look forward to every video and I consider myself an ewetopian. Blessings and big big hugs to you both. And yes good suppers for you both 😂😂. Have a good evening. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😉😉

    Lynn is very compassionate and she knows the steps to take when a Ram has stones and she was following the steps she was given. Once they reach a certain point it’s very hard to bring them back even with vets help. She was doing what she was told to do from past experience. If the whole barn was sick that would be a different story,but this Ram was the only sick Ram. Lynn is the only person I have seen ( including Arnie) that can walk up to the Rams and they come to her like kittens. They are not abused and if a vet was needed to save that Ram he would have been called, the call would be cheaper then letting a Ram die in pain and Lynn would never let her baby suffer.

    Yes, people seem to understand that losing a house pet is difficult, but I don't think they understand how much death farmers have to deal with all the time. I do think that they think we don't feel the same way about our farm animals as we do about our pets. And some may not care, but I can tell you honestly that we care as much about our livestock as we do about our house pets, which means every loss hurts.

I don't have to know anymore about the person to understand, no farmer would make such remarks! Veterinarians are animal doctors yes, not magicians with magic potions!!! Of course, we are still learning too (I don't believe that ever stops) and we make mistakes but our intentions are always to do what is best for the animals. Putting them down is a very difficult decision and one we don't take lightly. @@EwetopiaFarms Explaining yourself isn’t stooping. It’s educating. Maybe you aren’t educating that person, maybe they are just that stubborn, but you are educating other people who might be wondering if the criticism is valid. On pet fora people are always wondering if they should put their animals down now or not, if they waited too long or acted too soon. People respond compassionately because they know that whoever wrote in is agonizing about doing the right thing and the right thing is not always easy to know, or when known not always easy to do. (Also because pet fora are moderated and the asshole comments are deleted. Nobody is moderating KZread for you so you’re exposed to it all.) Worrying about livestock can be complicated by concerns about money. We all know people who neglect animal welfare to save money and justify it by saying the animals don’t mind. We can also overcorrect and worry that we might be thinking about money, and not do the right thing because the right thing would be cheaper and we’re concerned we’re being influenced by that. Outsiders don’t know us, so they project. My criticized pet-related decisions: my heart dog had always been bright, intelligent, lively and engaged. When my dogsitter saw her towards the end of her life, deaf, blind and demented, she criticized me sharply for letting her get into that state and not euthanizing her earlier. Thing is, **we** remembered who she used to be; **she** didn’t. She liked her food, she liked sitting outside and smelling the air, and she liked companionship. She had changed but that wasn’t a reason to put her down. I didn’t make that decision until she developed a painful condition and then we said goodbye the next day. More recently one of my dogs probably developed one of three chronic conditions that could theoretically be treated. The emergency vet wanted me to take her to a hospital for further testing. I indicated to the emergency vet that I didn’t want a diagnosis; all I wanted was 24 hours of comfort meds because I was going to euthanize her. The vet was very uncomfortable because there were treatments for all the conditions. Interestingly, the vet didn’t talk to me about money. I had just dropped 7.5% of my total minuscule annual pre-tax income (the vet bill was not exorbitant, about what I expected and I do not begrudge it) on those initial tests and I wasn’t about to spend another 7.5% on more testing in order to expensively treat an ongoing chronically painful condition. The vet didn’t want to talk about quality of life, life expectancy or the acceptability of treatment to the patient. Just, whatever-it-is can be treated and you are negligent for going straight to euthanasia. I feel no guilt. My sister the doctor says that she would have considered making the same decision for her dog and that I was being suitably pragmatic. My own vet thought that the médical finding was a sufficient reason on its own to justify euthanasia and didn’t ask me to justify myself further. But the emergency vet was unhappy with me. People don’t know. Even when they mean well they don’t know, and their criticism is often misplaced. And sometimes we’re the ones who don’t know, so we run our difficult decisions by objective third parties. That’s how I really judge people’s decisions. Not on how much they say they love their sheep (or whatever) because any idiot or asshole can (say they) love their sheep. I judge them on whether they are cross-checking themselves. Which you were, by calling your vet; and which is also why criticism stung so hard.

  • @alisoncummins2726

    @alisoncummins2726

    The other way I judge: how does the animals’ standard of living compare to the owner’s/farmer’s? If you are well-off but you deny your animals space to walk around-no extra comfort room in confinement-I judge you. If you are a struggling farmer chopping wood to heat your home and trying to save money to get a new coverall… yeah, sure your sheep would like more room but you’re meeting legal standards and we’d all like more something. No judgement there. I think I know you well enough to say that you guys meet all my standards. (Not that you need to justify yourselves to me!!! You absolutely do not. Just sharing how I think.)

    Lynn, I’m glad the lamb sweaters made it in good order-even if they were delivered in the fake mailbox, lol! The post guy said it would take 6 days to go across the country so they likely arrived within a day or two of you finding them. 😊 Arnie, it’s downright sad when people want to be mean and vicious for no reason. I truly don’t understand the logic behind that. I know it’s hard but please, please, you and Lynn, do not give them another thought. They’re just not worth it. 😕 The 2 rams vying for attention from the buyer were adorable! They are a testament to the kindness you both give all your animals. 💚🐑

    The ignorant comments are part of the problem with people being so disconnected with their food. I had a small channel but I've shut my channel down because of comments about my rabbits. The worst one was somebody suggesting that the reason I keep rabbits in cages is as coyote bait. No, the cages are there to keep them safe from things like coyotes. I, for one, think you're sheep look fantastic. If I'm ever able to have sheep again, your system is what I'll be emulating. Us viewers that have some common sense and common curtesy will be here cheering you on.

    THAT MY FRIENDS IS TAKING THE HIGH ROAD…what you say does make an impact. So why not make it for the greater good. God knows this world needs more greatness 🤍. I usually watch as soon as the videos come out and very rarely see the comments, but if I’d seen the comment mentioned in this video I’d have had a word or a bunch to say to this uninformed person. It’s very easy to sit your ass behind a keyboard and judge someone else without walking in their shoes. In my world…until you can walk in their said shoes, you keep your mouth shut. Arnie you did an excellent job of bringing light onto the situation. But you should have never had to defend our Lynn that has a heart the size of Texas ( I was born in Texas and it’s a big state so I’ll use that as an example) as anyone that watches this channel knows. It’s a good thing in the scope of things, with 80 thousand subscribers, only one has the balls to criticize my favorite channel.
