I started sewing a few months ago ... and I'm 62, as you said : never too old to learn
Simply love everything you sew Katrina im a lefty too that makes it much easier for me❤❤❤❤❤
That made a pretty cushion/pillow. Your blooper had my husband laughing. He never watches with me, but today he did. So funny. Glad that was left in the video. I loved the fillet and your flanged border. Awesome job as always.

Very good tutorial on star points. Thank you.
wow what a beautiful pillow case ❤️
Love the fabrics and the way they’ve been combined to make that cushion. You’re the best Katrina! You made me chuckle when you were trying to remove the freezer paper. We’ve all been there, but not usually on camera 😂
I love your style of teaching and your easy manner. Thanks so very much! Lovely quilt ideas. And great accent throw pillow!
Absolutely beautiful! This is going on my to do list! Thank you so much for your wonderful teaching!
Thank you for sharing this lovely block. I love your colour scheme. Loved the blooper shows we are all human.😂❤❤
I agree with th other commenters. This is a beautiful block. I also love the fabrics you've chosen. ❤😊
😊 This is really beautiful. It looks so complicated, but you demonstrate and explain very well, so i think I could do this. I love the colors you've chosen. Thank you for sharing this cleverly done block, with us. Have a blessed day.👍🏻💡❤️🧵🪡✂️🍀☺️
I love you don't sit on the sewing machine wasting time. We all know how to use the machine. Thank you the pillow is gorgeous.
Forgot to say, before you cut the triangles, STARCH YOUR FABRIC. It greatly reduces the stretch on the bias edges
What a pretty block, and I love those fabrics. Thanks for showing the different ways to get the star and points. 😊
Thank you so much for another beautiful, and fairly easy, block. I appreciate your videos, Katrina. Thanks so much.
So pretty, thank you for sharing ❤
Could you have used the Tri-Rec Ruler for the triangle in the square unit?

I believe so! As long as it measures the same as Katrina stated.
Thank you for the demonstration on how to make the star point units. Now I’m off to the races!
Love the colors you choose and the fabric. You make it sound easy to do. ❤
That's gorgeous!!!
I'm not much of a star block person but I love the look of that. I wish you would put the dimensions of the components in writing though.
🙏 A beauty!🤗
Very nice. This goes on my to do list. So enjoy your tutorials!! Always look forward to them. Thank you
I made this block today, thank you for a great tutorial. As a beginner could i ask if you have a video or instructions on how to make the complete cushion, Id really like to give it a go but would need your expert instruction. Many thanks.
Très joli bloc ou coussin. Merci. Régine 🇫🇷
Could you show how to make the Oxford flap? many thanks
Love it! How did you make the tiny white strip around the block? Sew cute!

Hi Chrissy, We dont have a tutorial for this part, but it will be a similar technique to this video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/goCL1cuxiperc7w.html
Couldn't you just put cream fabric right sides together & cut once for the same mirrored effect? Pretty block! Never heard it called the railroad star, but like that. Thank you
lovely cushion ! how do you do the quilted edge?
This is a lovely block. What is the fabric line you used?

We believe Katrina used old fabric for this, but it looks like it might have been designed by 3 Sisters. Cranberries and Cream is a very similar range.

@@SewingStudio Thanks a lot.
We all know what the bleep was for! LOL
How do you make the triangle? You don’t show that. You just say you cut it. For those of us who don’t know how, it would be helpful to see.

Hello, Sorry it might not be clear on how to make the red triangle in the tutorial. Around 05:00 Katrina talks about how she made the template for the triangle. Simply measure a 4¾" square, find your centre point at the top and draw two diagonal lines from that point down to the bottom two corners, then cut on the line. Hope that makes better sense.
