- Lots of Chomsky available online, whole audiobooks (probably) at your local Library. Great stuff from a mind.

Unlike others who work to scripts and a narrow scope, he is able to master on-the-fly Q&A so masterly that he is the utmost authority. If anybody is better, anybody at all, I have yet to hear them. It's very unfortunate that the audio is so poor that certain passages are virtually inaudible. I am straining to hear everything!

I was looking for something a bit different so decided to LISTEN TO SOME CHOMSKY AND THIS VIDEO SEEMED TO be a lovingly put-together introductory piece for those who ARE NOT VERY FAMILIAR WITH CHOMSKY'S BROADER BODY OF WORK AND WANT A NICE OVERVIEW. THAT said I know I'm not the only one to mention it, but there's some substantial difference in audio levels between SOME SEGMENTS THAT I think can be distracting - ty.

I think he also says "bullshit" in Chapter 2 of Understanding Power when he's talking about free market theory. You don't exactly "hear" it since it's in a book, but still.

If he describes the morality of Britain and France as high standards then he’s degrading himself, Britain’s and France morality cannot be judged just inside Britain but it should be judged how much atrocities they commenced in India 🇮🇳, Australia 🇦🇺, Africa , Latin American and with of course blacks and redindians. The morality and standard you follow is just not included inside your home just with your family but overall how you behave with your neighbors, strangers and fellow persons. The country and people who commenced maximum atrocities and crimes and harm to humanity giving lectures on how well they are behaved and singing the glorious bastardised empire with blood and gore and hunger of humanity.

Hopefully you're still active in this account but can you tell me how muslims suffer from islam? Isn't it a choice for the intellectuals? Also you saying that the usa intervention in an independent country is for saving it from a genocide that was going to happen in it is just delusional in my opinion. Because if so then why didn't the usa intervene in world war directly if the ultimate goal was preserving the world from atrocities. You can give me an explanation, but it will just be something to back up the claim that the usa seeks "greater good". But that is never the case for any world power.

@ur_mom_is_so_fat Nothing you've said here makes any sense. Half the Muslim population lives in bags, but ur asking me how Muslims suffer? Muslim women in Iran have been known to send their children into mine fields to clear the way for Jihadis, and praise Allah every time one of them is blown to pieces. The only way a mother could do this to their child is if they are suffering in ways u couldn't possibly imagine. Women are even beheaded for soccer half-time entertainment only because the husband claims infidelity with no evidence. Everybody suffers under Islam, but Muslims get the worst of it. This all just highlights the morally obscene behavior of Chomsky. Think about... Why would Chomsky live in Syria, for example, watching quietly and obediently as gays are thrown from rooftop when he can do the same thing from his mansion in Massachusetts as he does? And yes, US foreign policy has been terrible, but letting a million people die just because you're worried we might put a military base in Africa? come on. We directly intervened in WW2. Are u really going to say that Germany and Japan are in bad shape?

I do agree with you that most of the population in muslim countries (and all third world countries regardless of religion) are mere ignorants who live under the assumption that the life they have is the only way to live (if that makes sense). And them basically "sacrificing" their children for some cause they are tought to believe in is not something unique to an ignorant society. You can't blame a religion that has proven to be a strong tool of many intellectuals to understand the meaning of morality, for the doing of the ignorant. I am pretty certain that you only think that Islam is the cause for the ignorance and suffering of its people because a big portion of the ignorant in the world are muslims. And because they have been vilified by western media so much that it just makes sense that islam is a means of hatred and oppression. I am not a muslim but I believe in this and maybe you can convince me with what you believe as long as you are ready to listen.

A woman is not beheaded if she cheats on her husband, and he needs her to confess to cheating or needs 4 witnesses to vouch. So if women are beheaded because if cheating it is not because of islam but because of, again, ignorance in society. "Islam is keen on preserving the honour and dignity of the Muslims and protecting them from anything that could spoil their dignity. That's why Islam legislated a severe punishment for those who accuse a chaste Muslim, male or female, of not being chaste without evidence. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): {Verily, those who accuse chaste women, who never even think of anything touching their chastity and are good believers, are cursed in this life and in the Hereafter, and for them will be a great torment,}[24: 23]. Therefore, this man is slandering his wife (accusing his wife about her chastity), thus he deserves the punishment of a slanderer unless he brings four witnesses, or that his wife acknowledges the act, or they invoke the curse of Allaah on the liar."

@@SuperSpeedMonkey 3- punishing being gay in seria: First of all, there is no one that becomes gay in muslim socities if they acquired their personality within their society if that makes sense. Because you are what you know and since these muslim societies are tought that these ideas are not okay, they will see anyone that is gay as an outsider and since they are ignorant (not because of religion if you still believe in that), they will exclude him from their "community" and fight him. And nowadays that doesn't even happen to a lot of muslims I think because a lot are influenced by the western ideologies because they are weak, ignorant and have access to these ideologies through the internet. So they want to live the life that we have in the west and ditch their ideas and traditions to act like living the life of a western man. But most are tought to not accept it, so that creates conflict between who copied and who has never seen the western side of the world. So people will hate them more. And this is why all "weak" societies in an era hate the culture of the "more advanced" society. And since gays are a product of our modern society they will hate them. And fight them. Edit: excuse me the united states did fight a the nazis using the us navi. I'm sorry for the mistake. (But they didn't do that single act of war on the nazis because they wanted peace. But because german vessels were a threat to the defence of the us)
