RAM 1500 Muffler Delete Sound Review (IT'S LOUD..) | 5.7 HEMI Coming Alive!

Today we are looking at my RAM 1500 with the 5.7 Hemi Muffler Delete and what it sounds like compared to the stock factory muffler. It has a very loud rumble and just bring this 5.7 Hemi alive. The sound is awesome and aggressive and if that's something you want this is a great cheap option. Only downside about RAM 1500 muffler delete is the highway drone which can be pretty uncomfortable at times

The only reason I ended up taking this muffler delete pipe off was because of the highway driving I was doing and because I was pulling a trailer across the country. I really enjoyed it. I might put it back on the truck I might not.
The other great thing about this option is how easy it is to install. there are 3 clamps to loosen off and with a little elbow grease you can removed the old muffler and install your new muffler delete pipe. no baffles to go wrong either because its just a nice straight through pipe.
Lastly there is a little sweet spot around 95km/h where there is almost no drone and the truck is pretty silent. But once to get back on the throttle the old Hemi snaps back to life and gives you a good thump deep into your chest. always makes me smile. my gas mileage went way down because I was just always on the throttle!

You my want to try doing electrical cutout valve between the last O2 sensor after the cat when it's the 3" pipe and before the muffler I did that on my2012 it sounds real good and you can always change it back-and-forth using the Garage opener switches

one day I think that's the plan. I mean I do like the noise coming out the rear when I had the muffler delete on but if it sounds awesome then who cares!
I installed an electronic control valve form quick time performance. It doesn't have to be that brand, but having that control valve is in my opinion GOLDEN! I use the garage buttons to open and close because I can't stand the droning hours on end when doing long road trips so it's golden to be able to just open and close it for comfort, and for the vehicle verification/inspection that it has to pass or for whatever other reasons you want to have the stock peace and quiet. But I think the electric control valve setup is louder, because it's installed... Well, pretty much just after the turndown. So when you have it open, you're basically on one straight pipe. No mufflers, no catalytic converters, nothing. It's pretty... Loud.

that must be loud! so where do you install this cut out? before the cats ? I've always wanted something like this but always thought it was more of luxury item lol. how much money this option run you?

@@TheGettyAdventures I did the install myself. The parts were 500 USD at the time but with sipping and duty it probably ended up being like 650 for me. Price today for the cutout, remote option and turndown is 513 USD if you decide to go with quick time performance (the remote control and turndown are both options so you can get away with 395 USD). Like I said, you can if you want go with an option as cheap as getting it from wish.com for... I think that would be a third of the price, if even that. Look up quick time performance and then look at what other options there are. I also recommend checking out the youtube channel boostedmotorsports (try searching for "boostedmotorsports cutout" here on youtube), he did a video a couple of years ago that shows EXACTLY how the install is done, which inspired me to do the install myself. If you end up doing this, I hope you will do a video on it :)

These trucks with muffler deletes does it make ANY difference what brand is used or if a muffler shop cuts and welds in some pipe?
Did you had the eco mode on? If so that’s why it drones bad on highway
How much drone is there at cruising speeds?
The highway would get tiring for me. Back in my 20's I'd simply crank the music now I appreciate quiet LOL Truck sounds good at idle though I must say. Cheers

Same man same lol I appreciate the quietness in the morning and long drives after owning nothing but straight pipe cars and trucks.
It’s hard to grasp how loud mufflers (like the Carven) and deletes really are. My Carven Progressive sounded like a damn Hellcat on cold start when I first installed it. It has died down a little since then. Awesome sound bud🤙🏻

that's originally why I did make a video about the sound just because its hard to understand how loud something really is. but ya start up on these trucks always seems to be nice and loud lol
I deleted mine 3 years ago on my 2014. Sounds amazing. Just need an ‘eco mode’ delete now

You can just up shit to manuall shift set it at whatever gear and it will not go in 4cylinder mode
