Personally, if I were to receive the lights I would pass it on to my best mate bc we're both financially struggling, but I think seeing the joy on my friends face would make me more happy then if I was to receive it for myself.

Great video and very informative. Since the birth of our daughter a few weeks ago I’ve started to rethink how our vehicle is set up for camping and touring. Previously I hadn’t really considered driving lights an essential requirement but now, anything I can do to make travel safer for my family is a good thing. We are planning a road trip from Newcastle to Tassie later this year and the Stedi’s would be a very welcome addition. Best of luck everyone!

Your 4x4 videos inspired me to get a 4x4 myself. I am slowly building it up for more longer trips to explore the beauty that Ausie has to offer. With these lights night driving would be another amazing sight to see and keep us safe in the Ute.

Great video Shauno, very well put together and timely as I’m just scouting the internet looking at the many options of LED driving lights after hitting a roo at 90km/h at night. The mighty Pajero survived the impact luckily but certainly made me realize it’s time for a set of spot lights!

Love your channel. Research shows that the light levels for older adults should be increased by at least 50% over those needed by younger people. As someone in my mid 70’s, who still enjoys off road driving, I really need these LED lights to replace my Cibie Oscars which seem to be getting dimmer as I age.

@yarpos Part of his reply is in USA "we can not run them on road" legally. I've got a mixture of floods and " spotty's " on my "fourbie's" no "Roo's" to run in roads but whitetails, moose, antelope, cattle ect ect. . Hitting a moose can be deadly in N. America. Another Yank here, that follows a few 4 Wheel things from there... 👍

Thanks for another awesome and informative video Shauno! My 4wd will definitely benefit from a new set of spotties as the stock headlights aren't the best and the high beam doesn't make much of a difference at all, so a new set of Type X Evo's will definitely aid in those night time drivings far from the city were visibility is minimum and when you are out in the bush searching for a campsite. These lights will definitely increase confidence when driving at night which will also make for a safer journey.

Without a set spotties I have many close encounters with wildlife just like tonight where I almost ran into a kangaroo and rogue dog crossing the road. The new set will easily stop this problem especially with stock headlights. Keep up the stella videos

great to see your trying to help people while plugging your pocket with those awesome looking stedi units. It may be a good idea to inform people about road regs when it comes to Lights, here in vic if they are forward of your "B" piller or behind or above your bull bar bar they are considered camping lights and the switch must not be able to be reach by the the driver while driving, This why I need the Stedi lights because I got defected and had to disconnect my roof mounted light bar which doesn't fit my bar, those steady units would make my rig shine day and night. keep the information coming, well done .

Great show and very informative. You mention IP68 and 3m of water but the thing most people don't consider is driving down the highway at 80km/h in pouring rain, this is when you are going to get potential ingress as the speed forces the water in every hole. Another is a hot light being splashed with cold water, hot lights expand increasing the opportunities for water ingress. IP68 or IP69 tested and certified is the only answer to this and Stedi have stood by their products for many years ensuring your money is well spent. Love the channel and a set of Stedi lights would look fine on the front of my Everest.

Heading on a overdue road trip with a mate in November. I’m heading East in WA from Coolgardie to Hyden on a 4by track these spot lights would be a huge help to dodge the Roos. Keep up the good work lads, love the episodes.

Great info. Especially the specs to look for in a lower priced light. I could really use a set as I'm just starting a budget Pajero/montero build and don't have lights yet.

Finally someone who knows what they are talking about. Being saying similar for years. I am looking at a set of these for our school bus I drive in the upper murray. Deer are hard to see at night, and when driving back from Albury to Corryong, it's a challenge seeing them. We have a cheap set until our finances mean we can donate a set to the community bus we use.

Well sadly I live in Nashville Tennessee. But I still want to say I’d love to own a set of stedi lights someday for my 5th gen 4runner. I’ve got an arb bumper and have some good rigid 6” lights that I love. But stedis are my dream lights. I love y’all’s show and am forever grateful for it. It’s gotten me through some rough times the last few years and I’m forever grateful for y’all’s insight and love for off roading. Someday I’m coming to Australia and would love to at least meet you guys! Keep doing what you are doing!

This vid came at a perfect time, I turned 18 early april, and all within a week got my license, bought my hilux, and drove up to work in the Kimberly. Now I've been up here for a bit I'm looking to upgrade the old lightbar that is on the Lux, and the stedi's would be absolutely ideal for both the roads up north here, and back home in the Victorian highcountry!

Cheers Shauno. I've recently bought my first 4wd and just took it out for its first camping trip last night! Super exciting. I don't have spotties yet and so after the sun set I was relying on my normal headlights to see where I was going. Pretty sketchy. I realized then that spotties are the next thing that I need for my 4wd. Would love to win some! Cheers. Loving all your videos. Will

Hi Shaun, thanks very much for your video on Driving Lights. I have recently purchased a 2020 Toyota Prado and have currently got a Bullbar on order. We are going to be driving through the mid north of SA and will need some good lights. I am currently doing the research so thanks again for your tips. Regards

Great tips on the Spotties. I just bought myself a 4runner and am about to put it on the road. It currently has an original set of spotties that just don't cut the mustard any more so am trying to work out what lights to put on it. A set of Stedi's would fit in nicely.

Great explanation I need a new set since I almost daily drive between goldy and Texas. I have hit a fair few Roos now since the last half of the drive is always in the dark so some good lights should help fix the problem.

So, I purchased a Kings light bar and upgraded the cars headlamp globes and have been pleasantly surprised by the performance. I was also pleasantly surprised by the small (relatively) current draw from the light bar. Now, I’m a Cibie Oscar fella from way back and the Led is a revelation in comparison, with one minor drawback, the light bar is great at the wide box light throw, but I’m missing the beam down the middle of the road, I’m considering adding specific spotlights to compliment the bar, or replace the bar and now that I know you can get pencil beam styles as well, that’s yet another game changer. Thank you for this very enlightening (god I’m funny) video, I learned heaps….cheers.

We haven’t yet put any driving lights on our Troopy but have upgraded the headlights to Stedi’s - after a few night drives on country back roads & night beach driving on Fraser Island we definitely need a good set of Stedi Driving Lights 🙌 Love the Channel - definitely better than Netflix 👍😜

Cleared up alot of myths, Cheers. Living 30km out of down down a track with the regular dive home at night a set of spotties are a must, but the price of living is limiting the mods to the car. Every month i try to pack the family up and head off the beaten track to find free camps and cool farm camps for the weekend, usually arriving pretty late trying to dodge the roos, so it would be nice to se them before hitting them.

Love you guys on what you do and where you go it reminds me of all the memories when I when to some of those magnificent places. 😊
