I have a cat that's half Ragdoll and half Siamese. I am sooo attached to her. She follows me like a dog from room to room. Even when I go to the bathroom, she jumps on the sink and crawls onto my chest. She wants me to hold her. She is PRECIOUS!

@Joe Ç There are some breeds more affectionate and chill than Ragdoll, but sometimes it depends on your luck because not everyone is the same. Some breeds are more affectionate but not a lap cat. Some are cuddly and a lap cat but not friendly to all people and other dogs and cats. Maine Coon is more like Ragdoll. They look mean but just a gentle giant.

I have a 17 year old Flame Point Ragdoll. I got her at a rescue when she was found wandering the halls of a local high school. They estimated her to be 3 years old then. Poor baby, she was so horribly matted, so I told them I would take her if they shaved all the mats off, and they did. She is the sweetest cat I've ever had. Love her to bits!

I love my ragdoll. She means a everything to me. We’re bonded together and she’s a one person cat. I picked her because she didn’t have a name and she was a beautiful kitten. Crazy how long ago that was.

We have a 17 year old ragdoll named Gracie that we got as a kitten and she is still as beautiful and affectionate as ever! Her hearing is not as good these days but she still has plenty of energy and loves to play. Love these cats 🙂

Ultimate cat in my opinion, they have the stunning looks, barely any breed specific health issues, wonderful dog-like temperament and in total are just one of the best breeds to own. Would recommend to anyone from an active lifestyle to a lazy one, families to single owners, all around just gorgeous and perfect cats. I think the only downside is their fur, it gets everywhere! When people tell me “their fur doesn’t shed that much” I call bullsh*t Lol. I don’t personally mind it, but I know a lot of people who hate fur getting everywhere and hate dealing with cleaning it up and having to groom them everyday. Other than that, super well behaved cats, easily trainable and very family/owner orientated. One of the most affection cats I’ve ever had. Put enough effort into training them, they will do many tricks for you and my baby even walks on leash and goes to parks and beaches with me. My cats have been super dog friendly, but a lot of them are not too cat friendly. You’ll have to socialise them a lot if you want them to be cat friendly.

Esraa Naaman mine eat Origen... and since that, i’m more than satify by his « fur » improvement. I think they need more nutrients and omega than other cats. It’s my personal experience and opinion.

I adopted a cat from the Humane Society. I’m 100% convinced he’s a ragdoll. He’s a character. One thing I noticed is that he reminded me more of a puppy, and there you have it!

I had no idea what kind of cat I had, just to be honest I’m not a big cat person, however when I found bitty, he was nearly dead & I doctored him, he’s beautiful with his long white hair, blue eyes and dog like temperament. ( so being a dog owner) I fall in love with him. Then I see this video, I’m sure he is a rag doll he watches me take shower, he goes everywhere with me. I LOVE this cat! He eats a lot though but he loves fetching paper balls. Such a smart feller! ❤️ Thank you for the video

I adopted 2 male Ragdolls from a humane society. They told me thy were four year old bonded brothers and were found wondering around loose. Someone brought them to the shelter. I was in the market for a cat and when I saw the boys I fell in love. The shelter told me they were Ragdolls but the never said these two skinny cats would turn into large eating machines. They are not very loving and do not enjoy being handled. They will sit beside me to be brushed but jump down soon as brushing stops. The part you said about their fascination with water is true though as they love to follow me into the bathroom when I shower or when I flush the toilet they love to watch the water go down the drain. I can’t get them into a cat carrier they fight me and it’s not worth scaring them so I have to have vet techs come to my house to trim their claws and clean their ears, (costly) It takes two to do the job, one to hold them and one to clip. I have to feed them special expensive food because of their hairball problem...don’t get me wrong, I am committed to these beautiful boys now but I wish I would have seen your video before I adopted them, I would have come home with a plain old cat that wanted to be held and cuddled and didn’t eat me out of house and home...❤️❤️

@Gol.d Tori no , I love ragdolls and have a small hobby cattery aside my morning job , Ragdolls especially healthy ones are hard to find , I do not have trouble placing my furry babies in loving families , of course you would be red flagged for your unloving and jumping to negative conclusions according to the darkness of your heart .

They are great! Got one myself and hes really really cute and funny, sweet and so many other things. Hes almost like a dog, just way different then any other breed. I love them!

Putting out another video about Ragdolls this week.

My Maine coon reminds me of rag doll. I want a stage 5 clinger cat. My cat was murdered out of spite. She was my baby. I would put her in my purse to the movies, restaurant, work, vaction, everywhere. Little foot had some deformities but they made her perfect. She loved eating and sleeping. After 5 months she stopped growing I had her for two years. She liked showering with me. She loved soapy massages. She couldn't hear and didn't have teeth. When I blow dried her she was scared of the wind. She slept on me everynight. I still ache missing her. I'll never get another docile cat that slept all day. Never tried jumping out. Ppl would want to hold her and she would light up. She knew how to charm ppl. Bumping her head on a chin. She would never clean herself but she would turn to strangers with the cuteness. She hated drinking water and I thought her she got a treat after a drink. She would try tricking me by bearly taping the tip of her non-serrated tongue in to the water ever so softly and then quickly look at me like "I drink mommy where is my yummy treat." Little stinker had me wrapped around her paw. I will always hurt until we meat again. I hope it's soon.

I highly agree. My rescue RagDoll is always talking and I love it. Something maybe forgotten here was they are incredibly smart and even trainable, atleast my Baroness is. And she sure loves water and she's very touchy she likes putting here paws on my face.

I got her from Kijiji her owner ended up moving places and they don’t allow animals there, so she had to say goodbye to her kitten and I bought it from her. Originally she was giving her away for $550 CAD but I asked for a discount and she lowered it to $450. Her previous owner says she wants to see the kitten grow, so she asked me if she could follow my instagram, and I just think that’s so sweet and precious

After her Himalayan died, I wanted a cat that wouldn't remind me of "Boogs", the Himalayan because I grew to love Boogs very much. I bought her a Ragdoll. She's nothing like Boogs. She will lie down next to you and put her paws on each cheek of your face. She's so loveable and gentle. I miss Boogs a lot, but "Cocoa" (I call her "Little Girl, and she responds) is very sweet and loving. We enjoy her company very much. I made a good decision in buying her.

I adopted 2 cats from a shelter. Both are extremely friendly and sleep with me.

I have a boy ragdoll mixture with blue eyes and points. He kind of does his own thing but he loves to cuddle up on the bed with me in winter or get front and center at the fan in summer. He seems to hang around my parents a lot because as a kitten he was more with my mum then me when I was working. But he did convert my dad to a cat lover so he did a good job there the vet said. I love him a lot because out of my 4 cats he is the main one who lets me pick him up and cuddle him and I can walk around with him sitting on me and he doesn't mind for a little while. He loves everyone! He is a great cat.

The pointed ragdoll also change color with temperature. Darker is colder Lighted is warmer I have a Snowshoe/Ragdoll mix The ragdoll also has less allergens for a long haired cat.

we got a ragdoll cat accidentally, ours was a stray and we didn't realize he was a ragdoll as he's a tuxedo cat but funnily enough he has all traits of a ragdoll as he's extremely floppy but all he ain't cuddly as he's extremely shy and gets scared easily, their such a huge cat it's crazy, he is such a big baby though once he feels like being affectionate, we named him Phantom

We live within Baker until I was fourteen almost fifteen years old and then my parents moved further into Riverside California it's off of Magnolia Avenue but we were still on Sunday go over to an Baker's house after church and help her with the cats are the very sweet sweet woman and the cats are beautiful they are very loving cats very hairy and a lot of fur balls lol my goal is to someday go back to there and just kind of check them out again and see how the people are doing that are taken over her which is there in Merced still in the same place just off of Central Avenue I will say that I was very friendly and very honored me and my sister both to be kids that she chose left live in her house with her and work with her with the cats it was an honor to know her

Amy Quon, ha ha, so cute! Before I found out that mine was a ragdoll, the kids called him puppycat and I had names him Lynx, come to find out, he's a lynx ragdoll. Oh and when he was little also, before I knew what he was, i called him Floppy Cat, for a nickname lol!

I love my ragdoll, and she's reinvigorated my older moggies, the 5 of them scamper around the house chasing each other, and cuddle up for naps like litter mates. She is very puppy like, right down to chewing EVERYTHING, unfortunately she has a particular love of electrical wires! We've covered every cord we can with protectors, but her toll is impressive. Including most of our current Christmas decorations, 2 macbook chargers, a tablet charger, a phone charger, 2 sets of headphones and a gaming consul headset (some happened before we could get the cable protectors on).

vogonsrock lol my cat loves chewing on headphones. He has chewed through every single pair of Apple headphones that I’ve owned (the ones that come w/ a new phone)... and chews the off brand replacement ones too. Good thing I got airpods lol. He also has a thing for chewing and scratching on flip flops and chewing on back pack straps. He is really specific with what he chews on lol

It's actually a cute idea that you included your daughter and let her speak, but you should value privacy. Anyway, you just showed how awesome you are as a father.

elsa blue mine does that. He will hit it once and then run away.. he used to play fetch as a kitten (1yr old). Or retrieve toys that got stuck under beds and couches. But he has gotten lazier over the years and doesn’t do that anymore

My ragdoll dislikes being held loves being petted, hes our cat-dog. Loves being around his hoomans.

Well I knew my cats mother was a short haired tabby and his dad was most likely the neighbors big white monster of a cat. I now know that he is predominantly his father's son. 15 lbs bright blue eyes, places fetch and can't stand not to be held. Lol. Drinks from the faucets all over the house. Comes when you call him, although my last cat also could be called. The vet looked at him and asked ragdoll? I said, "uhm, cat?!" looked it up on here and this definitely solidifies that vets hunch. He doesn't go quite so limp as some I've seen on KZread but pretty darn close. Second best cat I've ever owned. No one beats Max. R.I.P. Maxiaxioriyay.

Haha my boy is too! He was nagging me for food before supper time one time so I set his food in the bathtub with water surrounding it until he gave up on it and laid back down. Then I took it out and let him eat. So sad.. that fear of water.

yasashii89, my Ragdoll Lynx likes toilet water, like a dog, he likes to play in it. Have to keep the lid shut lol. The only other thing that doesn't jibe with that of a ragdoll, and I've heard other owners say this, mine doesn't like to be held, well, not for a long period. He does the floppy thing when u do and he wants to sit next to u and talk and wants to be petted(?)and loves people, especially someone new lol and has every other trait of a ragdoll, but to sit and hold him, naw, it's not his favorite lol. Ijs.

I really want to get a rag doll, but one of my parents has a allergy to them, Someone please help me. I have a question, if you groom them everyday do they shed? Because I really Hope rag dolls are a special cat that you never get allergies from. I know a every fact about them, But not that one. So here is a list of what you should do: 1. If you have got a baby cat, then put it inside a blanket, and hold it while you are going home, and if you have got a adult, then put it in a big cage in your boot. (Of the car of course) 2. When you get home clean it and groom it because it needs to be groomed everyday. 3. Next you have to play with it and pay as much attention as you can to it. 4. Then after you have to let it nap. Heartgirl Thecute Not all are lazy cats.. they can differ from high energy to being docile. It depends on the personality of that specific cat. But you won’t know until you own it. Like my ragdoll used to be very high energy and sometimes still is but he mostly hangs out or sleeps but that’s only because he lives in a home that isn’t active at all. All I do is hang and chill. He would be more active if I had kids or another pet, but I don’t. As for the fur, they shed a lot. They can get matted if you don’t brush them. My cat is good about grooming himself so I brush him even less than once a month. But my mom takes him to get trimmed at PetSmart because she doesn’t like the shedding. He doesn’t mind getting the fur cut because he gets less hair balls and grooms less. He rolls in dirt to get loose fur off of himself too. Hope that helps.
