I’m an oddball… I’m a cold weather type, I prefer cold dampness to hot humidity, I prefer snow and rain to hot weather, I love temperate rainforests, my absolute dream is to live southwest Alaska. Watching your videos fills me with joy and causes me to dream about Alaska! Love your videos and your insight as an Alaskan resident, very helpful to know and understand more about the Last Frontier state!

I taught my son how to make our traditional French toast with One egg per slice and one for the bowl, a splash of milk, Vanilla and cinnamon. Butter in the pan. I like my French toast cooked but with a soft middle. Heavenly.

We grew up putting butter and white sugar on our French Toast.

We get between 55-85 inches of rain in the amoky mountains of NC/TN. Yeah- it’s a rainforest. Loved your video and meals and crafts. Your parents are sweet to be so involved and come hang out and do so much. You’re blessed to have them. Keep making those memories!

We have a worse problem with campsites also. Not enough and you need to book a year or more in advance . It’s a zoo!

They won’t let you bring your own firewood to campgrounds in the smoky mountains. You have to purchase wood with a tag in it and it’s like $10 for 5-6 pieces.

I'm blown away at how creative and amazing pictures they are making. Wow. I'd love to have all of them in my garden. What a fun idea. Thanks this will be great. Your adorable little Everett reminds me of my little adorable grandson.

I recently went to Atlanta. Visited the Georgia Aquarium. There was an exhibition of an Alaskan tide pool and it had an octopus in it.

You visited my city. If you should come again, make plans to visit the Chattanooga, Tennessee aquarium. I like it much better than Atlanta's. Chattanooga is on the GA/TN border and is about 120 miles away. Well worth the visit. And you must plan to see the Coca Cola museum in Atlanta on your next trip. They have cola for you to try from around the world!

Seeing Hunter and your brother next to each other really shows how much he favors your family looks wise. The camping trip looked really cozy 😊 thinking about buying a small motor home for me and my husband when we get older

I love visiting the Sealife Center whenever we're in Seward. We usually stop to eat at Ray's Waterfront or the Chinese restaurant not far from the Sealife Center.

I have fond memories when our family went camping every summer and your boys will always remember the great times they had camping with family in Alaska!!🤩

Thank you for sharing. I love your attitude about the weather. Some people would fuss and whine about it. You set a good example for your kids. The waterfall park was absolutely beautiful! I am definitely going to make banana boats, yummy. My family loves to camp in our camper too. My husband always takes along our crockpot, and he makes pulled pork for sandwiches. So easy to throw it in the pot in the morning, and have a nice meal in the evening. One of our daughters loves to make big breakfasts like you all had. Eating well is one of the best parts of camping! 😁

If its any consolation it's rainy and drizzly, with sparse sun in the UK too.

Your RV video was great and very informative 🙂 So fun to see talented kids enjoying crafts together. My friends and I did rock art when we were younger. We also painted shells or flat pieces of wood/bark. Kept some, gifted some and the rest were placed in random spots to be found. We did floss art and friendship bracelets too. Most of my floss work these days includes cross-stitch or making tzitzits: ritual fringes or tassels worn by observant Torah followers. The numerical value, knots and strings symbolize the 613 commandments in the Torah 😊 Glad to hear Hunter is spending time with the men he loves doing something he loves... great memories. Nice catch gentleman. It's great that there's a place to breakdown and freeze your catch so it stays fresh for the ride home 🎣 Mmmm... bread in dipping oil. I make my own concoctions, and I also use recipes included in an oil dipping kit that I like: Gourmet Oil Dipping Kit created by Julie Pederson, found at Uncommon Goods online... a little pricey, but delicious 🤤 Camping is an open invitation to chill, relax, explore and find peace 🏕️ The Alaska Sealife Center looks like so much fun... I'd love to visit. I love seeing and learning about the flora and fauna around me. Touch tanks are cool... getting up close with creatures you may never otherwise see nor touch. Everett's age and curious mind are touching 🦦 Rainy Days that include board and card games, arts and crafts, movies, reading a book or taking a nap are never wasted 📚 It's amazing what you can find while hiking, whether the trail is new or old, you'll always find something new to enjoy, learn from, be awed by, etc. The sights and sounds of forests and waterways are never dull. You need to get yourself a truffle hunting dog so you can go in search of the pricey fungi. Did you know that skunk cabbage roots were used by indigenous people for medicinal purposes? Used for respiratory issues, fungal treatment, coughs, headaches, pain or topical bleeding. They typically boiled or roasted it which breaks down the compounds that make it toxic. It can cause nausea, vomiting, painful swelling or burning of mouth and tongue. Use at your own risk, but make sure you boil the root several times in different batches of clean water ☣️ So glad you and Mark take time to check in on each other when apart. When my Mark is away on an excursion without cell service, he always tries to make a trip into the nearest town at least once during his trip just to make sure all is well 😍 My Uncle Mike (RIP) used to craft walking sticks: carve, twist, stain, etc. I have one of his creations. I also inherited the walking stick a Marine friend of my Dad's made for him, complete with an Eagle head topper. Clean that stick up Everett and make your own 🦅 Travel traditions, like your ice cream tradition, are so fun. We like to visit different local shops for goodies wherever we go. In Oklahoma we always stop at Braums for a burger, fries and ice cream 🍨 Final day leftover smorgasbords are the best. We have 2 or 3 group meals during Sukkot. On the last night, the meal organizers put out all the leftovers from group meals and everyone else adds in their leftovers or unused food and drinks. Every year it's both different and full of fan favorites 🍲 Everett will forevermore be hailed as the Double Chickenator King 👑 Your kids are so awesome and talented. They make me yearn for my days of skateboarding and bike riding 🚴🏼‍♀️ Next time someone ask if I'm awake or able to move, I'm going to say "yes, but my feet are unconscious" 😏 Rain or Shine, great memories are made and adventures are had 🧭 I'm going to have to look into getting that mini smoothie blender. It'd make for easier trip packing, instead of bringing my full-size Ninja 🥤 Hi Miss Luna. I've missed you beautiful... so has Ash. I believe he's a bit smitten. Here in the uk, our weather kind of mirrors yours, we are not following the extreme heat waves hitting lots of parts of the world, prayers and thoughts to them. But sometimes I understand you just need to feel sun on your face.

Another treat similar to the banana boats are using waffle cones and then filling them with marshmallows, chocolate and with or without fruit. You wrap them in foil and put on the fire to melt all of the goodness. So yummy!

So glad you had a great trip despite the weather. Your positive attitude about the conditions is lovely. I enjoy watching your videos and your adventures, but am glad to have learned that I don't ever want to go there. I'm allergic to rain and especially the cold; having no sun would be so depressing for me. On your trip I would have been beyond miserable. Though I grew up in Pacific Northwest , western Washington state, I left 47 years ago because of the constant rain and settled in South Texas, where rain is a lovely treat.

I love rainy, overcast days, but, of course, not when camping. This was a fun video watching the family have such a great time together. I would have been with the kiddos watching Tom & Jerry. Great family memories! The salmon looks great. I buy salmon once or twice a month but fishing or not fishing is done here for other fish. We have season for mackerel (atulai), (ee) small fish and manahak is a tiny fish we fry up or pickle. Then we have ocean fishing for tuna and marlin..delicious. it was so nice to see you and your family enjoying camping. Thanks for sharing. Hafa adai and love from the island of Guam 🌴❤🌴

We called French toast eggy bread in our house, we eat it with tomato sauce or as you would call it ketchup

Looks like a fun camping trip we use to camp a lot when our children were little with all my sisters and their kids was so much fun! miss that. Now a a days we go cruising and Disney world lots of fun too🙂i like syrup and cinnamon on my French toast :-)

That was fun!! Thank you for taking us along!! I don't know Lauren...you said this won't make you run out and buy one but maybe think about it. You and your family love to camp and when not in use, you can always rent it out as part of the air B&B! Not for people to stay on your property but to take out. Maybe just enough to help pay for it! Really as an investment that will be 100% families at the end. So much you could provide too that the rental companies don't also to personalize it a little. Just a thought😉. With all your travel videos I just think you have a REALLY good head for this type of thing. The planning is always the hardest but once a system falls into place it is not so much "work" anymore.
