my dad helped take care of some of the best standard breeds at almahurst. including Ralph Hanover and trim the tree.

Totally agree..loved Ralph and he was the best of his crop, but owners..etc..kept him under wraps..I sort of respect Aussie racing, they race their champs on a bit later, bred them too offseason, bring them back to take on all comers..think about it..next few years..would have been nice..Ralph vs. Cam fella, vs. On the Road again, vs Falcon Seelster, vs. Nihilator..etc..

So what stallions of consequence raced in the 1983 Little Brown Jug?? Name them, harness racing Einstein!!!

Absolutely no stallions of consequence emerged from this relatively unimportant (historically) Little Brown Jug...Lana Lobell paid $8 million in 1982 dollars for Fortune Teller, and Almahurst a similar amount for Ralph Hanover - who seemingly had all the credentials - and was a spectacular bust. Weeks after this Yonkers tried to put together a three way match race with Cam Fella & It's Fritz but the Ralph people refused to race older horses and he was retired w/o ever facing outside his crop.
