    As almost anywhere in Mongolia you can camp freely, but this river is quite remote and very difficult to access and you are completely on your own out there. We actually ran into quite some trouble on this trip. There's bears too... I would not recommend going there without an experienced local guide.

    @@peschkom-mongolianwanderings99 I didn’t know bears are so close to Tuul river but near the northern region. I thought wolves would be more common. When I camped by the Tuul river, it was very peaceful except an unfriendly guard dog was quite aggressive

    @@donaldpang You're right, there are usually no bears in the southern part of Gorkhi-Terelj. This video here is from a trip further north in Khan Khentii Strictly Protected Area, on one of the two main tributaries that form the Yeröö river.

    @@donaldpang my pleasure. I have several other river trips planned out, but right now it's almost impossible to get out of the city due to Covid-restrictions....
