    I was actually wondering if it would throw off the look! Mainly the one that overlaps the windshield like this one. Im not really a fan of that but maybe if it was on the roof it MIGHT look good but then I have the moon roof to contend with. I am still undecided if I want to invest the money and drill holes and not like the out come. My older trucks had the actual stainless bar that connected to the top of the door jams I had 4 KC day lighters up there and 2 Blazers in between the brush guard. I loved that. I wish I could have used that rig on my jeep. I also have the hunter brush guard that covers the whole front end like seen here. It has pre drilled holes for lights or a winch. I would like a winch because it already has stock fog lights. www.google.com/search?q=2008+jeep+grand+cherokee+hunter+brush+guard&rlz=1C1CHBF_enUS712US712&espv=2&biw=1366&bih=662&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjWx72Us8TPAhUq2IMKHaSrCXsQ_AUIBygC#imgrc=CdgxLGRuZ8U6XM%3A

    That was interesting that you used rivets to install the brackets. I'm researching Aux lighting for my WJ and this is the first time I've seen this. Are rivets more secure? Did you do it so the door had clearance to shut or maybe because there was no way to get a bolt and nut to work? I love how you did this though. Looks clean. Also, do you have other videos detailing the wiring process and using relays? I don't have much knowledge of that yet either.

  • @martinbuilt

    I have a couple questions if thats ok? 1. where did you get the light bar, relay switches, switches that turn everything on and off in the inside, and the grommets? 2. Is there a video that shows how to hook things up to the relays then to the switches you have on the inside because i like those switches due to them being small? If so whats the name of the video? 3. Where are all those relays hooked up too? I would like to hook two light bars up on my 97 jeep Cherokee, a 50 and a 20. Also maybe hook up a train horn and i would like to use those switches but i don't know how to hook up the relays and the switches.

  • @martinbuilt

    @martinbuilt

    Its been awhile but the relays I believe I got those online by googling a particular part number. I had purchased them originally for the Taurus fan that I installed and bought extras. The switches I got at a local electronics store called keesubs in Las Vegas. I don't have a video on how I install the switches.

  • @martinbuilt

    The brackets are very sturdy.The rivets have not loosen up at all. And yes you can get some wind noise but that is caused from the LED light bar itself. If you silicone the ends of the light bar where the fins are this will eliminate the noise.

    The noise is from the fins on the back. I took some small rubber grommets and sled them in between the fins just several inches from each end of the light. That fixed it for me. You can do the same with silicone chalk. Do not silicone it all just a dab here and there.

    Thank you for your videos BUT STOP THE LED LIGHT BAR INSANITY! That's all I see when I go out. Its like the classic Tootsie Roll commercial, "Whenever it is I think I see, becomes a LED Light Bar to me." They are illegal for on-road use, so you can only use them offroading. But people are installing them on pickups that can't go offroading, so what's the point? I've even witnessed about 3 CARS that had full light bars; FULL LIGHT BARS! I'm talking... one was on a Mustang! Maybe its the drinking water, where I live? Because each "Fad", or whatnot, whether its Fast n Furious nonsense (trashcan mufflers that sound like mopeds, ground kits that don't fit, huge wings on the rear of frontwheel drive cars), lifted turbodiesel trucks, and now extreme wheel camber that Japanese started years ago.
