Manchester United interim boss Ralf Rangnick has dismissed criticism from Jesse Lingard's brother after he failed to give the midfielder an Old Trafford farewell against Brentford.
The United interim boss gave Juan Mata and Phil Jones, expected to leave this summer, one last appearance in front of the home crowd in Monday's final home match of the season.

It's embarrassing that Ralf has to answer questions like these.. only at man united that players get so much importance.. no one even once mentioned the performances of Matic and Mata.. because someone didn't get picked off the bench as a sub and needed all the attention thereby.. absolutely pathetic..

They're on huge weekly salaries...none of them deserved one last 'hoorah' at Old Trafford as they have been rewarded for their services in a more than ample way....time to give the kids a run.
When Jesse rumoured to Scholes how there is mess in the dressing room.. was Scholes part of the coaching staff? He was even lucky to be on the bench. Other serious manager like Jose couldn't allow him to appear anywhere in the remaining games
Lingards nearly 30 but still acts 14,what's he actually done for Man U his tenure there has been a decade of failure.
Why don’t he leave a message on MUTV. I’m with Ralph on this one
No players are bigger than the team. It's up to Ralf or any manager to pick the players he feel ready & suited to play against opponent. It's funny that Lingard forced Ralf to play him just so he can say goodbye to fans at Old Trafford. Even posted a picture showed him at the club since 8 yrs old. Yeah you're almost 30 yrs old now, and what have you become now? Lingardinho? Lingaradona?
Lingard's biggest mistake last season was trusting Ole that he'll get time... and to blame it on Ralf is one of the main reasons why the dressing room and the team morale is weak. Whether it was Jesse's Brother or Lingard himself...He is speaking on behalf of Lingard who cannot speak because he's under contract... He has been in the club for a long time he should have left in a good note but I don't think it will work that way... Good luck to him.
This man is Rationality personified
Its just another example of where this club has shifted towards, its not just about society or social media in general. What his brother did was not loyalty it was utter ignorance, it will only be damaging to his career moving forward. Lingard has done nothing but undermine our managers, not just Rangnick, ‘that’ West Ham post, also posting that he’s in the Newcastle stadium, he’s leaked information out, he’s ratted on the rest of the squad (as per the Scholes interview a week or two ago), he’s also leaked player opinions out over players not trusting Rangnick’s style of play and not wanting to play to it… he has single handedly been a serious damaging factor for Manchester United the last few years especially and he has the AUDACITY to demand a send-off? Who does he think he is!? That post on Twitter he made when he was 5/6 in the academy… back when he was being taught by Scholes, Keano, Van Nistelrooy, Cristiano, TRUE GREATS OF THE CLUB who cemented the clubs legendary status, and he thinks after a few domestic trophies, a few important goals, and a generally lacklustre/inconsistent career at United that he ‘deserves’ a legends send off… it’s bafflingly arrogant from him, and his brother shouldn’t even be talking.
