I like that there is going to be competition in the OL. I think ever since we cleaned house by moving on from Hudson, Jackson and others to free up cap space for Carr, our OL has had very little competition since. We’ve had guys who were not anywhere near a pro bowl level keeping jobs with nobody in behind them to compete. I’m excited to see where this goes.

They didn't move cap space for Hudson way over payed he played 1 season and retired and Jackson also a average guard over payed also

Definitely it felt like the talent was scrapping by the last 2-3 seasons, oddly enough we had the league leader in rushing, but we finally have some quality depth at the line, may just keep 8-9 lineman on the roster.

Sadly thats what happens to all teams who pay big on QB. When one guy takes almost 50% or more of the cap other positions suffer, and you better have a GM that can draft or it will be hunting on the cheap.

It’s day one and it’s only rookies out there we will see during training camp where things really stand regarding positions but that versatility for powers is great next to Kolton would be insane

i wouldnt worry about parham yet. JPJ is probably just learning both guard spots. And since its only rookies and qbs, i doubt any of this is permanent.

@@seven7seven999 I could see Peat taking over for Parham at RG also. Parham really gets pushed around by stud DTs. James does too for that matter, but coaching staffs seems to like him since he keeps signing contracts. As soon as his contract is up he will walk and JPJ will slide over.

Parham has always been a guy with "handedness" where he's been better at the right side of the line than the left. Glad to see the new coaching staff potentially considering moving him back to the right

You could be right. Parham just needs to get bigger and stronger. He gets pushed around too often

Minshew is in a perfect situation. AOC has his opportunity. Kudos to Pierce for being a stand up coach and backing the youngster. It sets a great tone for the locker room

Bowers is a hands catcher. Try finding a play where he catches the ball with his body - good luck! Get him with Davante for a bit and he'll be even better. He's gonna need practice with the OL, WR's, RB's as well as the TE's. He's literally gonna be the busiest man in football.

AP and TELESCO both all off-season talked up Munford Munford had a 74% pff grade 9 % less than miller. He's only now in 3rd year. He doesn't know what the FCK he's talking about about. Eikenberg reminds me a lot of Zach Thomas, Dolphins legend LB.

Several weeks back I expressed concern of potentially having a rookie RG next to Munford, as it seemed it was a draft need. That’s not much experience on that side, so it’s logical to move Parham to RG. AP stated Peat was staying on the left, so that leaves Glaze, Whitehair, and Parham to seize RG spot.

Really like this draft. Players like Taylor and Eichenburg have legitimate shots at being starters for the Raiders next year. Taking over for Epps and Diablo. That allow the Raiders to move on from those two players and not sign them to extensions. It's how a team is built, through the draft and not free agency. Other teams sign them and we get comp picks on day three and draft players to hopefully have a role on the team in 2 or 3 years Still feel this team is another solid draft from being a playoff team. Our schedule will be tougher this year than last year, so while the team improved, the record may not show it. Agree with Parham, he might not be what Telesco is looking for and Coull be traded in training camp for a team looking for a guard.

My projection for starting OL Miller -Peat -James -Powers -Munford

In the glory days, the Raiders ran the ball behind their best studs on the left side. I am talking about Hall of fame players, Center Jim Otto, Guard Gene Upshaw and Tackle Art Shell. Would not be mad if history repeats itself.

They all need a little coaching up and could really turn out to be diamonds in the rough in a year or two or three? A lot of hope on JPJ. Getting anxious

I don’t believe the coaches want two rookies side by side on the line. Which may be why JPJ is on the left, glaze is RT.

It’s also possible they’re not that high on Parham. I know I haven’t been. He and James both get bullied around a lot inside and just can’t stand with the bigger Tackles in the league and they get trucked. TT has mentioned that Mumford might get kicked inside to the RG position and not RT. Maybe Glaze or Pete fills in here or some of the other guys on the depth chart? Having JPJ at LG and Mumford at RG gives us some size and strength at the point of attack which is where it should be. I think James time with the Raiders is coming to an end soon also. He’s not “their guy” either.. be Interesting to see how it unfolds..

This is very early to be jumping to conclusions as to where anybody (aside from Kolten Miller) will be playing on the OL. Specifically, with JPJ, maybe they want him to learn how to play LG, because they have already seen him play RG. Maybe the idea is to play him at LG, and move Parham over to RG, because they don't want two rookie to start on the right side, so play Parham at RG, so that Glaze, should he win the job, can get better support. It may even just be an evaluation of JPJ to see IF he can play LG, just in case we should need him to during the season at some point (as Muford did for Miller last year). I don't even know if Andre James is all that secure at Center. Maybe James is the starting center, maybe its Whitehair, maybe its JPJ. Its extremely early to start thinking what we are seeing has any bearing on who will play what position during the up coming season.

Yep, way too early to be reading anything into one on one drills at a Rookie camp. But,,,,,,,,, if he lines up there when the vets show up, that;s a whole nother story.

I would keep him on the Right Side because that is the Tackle that needs the most help.

Bowers is crazy athletic & smooth. His Comp was Kittle but I think he does everything in the pass game better than Kittle. Obviously Kittle blocks better one of the best blocking TE all time

@@SanjitT I'm with you, I've been calling for Parham to go back to RG but with this years roster I think he makes the perfect swing IOL. Peat at LG, Powers at RG and Parham backing up all 3 positions. With these guys we can cover for lack of beef at the center position. 2 seasons from now James will be gone and JPJ will be the center and the world will be a better place.
