Good vid! I used a continuous piece of shrink tube, spraying 303 inside helped the wires go through easily.

Testing the connection before heating the shrink wrap it is nice tip, I would not have thought of that one.

This was the first one I found that the person made a real attempt at good wire management and concealment. Drives me nuts when the people just zip tie them up and down and call it a day lol

Environmental connectors and heat shrink would have made this a lot better.

Are your brackets causing any wind noise from the door jam when driving 60+?

@@ML-mx1py I don't have these yet on my rig but I am looking for one that would fit my triton. does this bracket cause wind noise when driving?

@@DashCamJournalsPH It sure does. i would suggest getting brackets that mounts on top of the roof where the roof rack tabs are placed. i am so close to just ditching these but my rig will be scared with 4 holes ):

@@ML-mx1py Thanks for the input mate, I am considering to purchase a top mount roof bracket as well but I am scared to drill some holes on my rig. :) I am looking into some magnet brackets but this might get my led bar stolen when I parked in a public space.

are those LED brackets universal fit or is it custom made for your rig type?

How is the bar held in place? Does it need to be drilled to the roof with the bracket?

anyone else having any issues with wind noise coming from the door jam where the bracket sits? fixed the light bar whistle noise with cowles edge trim.

Use flux to "tin" your wires prior to soldering and your connections will be MUCH cleaner (plus, they won't require as much heat to solder). OR, you could use shrink connectors with solder built in and it would cut your work in half. (Also, FYI: The "L" in "solder" is silent. Just sayin'...)

"Crimping" with a multitool pliers instead of a crimper.
@dave10963 жыл бұрын
the wiring at the light and copious amounts to tape is not well done. Improper fork connectors at the light, not using a crimping tool. lazy option and should not even be in your playbook for your customers. My dad would punch me in the neck if I pulled that

Omg! I don't recommend anybody this solutions :O 1. You cut bar cables just to put this fast relase connectors on it? 2. You know why ppl invented waterproof connectos with good isolation? 3. You know how many amps swinging in this cables when its on? 4. You cut cables one more time making it 1cm short just to solder it again? 5. Do you know what is minimum thickness for this amperage? :SSS
