Very healthy discussion they are appreciating positive outcomes & loopholes we need to learn to fix the prevailing ongoing issues and increase productivity, employment & revenue.

Dr Raghu Ram Rajan is a good material for Nobel Prize just like Amartya Sen and Abhijit Banerjee. He would have got couple of years before but deprived of it just being a brown skinned gentleman and nor has a white skinned spouse. But still I have a great hope that he will definitely make it happen one day or the other. It was a fabulous interview, thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks a ton Dr Pranoy Roy.

Dr Sai Krishna P it was just not you ....I read few other comments. No offence to you. But this is the norm ....we have a habit of talking irrationally....and not taking things to their logical end. This fact is pretty much evident by current hindu-muslim politics and we as a people engulfing in that. It is time we understood that we (hindu,Muslim,Sikh, Christen,...,....,...) belong to the same nation and if the ship sinks we will all go down with that. I hope people will get to the basic understanding of our constitution....which by definition is the "differences on which we agree". just grow up India ....world is rising .....and so should we....

If the political set up is same as China we too can progress. Government in China has supreme powers and no one can question the Government actions. China’s fiscal policies are not transperant like here. Here it is free for all but still political parties grib on freedom. No one talkes about autocratic political set up in China

Yes and no, I told that I disagree with him in lot of things including the fact he didn't reduce interest rates which is making manufacturing struggle even now. However, I would say the NPA & credit growth reduction are result of congress term which over flowed the credit without proper checks. Now the banks are looking to save themselves so they will not provide credit and manufacturing will suffer until we go through a complete cycle which should end around 2020 in normal scenario. I believe market follow it's cycle and we should let it take it course when the govt enters to solve the issue they create a bigger issue for future. Coming to my point, I don't care if he is in favor for India or not but he is technically guru for Finance/Economics people like us and the rule of law physics also apply every action as equal and opposite reaction....You may take or may not take action....Like demonetization. So he may/may not be a good RBI governor but he is know it all guy.

As i understood R. Rajan gave some wage answers not clearing what would be the best, exception to some common questions. Although listening to him is a pleasure.

Yet to see a more intelligent RBI governor who works so dedicatedly for "his" country!

Mr. RR is best employee for India because he loves his Motherland.

In the good old days of Congress, Doordarshan used to carry a song in a "Gramin" program which ran : "Tu bhookha rahe agar, to mujhse bhi na khaya jaye...." Today, we are so eager to catch tax evaders - that we get DeMo and dont worry about the deaths of 150 innocent citizens, we are so eager to catch pilferage in PDS benefits - that we get adhar and dont worry about bonafide citizens being denied benefits due mismatches, about harassing ailing senior citizens, not to speak of the serious implications due to encroachment of individual privacy, as also the threat of security lapses.... Magnanimous India should be ready & willing to feed anyone on its "sar-zameen" - after all, what is it that we are losing - subsidy on some grains ? Pilferage is insignificant vis-a-vis the "dua" given by a poor person who has eaten well....Possibly, lots of our problems are due to the harassment caused to certain minorities and under-privileged classes...Again, just like happened in DeMo, we should not bring in shotguns to kill mosquitoes....India is a huge country and should retain its magnanimity since "mehmaan jo hamara hota hai, wo jaan se pyara hota hai" This is about an trillion rupee economy having 130 crore population - it is not about managing a "chaye ki dukaan"...
