@@iliveonatropicalisland6086 The thing that struck me particularly was the size of the studio - very small. We were stood feet away from Jonny Greenwood. The camera lenses they use are fisheye lenses i believe which makes the stage look larger than it is. The sound quality was also the best and most clear i have ever heard at a gig.

they do when they play the song for TV appearances (see colbert 2011). they dont tour with an orchestra or horn section.
No idea who followed them on the show, but can you imagine? They must’ve been like “what’s the fucking point now?”
My brain just goes on some kind of tilt and I have to come back and listen to this again.
I remember my mother screaming at me when I was a teenager, when she was asking me to put the sound lower because it was to loud in the house 😂 it was so good

So when Jonny is fiddling with a TV or radio (i.e., SNL) during this song, what exactly is he doing? How does it contribute to the performance?
@josephalarcon2380

Jonny is sampling the sounds through the radio or tv and playing them back, typically through an effect. In this performance the TV sampling is mostly heard in the intro and in the verses
