There is not much known of this song... but we do know, however, that the intro song is performed by Swedish artist Mariam Wallentin whose other-worldly vocal qualities are unmistakable. The main score for Raised by Wolves is composed by Ben Frost who has worked with Miriam Wallentin before on the series, Fortitude, in which she sings a ghostly rendition of Soft Cell’s Tainted Love.

Lyrics: “The door that finally opens With light flooding in Spilling out on the floor The core that never was Now it will be The bones of what was there before Every step, every beat Every thought, every breath, Everything is longing Pulling you from the sky Just like love will do. Pulling you from the ground Just like love will do.”

The graphic of the intro and the necromancer aspect itself, are a tribute to Metropolis (1927) first android's movie in the story...i love that!!!

I think that’s why it’s haunting it’s so ethereal and the visuals are so destructive, the combination of the two is like the cherry on top.

This intro is a masterpiece in short storytelling. From the nuclear holocaust to the planetary decay/disaster to the escape via wormholes/portals into interstellar space.. just brilliant! Explains the entire prologue within 58 seconds. Done in brilliant VHS style film grain. There are so many tiny details in this if you care to notice Also, thanks for selecting this version of the intro to loop and share. Appreciate it. This has the better version + sync of the song along with a slightly enhanced and better background score from Ben Frost. The first few episodes have a slightly different version. This sounds better imo. Such a beautiful song yet accompanied with a tragic score in the back that just combines perfectly together to highlight the theme of global annihilation of the story. Amazing! This and the Far Cry 6 Intro Trailer have been the best Intros with incredible music I have seen in a very long time

I usually skip openings for shows but I actually find it calming to watch and listening to the opening. It helps me get into the mood of the show because in way the song reflects the themes of the show. This song is perfectly captured the "feel" of Raised by Wolves.

I do not know anything about this series. But it is gutwrenching and heartbreaking to think about what monstrous weapons of mass destruction the human race decided should exist. That we do everything in our power to work towards the depletion of our natural ressources and scorching the face of this unique blue dot in a vast nothingness. Thats what i get from a 30 Second song, at 1pm on youtube. Sleep well, fellow humans.

Everything about the show seems like it was meticulously selected, from the casting to this intro. It fits in perfectly with the entire tone of the series and captures a real sense of desperation with it's haunting minimalist visuals somehow conveying more than any flashy and bright sequence could achieve. Massively impressed that producers are still taking risks with new and thought provoking ideas rather than traversing the well trodden path of tween dramas like Pretty Little Liars and Bridgerton.

Just one of the most beautiful and mesmerising opening sequences I've ever seen,,even beats my last favourite credits, True Detective, season 1 by a considerable mile... such a perfect combo of haunting visuals and song... was a bit disappointed overall about the series....not his finest work sadly.

En 'light' enment.. The failing of a deeply entrenched paradigm.. the realization of everything being retarded by our actions and perceptions. and the actualization of all their and our true potential! Love - to follow the Laws (according to all the sciences) Statutes ( of ones peoples/tribe) and Commandments (...of all enlightened men) Generation after Generation... and all this, you will achieve! Written by a true Israelite.. (one who puts science, the truth of all things) before faith or belief.

My interpretation of this visuals are as follows. It begins with a pair of brilliant and beautiful high-altitude airburst fusion weapons detonating high above the cloud layer, from their unconventional appearance compared to the images of nuclear tests we are typically used to seeing it can only be assumed that these weapons are an order of magnitude more powerful and devastating than any contemporary weapon of mass destruction we can comprehend. In the next scene we see two radio telescopes, perhaps representing science and progress, as they are utterly obliterated by the initial shockwave and then the receeding pressure wave of the vacuum created by the fusion strikes much like the classic atomic testing footage of the trees being blasted first in one direction and then sucked back in the opposite. Following this is the collapsing superstructure of a silhouetted bridge, burning rubble in the foreground as a chaotic aerial battle between missiles and interceptors as burning strike craft fall from the sky. Next we catch a glimpse of the Necromancer's power being unleased amid devastated city skyscrapers perhaps cleansing what few survivors it encounters. Following this are offered an image of twin obelisks emitting some sort of pulsing signal, perhaps they are the control towers or 'lighthouses' for the two craft we see breaking for orbit, maybe they act as some sort of wormhole detection and guidance for the vessels. A grainy VHS-quality orbital starmap hints a possible far-off destination. I wonder as the title appears we are not seeing the Atheist or Mithraic vessel entering a wormhole nearby one of the solar system's outer planets like Neptune and exiting out the otherside to a wholly alien system and Kepler-22b.
