When Rail opened for Van Halen in Edmonton, Canada, it was a perfect night, and they kicked the shit outta Dave and the boys that night.. Such amazing high energy..!!! We wouldn't let them go, and they ended up playing two encores that night. Unheard of for an opening act. A few years later, we saw them again when they opened for 3 Dog Night. Found a backstage pass on the floor, so got to meet them. Had breakfast with them the next day and had an awesome talk about music. Got my Rail cassette signed by everyone, too. Still listen to it occaisionally. Good times..

Just saw these guys at the Muckleshoot Casino in Auburn last week and they still sound incredible! OMG it took me back and I get teary eyed but their songs are so good and their execution was just spectacular. Rail fan for life here :-)

I was watching Rail way back in North Idaho, and Spokane. They were THE BAND. as a drummer, Kelly was my big inspiration, and I watched him intently. Rock on Rail!!

One of the best live bands I have ever seen to this day! Rick and Andy were probably the most under appreciated guitar duo of the 80s. I have seen them so many times at the Skate King shows, college shows etc. These guys were one of my inspirations for working in the music industry. In fact, their sound guy Mike Miller was one of my mentors when I first started as a sound engineer 20 years ago! You guys are all great!

Rail rocked Spokane and Idaho like no other ,The Black Dog knows.Met Terry at a music shop in Spokane before their Show Rock Off ,down to earth dude.

From Spokane, seen so many time and every show was amazing. Same time as Queesryche and sad they were not able to tour with QR and taking themon the ride.

I was a kid in spokane 77-82. I remember Hello being played on KEZE. HAvent heard it in 38 years but still knew every word

Rail played at Tyee Jr High in June 82 right around this same time. It was the best.... thank you for sharing. Heart, Rail, Metal Church, QR were all from the Eastside. Anyone go to battle of the bands at the Crossroads Skating rink 81-83? That rink, OG EasyStreet Records Crossroads, and a Master Luthier named Mike Lull.. prob a 2 mile radius combined with the above artists was the epicenter of "grunge". Grunge is Bellevue's fault.

Queensryche? The QR EP came out in 1983, and was galaxies beyond anything Rail ever created.

That is a little personal so I will say, I live in the area of Oregon that you speak of.

I just got 2 records of RAIL today ... had One for a long while ... Eh .. not Bad .. Nothing I'd Spin a lot ....
