Re: Your comments about Emily “behind every great woman is..... another great woman (and sometimes a bloke).” Without the support of others, often in the background and unseen - especially with selective editing, the final results are difficult to achieve when “life” gets in the way. We all know that vans, especially a self build, are never ever truly finished, but congratulations to you both on your hard work so far - looking forward to the full van remodel series (hopefully only kidding!)

Thank you Lou I’ve been looking at different ways to put a raised floor in our ducato build, as ever I was over thinking and complicating the task. Hats off to you ( although I’m sure I yours will remain firmly in situ 👌) straight forward now looking forward to it. Just finished binge watching the whole building series and loved it. At one point we contemplated building our own teardrop caravan, but had to back out of the idea because no space to build it and too busy lives with two teens, but so glad to see others taking on such a project. We still really love and enjoy our purchased teardrop, but there is something very special about something you created yourself. Well done on the videos, even the early crappy ones were great to watch. 😊

Put a heatproof shield between the heater and wood. They're quite thin and can get them from any DIY store

Wise decision on the diesel heater, you even got the fancy and expensive Planar (old)/Autotherm (new), will serve you well! Don't get worried of sooting up, my cheap chinese heater burns itself clean before shutting down, that is why you can only shut it down by the control unit and not by a switch. We all know what Emily does in the background off camera, running the life of you both with everything not van stuff related things! Huge thanks especially for her! I'm looking out for the travel vids, even if you go out for a weekend before the bigger trips! Thx a lot! :-D

you wont have any issues at all with the pipe being where its is . ours in in a pretty similar place in the t4 and its been in 12 months with no issues, NOTHING WRONG WITH EATING ALL THE MINI ROLLS . i feel your pain and we think your both great but big up to Emily

Just make sure when installing those diesel heaters you can gain easy access to it. They often soot up and need cleaning. The glow plugs often need replacing etc. The case doesnt get that hot but of course the pipe does. Wood is ok just make sure no plastic close the heat duct. Make sure the main power is always ON via a fuse and can not be accidentally switched off when its running! If you ever cut the power when its on the fan will stop and the entire unit will literally melt......very expensive mistake.

I've just bought a LWB minibus to convert and obviously ended up down the KZread rabbit hole of conversion and self build videos for the past 5 weeks. Yours was by far the most entertaining though.
