Actually, I think you’re referring to season 8. From season 9 till the end of the show, you can tell that the writers ran out of ideas. In fact, sometimes I wish that in the beginning of season 9, instead of what we got, things would basically go back to what they were in the beginning of the show. In other words, Penny would break up with Leonard again and realise that they cannot become a couple, meaning that they would just remain as friends, Amy and Emily would break up with Sheldon and Raj and are never seen again, and Bernadette would divorce Howard and is also never seen again. In addition, Penny would go back to waitressing and acting, Raj’s selective mutism returns, Howard returns to his womanising ways, and Sheldon returns to string theory. In conclusion, all 5 original cast members understand that things are not meant to change for them and that not everything in life changes.

@@MrGenexxx It was less of a drop in quality and more of a shift. The show kinda abandonded the original concept and became less and less nerdy. As in, it was constantly declared how "nerdy" the boys are, but usually it was a very soft nerdism. Stuff like watching the new Star Wars movie on release day for example suddenly was "soooooo nerdy". They were just slightly more enthusiastic about very mainstream-y things like Marvel, Star Wars or even DnD. Some people took offense to that, but often enough still stuck around for the entirety of the show, so it can't be that bad

Yeah the show became more focused on equal screen time and threw out entertaining. Too focused on relationships rather than comedy. I'd say it dropped before season 8

I think what raj said to yo her was fine. Penguins are adorable, and its normal for people/women to feel bad about themselves after a divorce. He was saying it's not her that's the problem and there's nothing wrong with her Everyone knows hes socially awkward so they should be able to work out that he's trying to be nice.

​@@johndorian473in this case there was no forced diversity, I think you're way off base. Raj fit right in because a lot of East Indians are in STEM, that aint a stereotype it's very real. I never once watched the show and thought 'why is Raj a part of this cast?' It just made sense.
